I spent several years working on transmissions... lots of clips, internal, external... that was the best description of how to remove an external spring clip I have ever seen. You have great technique.
The clip removal tool is certainly the star of the show, but it's nice to have some other stuff included that is also useful. I wish the core holders were a little heavier, and I'm not sure why the pliers have modified jaws, but I like the rest of it.
Banggood may give a 3-9 day delivery time, or whatever delivery time, but an inquiry about late delivery will be met with a boilerplate message. There solution will be to ask you to wait 3 days. In the case of 3-9 day delivery, that is an additional waiting time of 33-100% of the original commitment. They’ll tell you they are sorry, but just wait double the time, okay? My opinion is that they actually deliver faster than sellers out of China on eBay and AliExpress. But they still will give you the runaround. They don’t care.
Thanks -- I've had this kit since I first started picking... even before I started this channel. I still use the pinning shoe, grooved followers, segmented followers, and clip remover. There's room for improvement, but I have yet to find superior replacements for those tools at any price.
Arrived today, 3 /17/17. I'm old so I remember when everything was 6-8 weeks shipping. No complaints. Something not mentioned is that the pliers are ground to a thin, flat jaw so they are useful.
Very detailed review. Great kit to have if you get into taking locks apart, and putting them back together, or modifying locks. I have my kit on order from BangGood. Great review. Helped me to decide to buy this kit, although I forgot to use the discount code. The code is easy to use, and will knock a few dollars off this kit.
Great review bud, very informative and well explained! I bought one of these kits a few months back and you're right, it's well worth it if only for a few of the tools. I use at least one tool out of it each time I gut a lock. Thanks for sharing LPL :)
I would never find out what this kit is used for, without your help, LPL. (Probably because I'm a locksmith serviceman, I pick locks mostly for money, not for fun :) ). Thank you.
Very well explained, thanks for the review :) I got this kit too and indeed its really a must have for euro locks disassembling, segmented follower is also useful when you have keys for both sides and you don't want to pick one open.
It's just I saw on a few other channels that some have had there money refunded on 1 order and another was lost. I did see 1 that did actually receive it though.
Absolutely awesome review, I got one a short time ago and haven't had it long enough to fairly judge it. But what I have used it for makes it a favorite for me. Happy Picking! !
Thanks. Been using this since before I started this channel. The pinning shoe/follower combination, the segmented followers, and the clip remover are all stars IMO.
Cool thanks LPL. I finally just ordered one using your code and got it for less than $20 and free shipping. I'm gonna order the picks you just review too I think. That seems to be a pretty good deal too. I may get them for my next giveaway.
I've been trying to find the clip removal tool I've seen you use in your other videos. I can't find one like it on most of the sites I use for buying material and I'm hoping to find a single clip remover. Last weekend I took a chunk out of the side of my thumb using bent angle needle nose pliers. It looked a lot worse than it really was because I have a lot of callus built up on my thumbs, but it still hurt and bled nonetheless. I may end up just getting this kit. I always buy a certain amount of stuff from any site because I like offsetting the shipping costs.
OK. Great review. However, on a way more important note, its been bugging me ever since I first stumbled upon your videos that your voice reminds me of someone really familiar. Just dawned on me that it's John Malkovich.
that was an excellent review on the huk kit. I'm sure very early this year you have a demo on them segment's as some other RUclips'rs were a little puzzled by that piece of kit ! loads of useful stuff for the price! I got mine for around £20 ( Chriss Dangerfield ukbk )
Thanks. I've used the segmented follower a couple times in videos on this channel. I had no idea what they were when I first got the kit... it was several months later that I had the "ah ha" moment!
well im not sure what the clip is called but i have two medeco cylinders. On one the clip is like the clip you just showed on this video that does not go all the way around and has a wide enough gap that you can use this took you are showing but the other medeco I have has a clip that clips all the way around and with both ends toughing (no gap) and each end has two little holes in it. im having the hardest time taking it off.
Somehow I forgot who I was watching for a second and when you were showing how the clip tool works and said "come on focus" I was expecting the "focus you FUCK" that AvE always says😂 must just be the similar filming styles
a great product, hope banggood treasures your experience and make some great things like this one ! why don't they start producing followers sets, and other special tools for lockpicking ?? until now they just copied some picks.... hope they are listening...
your coupon e51e40 is EXPIRED. When did you tape this??? Also, where can you get the "pinning tweezers"? I saw everything BUT these at Banggood. Thanks.

Nearly five years later and this seems to be a good start.

