Just can't get my head around the mindset of of some people who always find negativities in even the most positive and pleasurable moments/memories of life. Who cares whose music it is and from which country, it's a masterpiece and pure talents that captivates their audience. Peace on earth and harmony among-st living being.
Thank you for this amazing music. It takes me back to my childhood, and great memories of past, my dad ( RIP ) listened to this kind of music when he gathered with his friends. P.s. and drink or smoke opium = poison, which I wish he never did!
I miss playing this instrument. I've been looking for once since I moved to the U.S. May just have my cousin send his over from Kapan. I used ot play the santur quite a bit, it's always bee nprecious to me and my mother Amna Sarkisian.
Ramazan Bayat Idk either, I hate history I hate culture I hate religion, I hate modern Iranian music And as a gen Z I usually prefer metal and rock lol But somehow... in a peculiar way, I like old Iranian music
Simply beautiful! Man zabane Santoor & Tombak ra doost daram. Amazing & entrancing sound. I feel honoured and appreciate the Video of this amazing performance. Kheili mamnoon
for those of us who understand indian music (classical may not be the right term to use here, perhaps systematic music), so its difficult to drop the lens of our music and listen to other forms as they are. what do you think?
I mean, if I lack knowledge about technicalities of said form of music, I can only use what reference I have... My comment was meant to hint towards possible common origins of the content of Indian and Iranian music, in line with the similarity of instruments used.
Thank you for this amazing music. It takes me back to my childhood, and great memories of past, I remember my dad ( RIP ) listened to this kind of music whenever he gathered with his friends. And I know he is in his best mood so I ask for money and he give me the most, like $100 for a 6 years old, lol P.s. those days man gathered and drink or smoke opium = poison.
I thank you for allowing me to experience your talent.....💐💐 My Farsi is weak due to living in America for maney years.....music reminds me of "shahreh gesseh"..I used to watch that when I was a little boy in iran... I miss Iran soo very much..all I have is memories
This persian music is sooo nice to listen to. The persian culture must be nice a amazing. It is a shame that this iranian mullahs do such a cruel a disgusting politics a put great shame to that country. All persian people i met a got to know are nice characters.
@ritawewer3235 please do not get me started with those rapists... I have very strong opinions about those SOBs....but life goes on, and I'm glad you find the music as pleasant as I do...👍🏻
I never knew the Santoor was Persian. I was introduced to it through Indian Classical by Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. This however is very beautiful. I love the sound of that Tombak. My friends always give me shit for listening to "Middle Eastern Music." How ignorant they are. I love this!
Love this - amazing sound you got! What mic(s) are being used and what make/manufacturer is the Daf if i may ask? You got some quality sound- great low tones, an love what you do with it instrumentally. Quality! ❤
Santur purifies your mind. Love these Persian tunes full of joy for life.

I can't get enough of these great artists. I am so delighted to be part of this great culture and tradition.
So proud of these masters, music is played so beautifully.
Thank you for this amazing music. It takes me back to my childhood, and great memories of past, my dad ( RIP ) listened to this kind of music when he gathered with his friends.
P.s. and drink or smoke opium = poison, which I wish he never did!

Oh My God! It takes me back to my childhood, and great memories of past. Thank you woderful job. Though thanks is not enough
As an Indian classical music enthusiast, what strikes me is the resemblance of the tune to Raag Kirwani.

Cos they are ignorant and confined to their small worlds. Welcome to the birthplace of all civilizations. Remember, sun rises in the east.
Even he "indian" Sitar has it's birth in iran, the septar became the sitar!
Sean Rafferty santour fir iran
I love this music to and my so-called friends only like pig-music and bounka-bounka ,so they call me stupid and mad .
cause santoor is indian, santur is persian :) the dont even look alike. dariush saghafi is playing a santur. the titel is misleading.
Amazing sound
Beautifully played. Thank you for the upload
I find 9:40 most enthralling when the tombak changes from background to lead.

No one can appreciate Persian music like a Persian.

Thanks for your kind words I don’t know what mic is used since it is recorded at CMU in Pittsburgh USA
Santoor and tombak were created to made a relation of harmonism of each other.

This has part of Venezuelan Festejo, Andes mountain music, Caribbean rumba, and a lot of etc
Persians have been playing this music long before any one inhabited places that you mentioned.
