15 years later I've finally found this show. In 2001 Throwdown was my favorite band. Hellfest in Syracuse, NY. was THE Hardcore Fest. Getting smashed in the face for 15 minutes and seeing this band live was all that mattered at that time. Being front for this was fucking brutal. So....at around 16:30 in I decide to jump on stage and dive into the crowd. I tried once and failed, stepped back onto the stage and jumped offed again and rode the crowd for a few seconds. What's the point of all of this? It was the last time I ever did something that stupid. After I fell to the ground, someone landed on top of me, fracturing the 7th vertebrae of my spine. The doctor said 1 more centimeter and i'd be paralyzed. I wore a neck brace for 6 weeks. If you look close (16:30 mins in), you can see my dumbass jump and spin and fall. I've never seen this video until just now.
I remember the first time i saw throwdown at the chain reaction (2000, 2001) someone's clavicle got shattered by someone jumping ontop of him from the top of speaker. Rumor was that he died... but never found out. glad you recovered. Those were the days!
i remember seeing them live in my hometown and they didn't care about the audience at all, only their little "mafia" bros, and their music was a mockery of hardcore music
