Thank-you for posting this. First saw Hawkwind (with Stacia) over 52 years ago...Sigh! Time Lords Indeed.... It is so comforting and re-assuring in this ever darkening world to know they are still playing.🙃😎
What a trip......there's a local guy in our community named Del Dettmar. He was in Hawkwind back in the day - first as a soundman, then as a keyboard player. I don't hear the name often these days......
that's so cool. One time I invited him to a jam session and he said: "I'll bring my axe'. Lots of musician use that term, no matter if they play sax, guitar, etc. Del showed up with an actual wood chopping axe . It had one string on it, and it was hooked up to a Pitch to Midi box and a Yamaha synth module.......Quite a wild guy and a fun and surreal night......
I was 14 when I 1st heard In Search of Space on phones & acid both 1st's in 1972. They changed my life & I've never stopped being grateful for Hawkwind. Especially the albums up to & including Warrior at the Edge Of Time. Levitation was the other massive album for me with Ginger Baker on Drums, Huw Lloyd Langton & Tim Blake back on top!~
Thanks for posting. Saw the Bath show a few days earlier, which was my 3rd Hawkwind show - the others I saw were in the early 1990s. I have to say the Bath show was the best of the three - they are a great band now.
Was at this gig what a joy to see it again ,thank you!
👍
Happy 83rd turn around the sun Captain Brock. Keep on rocking
I was there. Bloody glad that I was too. It was VERY LOUD. They did an absolutely blistering version of Psi Power.

I couldn’t agree more. I have been seeing them since 1972 and am still in awe despite the myriad of changes since then.
I have been seeing them since decimalisation day I think they still the best band ever, I'm 71😊@@ProfessorSynth
@@Pea-s1v I think my first gig was 1972. Still enjoy it every time

Del was a very important member of Hawkwind back in the 70’s
I'll bet. He's quite a character. I've had him to a couple of jam sessions over the years. He's quite a colourful character.
Wow, Del is a Hawkwind legend, saw him many times with them.
@@willswitchcraft when you next see Del tell him theres a lot of love for him and that era of hawkwind here in the uk !

@@GrahamSouthorn yes I saw some clips of the Bath show on YT, it looked great. I have been following Hawkwind since the early 70s 😁
Glad I was there .
I was up in front of Doug about 10 metres back... my clothing was moving from the force
@@Bretthall8 braver man than I 😂
Dave brock?
Yup he is still going. It wouldn’t really be Hawkwind without Dave
Fantastic. Great vocals still. Last saw Daves Hawkwind in St Ives 2016 or 17.
Great upload, great memories.
Cheers from Penzance. 👍
Dave’s voice/guitar/everything are still astounding. Thank you, for posting!
