Your garden is wonderful and beautiful! Love seeing the potatoes grow in large pots, love your AMAZING Harvest. i LOVE YOUR VIDEO! Wow, you are so smart. I will have to try this! Thanks for all the extra tips!!!
like you said thats the right size bucket.allotment diary and that scottish lad use the same size and get the same effect.i have to try it thanks.....................peace
I love gardening, I just really let my plants go and they do good with potting soil and fertilizer. But last year I tried carrots in a raised bed. Incredible. This year I had some probs with cats making it a littler box. I helped them change their address. I just about gave up on them but they came back unreal, totally impressed with carrots and taters and maters!
Wow, nobody can top that much production in tubs, AMAZING!!! For you people that don't have tubs, you can find amazon cardboard boxes all over the place.. there's a guy on utube that grows them in boxes.
Love the snowman potatoes I get them sometimes. I think feeding them makes it much better but I have been doing lots of experiments to see if I can get better yields. This is a great yield well done.
I never missed one video of yours, the food you made for your family looks very delicious and healthy, you are blessed to have an extraordinary talent, thanks for sharing your life with us
That’s a fantastic harvest! I did notice (I could be mistaken) that the middle row of buckets hadn’t as many Potato’s. Possibly a double row, bit more water and feed through growing period next season. Every year you’ll learn more and improve the outcome of your harvests. All the best in your gardening endeavors 😊
That was so impressive .mine were also in buckets but I got about 5 pounds of tiny potatoes smaller than kiwi fruits .They are wonderful potato salad but we're gone so quickly
Wonderful Harvest. This spring in Florida I'm going to be growing my potatoes and quite a few other things I haven't had a garden since I have my spine injury but I think the bags of in the buckets would be what I would need to get a good harvest maybe 20 lb bag I can get a couple pounds of potatoes out of that would be wonderful. Have a lovely day God bless
Interesting ... I have just planted mine in the same containers....see how I go.. just note ..cant always hear you when you turn around... Thanks .. Rob in Aus
Great harvest! You need to build yourself a wooden frame with 1 inch mesh on the bottom, to sort your potatoes in. It's really tedious watching you slowly pick out every spud one by one.
I worked 12 years in fish and chip shops they give the sacks away free as they have to pay the council to take them away same with pickled onion jars and plastic food buckets. Also morrisons give away their plastic cut flower buckets
That’s so funny, I was literally just thinking where I could some free tubs from! That’s it I’m off to the local chippy 😂 thank you! That’s a great tip 😁
May I ask why they were in the ground 25 weeks 😜🤔 I am a newbie…I grew my first potatoes last year …but I thought most potatoes were 70-90 days in the ground .. If I thought they’d look like yours I’ll leave them there ALL WINTER ..LOL 😘
It’s a good question. Early potato varieties take around 12 weeks for the crop to mature and main crop can take anywhere from 18 -25. The later you harvest the bigger the tubers and the skin hardens so they store for longer 😁
THANK YOU SO MUCH !!💕 I had never heard of that before…but my eyes just GREW and my mouth was watering when I watched you turning over those bags 😍😋 I also had never heard of PEATLESS compost… I actually had to pause the video and rewind to listen again because I thought potatoes “preferred” lower pH 🤦♀️💕 Thank you again … I loved your harvest 🙏❤️🇨🇦
Hello! My rule of thumb is 1 seed potato per 10l of soil. This is a 50l container so I placed 3 seed potatoes in the bottom then 2 about half way up. I also just fill my containers to the top so there is no need to add any more soil through the growing period.
@@UrbanAllotmentWithLauksie Thank you, for your quick response to my question. I really appreciate it! 👍👍 I just started gardening a couple years ago, and can ONLY do it in containers, so I try to get as much info as possible about containers.
very good result, big potatoes
Sweet potatoes don't mind dry weather. Indeed, you can damage the tubers by overwatering very easily. So they might be an option for you.
Compliment for the garden and the harvest. Peace, love and harmony.
Wow, What a Fantastic harvest of Potatoes 🥔.I'm quite jealous 😉👍
That’s so awesome! Loved your happiness and how joyful this made you. 😊❤

well done amazing.
I think you missed a potato at 14:32. Follow your right hand. Looks like you push it away with the soil.
Wow, that's impressive 🤗🤗🤗
Great harvest. Did anyone ever tell you that you resemble Cameron Diaz when you smile.
Great harvest!
Rotate the position of the buckets too. So the middle ones get more sun.
Wow well done!
Brilliant!
Good natures to help farming to growing vegetables , fruits crops Need more foods to eat thanks.

I hope my harvest goes as well as yours. Just planted 22(25gal) bags with 4 seed potatoes in each. I’m kinda scared to see my harvest.
Great harvest!

Oh ya, good job sister..
Great hall what dirt or compose did you use and what fertilizer.
I'm from Australia
It is just general compost I got in bulk from a local farmer and I used fish, blood and bone and Vitax organic potato fertiliser
Nice
i just want to know from this harvest can you grow it again and again for years or grow it once after buy seeds again

Hi great harvest! What compost did you use? Home made or shop bought! Thanks. 👍🏻🥔💪 subbed! Very interesting accent sounds Eastern Europe with welsh.👍🏻
In the smaller bucket you said it was from a single potato, but you didn't say how many you started in the large container.

They are supposed to be stored in a cool dry place not stacked on each other.
What did you feed them? I have not gotten many large ones yet just tiny ones nd I did fertilize but obviously not right.😑
Good
If you do potatoes grown in dirt bags, should these bags be on the ground or do I have to put them on something?
They can be on the ground/grass/wood chips or even on a patio.
What soil did you use in your big pots?
Hello, I used local compost from a farm. It was something like £45 per tonne bag
Where is your allotment?
Am in Africa ghana and the sunshine is too hot how do l go about it. My name is Paa
Love love love that you show the whole harvesting but can you convert your kilos to pounds for us in the US?
Thank you! I never thought of that, I might just edit the title 😂 it’s 37kg = 81lbs 😁
✌️😎

Hello! They are 40l tubs 😁
Nice Taters!!