I agree about the clip remover. I'd buy the kit for that tool only. It's by far my most used tool from this kit.
Been over a month for me and still did not receive it. Look forward to using it. Thanks for the in depth video.

Did you get it yet?
@@jxsavior6631 I would hope he did by now.
I got one of these last month and I am very pleased with it. It periodically goes on sale for twenty four bucks.
I got mine, it take almost a month. Thanks LPL
I just bought it 2 weeks ago for a fairly good price ! Thanks for the explainations on how some of the tools works ! Now I need to find some locks !
Good luck with the kit... I think you will find that at least a few of the tools are well worth the price of admission!
I got this kit just for the c-clip remover and then said to myself, "Jeeez, I wonder what all this other stuff is for?" Thanks for the info!
Sold out! Darn. I guess that's the Lock Picking Lawyer-effect (same as when Bosnian Bill reviewed Mad Bob's Picks).
Cool. Glad people are taking advantage of the deal, but sorry you missed it. :-(
It was back in a day before the coupon expired. It arrived yesterday.
Hi Harry, Great kit, well explained and demonstrated - Locksmith recommended! Regards, Brian.

noobasaurusrex 19 I haven’t seen anything recently that looks like it, so I would say no.
@@lockpickinglawyer where can I find those pinning tweezers you use, I've looked everywhere?
@@christianfritz6333 I just got a good set from sparrows
@@christianfritz6333 they're sold on the Sparrows website :)
Great Kit LPL. I've had mine for quite a few years now and it has been very very useful. I highly recommend it. Keep up the great work. Nick.
Thanks for sharing your experiences with it.
Just bought this from BG today, and as 2/24/2017 they are still honoring the discount code you posted.
Arrived today, 3 /17/17. I'm old so I remember when everything was 6-8 weeks shipping. No complaints. Something not mentioned is that the pliers are ground to a thin, flat jaw so they are useful.
Just bought this one because of this review, hope it arrives ASAP so that I can give second opinion.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. There are definitely a few gems in there.
Oh and thanks for the tip on the dimple tension wrenches. I also have them and that was a great deal too.
+Bobby Keyz Great!
Hey Bobby I thought you didn’t like LPL? or was this before he wouldn’t pick your challenge lock?
I would never find out what this kit is used for, without your help, LPL. (Probably because I'm a locksmith serviceman, I pick locks mostly for money, not for fun :) ).
Thank you.
FYI the discount code still seems to work (as of today)
Very well explained, thanks for the review :) I got this kit too and indeed its really a must have for euro locks disassembling, segmented follower is also useful when you have keys for both sides and you don't want to pick one open.
Thanks. Good point about the segmented follower.
I'm kind of surprised you actually got it in the mail. I have been hearing that they have been having problems getting them out.
How so?
It's just I saw on a few other channels that some have had there money refunded on 1 order and another was lost. I did see 1 that did actually receive it though.
Interesting. They've been pretty good with my orders so I can't really speak to that other than to relay my experiences.
They've been great with all my orders.
I've had at least one problem per order. They will straighten it out usually.
Absolutely awesome review,

Good and honest review.
Thanks.
Great kit well explained
i think they could have fit in a pinning tray, but i still am going to get it at some time
just missed the 20% on bangood hopefully they will do it again
Could you do a vid showing how to use the smaller followers?
Did I miss it, or did he forget to review the pliers? They look like an unusual pair.
nice review and explanation as always!
Thanks.
What would be a good clip remover for the medeco clips?
Not sure what you mean by Medeco clips -- I've seen all kinds of clips on medeco locks.
well im not sure what the clip is called but i have two medeco cylinders. On one the clip is like the clip you just showed on this video that does not go all the way around and has a wide enough gap that you can use this took you are showing but the other medeco I have has a clip that clips all the way around and with both ends toughing (no gap) and each end has two little holes in it. im having the hardest time taking it off.
The one with two little holes needs snap ring pliers
Like this: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JNRR0Y/
You need a special tool for that. Any hardware store sells them. Ask for snap ring pliers.
Thank you For the information
Very good review, thanks!
+Peter M thank you.

How long did shipping take? every time find myself on bangood I always turn around because of the shipping times being so long.
If you want faster shipping, my recollection is that epacket is an option at extra cost.
Will the pining shoe work with 6 pin locks?
well xplaned man I am gonnu buy one of those kitts I need one and they are a good price nice review stiglocks..r
Thanks and good luck with it.

Whats the best lock that masterlock makes today?
the best Master lock is an American lock
Ha ha.

Yeah, I know. I'd guess that something got lost in translation.
