    Great song. I'm Greek-American and a graduate student in modern Greek and Macedonian History. More songs like his need to be produced in order for the majority of Greeks to come to grips with its recent past so that it can move forward.
    Long live the Republic of Macedonia!

    this song makes my heart bleed and puts tears in my eyes!this is the truth greece is trying to hide from the world and the only reason for me they wanna change our name!

    LYRICS
    With victory i toailored cuts that once were bleeding by the evil that u hide
    i stand mute before your restlessness that hunts you to destroy everything of mine
    Gathering love from Heavens I gathered the strenght to keep on watching u
    Now i can say I've left all of back and behind.
    I EXIST!! I FORGIVE U ALL
    with this heart of mine you wont see moan
    I forgive u all and your passion,urge,to see me gone.
    Growing up,now i know how to live on.

    Lyrics:
    I successfully tailored (patched) all the wounds made by that doom deep inside you.
    I fell silent for your words, for your anxiety to devour everything that's mine.
    I gathered heavenly love, I found the strength to face you.
    Now I can say - everything's left behind me.
    I exist.
    Everything is forgiven from this heart when it will meet you.
    You are forgiven, and your will for me not to exist.
    I grew up and understood how to live.

    Yes,during the war there were casualties on both sides, but what about before the war?My family, and all the other Macedonians participated in that war because of the terror before the beggining of the war. And in that time the Communists in Greece promised the Macedonians that the basic human rights would be respected, that is why all the Macedonians there supported the Communists. And this video is dedicated to those Macedonians there, not to the political problems today.

    I believe you are familiar with the examples that confirm my point here - the example of Philotas, when he was executed... At the same event, when Alexander had to made the hard decision whether to amnesty Philotas or not, he asked his closest friends and generals for their opinion, and his secretary Eumenes (who was Greek) said that he could not get into it, because he is Greek and only Macedonians had the right to make decisions about amnesty.

    The result of greeces failed landgrab was the Pontus refugees. 500,000 of them forced out of Turkey and settled, predominantly in Agean Macedonia at the expence of the unfortunate macedonians that marked there ethenticity as Macedonian on there census form. These macedonians became the desportia and were forced to take refuge in other nations in Europe and the rest of the world.

    @gesdim: I can't really understand what you're asking me in your third point. Nevertheless, I have nothing against a possible future stronger presence of Slav Macedonians in Thessaloniki in such a context. Economic interests can be legitimate. Cultural differences, or the other hand, are not so big as one may think. And honestly, people of different cultures living together can only be a positive thing.

    I read in one of asisrodis's comments that "ancient Macedonians were Greeks, their language was Greek etc..." I honestly believe that you are aware of the fact that the ancient Macedonians had their own language, different from the Greek language. That's why the Greeks were not able to understand their language, that's why Demosthenes called the ancient Macedonians barbarians, called their language barbarian language etc.. .

  • @macedonian89
    @macedonian89 15 лет назад

    Why do all these people declare that they are Macedonians?Who told them that?Who told my family,from both sides of the border that they were Macedonians?And if they were Bulgarians why did they fought also against the Bulgarians?Why my grandfather fought against the Bulgarians in Bitola and participated in its liberation and then also in the Greek Civil War?Why did they from USSR came back to Macedonia and not Bulgaria?!Why nearly all refugees,hundreds of thousands CAME BACK HOME- as they said?

  • @robertmacedonia
    @robertmacedonia 15 лет назад

    Make a reference to the English language. How many countries are using it as the official language, so does that make them all English ? Have you read Plutarch, Arrian etc... They makle a clear distinction between the ancient Macedonians and the ancient Greeks. Think about the death of Alexander. Right after his death, the Greeks had been celebrating it in Greece. I mean, where is the logic in this argument of yours ?

  • @macedonian89
    @macedonian89 15 лет назад

    So you want to say that my ancestors fought against Bulgaria politically?! So according to you Bulgarians fought against Bulgaria?!
    And as I said my grandparents from my mother's side came back not in Kostur ( Kastoria ), but in Skopje, Macedonia. Why did they do that?! Why did not they got back in Bulgaria if they were Bulgarians?! Why nearly all the refugees from USSR came back in Macedonia? Who made them to do so? If they were not Macedonians why did they all came back to Macedonia?

    And do you know the people who live in Pakistan and speek similar language as the Macedonian [btw they are decendants form Alehander The Great :) ].
    So stop talking bullshit!

  • @robertmacedonia
    @robertmacedonia 15 лет назад

    And please do not start citing world historians, you should know that's your greatest weakness. The only reason some of them are still lying is the Greek money. I'll say this again - try reading Arrian, Plutarch, the ancient authors. That's where the answer to our debate is, waiting for us to take it. I will not continue commenting, since this could go on forever, without a final conclusion and agreement. I hope some day the politicians will take their hands of the History and leave it to the

  • @macedonian89

    You want to say that what is presented in this video is inaccurate and that those things never happened?! And you also say that at that time there were not Macedonians to be persecuted?!So who are those people in the video?! I come from my mother's side from there and they said that they were ETHNIC MACEDONIANS, and that is why they were terrorized by the Greeks.The title of the song "Postojam" means "I exist".That means that we, the Macedonians exist and the victims of these horros exist too.

  • @Daemian137
    @Daemian137 16 лет назад

    First, I don't offend you!
    Second, my languge is similar to the bulgarian, and to the serbian, and croatian. Do you know why!!!
    Have you heard of Cyril and Methodius!
    they were Macedonians from Solun (if you don't know where Solun is try google).
    They educated everywhere on the balkans, except in southern greece!
    You can see where were you 1000 years ago. From Athens down!!!!

  • @macedonian89
    @macedonian89 15 лет назад

    Hmmm... If you talk about the ancestors from my fathers's side they were bulgarian citizens from 1941 till the end of the occupation in 1944. If you talk about my mothers' side they were Greek citizens.. and loyal, one even participated in the Greek-Turkish war. They were until the terror reached culmination. by the way when it comes to history, i also have documents that prove I am right. So dont think that the Greek point of view is 100% true.

    When you say - "the Macedonians spoke Greek", I believe you mean the Greek dialect called "koine". I must say that that's the dialect that had been widely used in the ancient world. It had been the official language in many many countries, so does this make all of them Greek ? Even the Romans had been using the Greek language as an official language, so does this make them Greeks too ? This argument of yours is not very convincing...

  • @robertmacedonia
    @robertmacedonia 15 лет назад

    As first - you are not answering my questions, because you cannot. Second, it's widely known that all the Greeks considered the Macedonians "barbarians", and were not very happy that their destiny was in the hands of a half-Macedonian, half-Epirote man. Another thing, what would your Demosthenes think if he could see you now - defending the men that he used to spit on, the men he called "dirty barbarians" ? Come on man, face it - all the fame about the name issue is about

Furthermore, you cannot deny the refugees that the Greeks forced to move from Aegean Macedonia to Bulgaria in 1923. Only by reading the neutral historians we may know the truth.
