Ba Dorode Faravan be jenabe ostad Darioush Saghafi. Omidvaram ke bish az 100 saal omr konin. Ba en sedaye rouhani va malakotoyi santoor shoma, man zende shodam. Many love from Australia
53 years ago I left Iran and at that time I had a dear friend by the name of Cyrus Saghfi. His younger brother was taking santoor lessons from one of the well known ostads. Unfortunately the busy life in the U.S. took its toll and we lost track. A few years ago my sister in Iran told me Cyrus had passed away. I wonder if Mr. Dariush is related to Cyrus or could he be the younger brother? In any case, I love his videos, performed so beautifully. Iraj B. Calif.
that was great! thanks for sharing this piece with us; took me to Tabriz, when I was attending Dr Behjat's courses. I recall he told us the his Santour teacher was Maestro Darioush Saghafi. This is the first time I see a clip from Maestro Saghafi. It is like chasing your family tree and find out where you are coming from. This piece was so precious to me; thanks again; I would appreciate if you could share more pieces of Maestro please.
