i really do not understand how people get around with so little stuff in their backpack. mine is very small, but packed to the brim with almost 15kg. i could not leave the house without my screwdriver kit, soldering iron, lock picking kit, notebook and so much more.
Thanks for this video man, I'm definitely getting that power bank to add it to my EDC, also I didn't know that Bellroy has that type of wallet, I just got a new one recently and I've been loving ittt.
For the smartwatch, consider going all in with Samsung! If you're looking for a secondary fitness tracker, the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 is an excellent choice. It boasts a long battery life, an IP68 rating, and a large AMOLED display. Plus, it integrates seamlessly with the Samsung ecosystem.
I own Galaxy Fit 3. Using smartwatch for any other uses don't makes sense. So buying it was a good decision plus seamless integration with Samsung Ecosystem + Long Battery
if you are after a smartwatch with great battery for working out I highly recommend any Garmin watch, I had one in 2021 and it was a monster. It would need a charge once a week after 10 to 15 hours of cycling or running.
Its so refreshing seeing an EDC which isnt "iPhone, mac, airpods, apple watch, secondary phone, wallet, keys, backup headphones". Just simple and clean. All i need for an EDC is a phone, wallet and earbuds. Why overcomplicate something thats not complicated at all
If you're purely on a budget and using a smartwatch just for exercise and sleep tracking, check out Huawei's GT line. Had my GT2 since 2021 and haven't looked back since. Still get that 2 weeks of battery life.
For a fitness tracker, I’ve been using whoop for a while now. Unless i somehow fall out of love with that minimalism (i wear it on a bicep band) as well as with mechanical watches, I can’t see myself switching to anything else. I dislike the subscription model but it about 3 years worth of an Apple Watch Ultra which would’ve been my smartwatch of choice so it’s not that bad of a value, if you consider a smartwatch isn’t going to last forever either.
I depend on a lot of third-party and/or cross-platform services so I have no need to stay stuck to 1 ecosystem or the other ☺️ planning on making a video about this!
Honest question, what kinds of apps do you use/need on your smartwatch? The reason I'm asking is because the battery in Huawei watches paired with their functionality and design is what makes them a perfect fit for my needs. The 41mm version gets up to 7 days of actual, real-world use, while my 46mm gets up to 14 days (with my specific use - it's more like 12 days, which is still a lot). I have loaded audiobooks and songs on the watch, so when I go to the gym, I just wear it and my OnePlus Wireless headphones, and I can't be happier with that setup. For context - I'm using the Huawei Watch GT4 Green Edition. Looking forward to hearing about your needs and use cases. :) Also, cheers for another great video!
Hey, thanks for watching and for the thoughtful comment! That battery life sounds amazing. Really, I only need Spotify (offline) for my runs and a fully featured fitness app that syncs with my phone for all other workouts. Any smartwatch is game for me if it can fulfill those but with much much better battery life than my Pixel Watch 😂
You are a real legend mate…not sticking to one shitty eco system is very inspiring.please also make a video as to how not to stick into one ecosystem..(either Apple/google/samsung )
As an Apple user I recently changed my Apple Watch to a Xiaomi band for only fitness purpose. Also started to wear normal watches. Reason why, notification i usually get from my phone which has airplay continuity to my MacBook. I did sacrifice the sleeping function since I’m not wearing the mi band while sleeping, my mi band is hanging on my gym bag, when in need at the gym I’ll wear it and put it back on my bag after the workout
great in terms of battery life but really bad in tracking workouts. Mi Bands are 60% as accurate as chest straps, whereas the Apple Watch is 99% accurate in Cardio and about 90% in lifting workouts. You might wanna use the Apple Watch if you want better tracking.
You have devices from all across the spectrum, thats very nice....do they work together as well as if you were only using devices from apple or samsung?
Thanks! I use a mix of first party and third party services/apps to make sure everything is accessible on all devices i.e. Microsoft Authenticator, Edge, Google Photos, OneDrive, Google Calendar/Gmail

Dude how is your samsung's battery faring so far? I'm thinking of switching from an iphone to samsung but I'm skeptical about the long-term battery life in terms of how fast it degrades. thanks a lot
I really wish I didnt work a job that requires 2 laptops, because I'd love to mimic your setup. Some suggestions: buds 3 pro instead of nothing ears. Carry a 45/65w GAN charger, they're tiny and they'll save you. Replacement for a smarttag+ is smart tag 2, it's smaller with the same features. For watches you're stuck in the Samsung ecosystem, I'd look into the 5 pro since they got good batteries. I'd also look into a withings watch, that's what I carry but it's not exactly a smart watch it's a hybrid.
Dang you gotta carry 2 laptops every day? That's heavy 😭 Multi port GAN charger and SmartTag upgrades are good ideas. Thanks for that! Not a fan of how Galaxy Watches look but I'll take a look 👌

Even though it seems like you aren't really an apple guy, I know my dad has the Apple Watch Ultra and he wears it all hours of every day. He only has to charge it every two or three days, and I think the ultra 2 is even better.
I will suggest getting a Garmin instead of a full fledge smartwatch. Thank me later. You can decide between Garmin Instinct or something like Garmin Fenix or a Garmin Venu if that's your style. They are available from $100 upto $3200. Yeah I said $3200. One thing you'll love about garmin watches that you'll forget where your charging cable is.
I've been using the oneplus watch 2 for a while now. I was going to get the watch ultra or the pixel watch 3 but the oneplus has amazing battery life and its been super consistent.
For smartwatch, I'd recommend getting the flagship Xiaomi smartwatches - any of the ones from the Watch S1, Watch S2, or Watch S3. I'm using the Watch S1; has superb battery life - I only have to charge it every week or two. It has a clean UI; app notifications and watch faces are identical to what you get on Wear OS watches. You do lose out on app integration since it runs on a MIUI/HyperOS skin instead of WearOS, but the tradeoff's more than worth it.
