I checked ur profile, ur a filipino and you have a nice animations but did u really worked with Vincent or any other staff in Teoi industry? If so, are you a freelancer or you're an official animator in toei?
@@vialacteadsg even tho im not an animator, you should still practice japanese since most people in Japan cannot understand or speak English or even if they know English they have a hard time using it

That last animation with the boot was definitely him! It was on his Twitter a few years ago. And yeah, Vincent is a monster when it comes to his animations. His sense of scale, understanding of 3d space and camera movement, and character and action animation go above and beyond so many other anime productions! Absolute treat to watch whenever he's on something!
Its been so long since I've been recommended one of your videos, even though ive been subscribed for years now. Its good to see your still making quality content.
Probably my favorite analysis of Vincent's work I've seen thus far. Would love to see you do more analysis on famous anime animators as you'll see where a lot of people like Vincent took inspiration from with their animation
This is a GREAT breakdown my guy!! So cool. I can tell you from a compositors side you guys are missing a few things that compers will spot in this process, but its super fascinating to see it from an animators point of view also! Keep up the good work brother! Love this channel! 🙏😎 also for sure Vincent is an absolute GANGSTA
Wow sir, It's so interesting to see you explain these stuffs. I get to learn so much more from your videoes. Vincent is such a truly great animator. Nowadays, he is literally known as "The God of Impact frames". You should break down the fight between Zoro and King . There he just crushed it . He animated most of the scenes in 1's and he tells character story through his impact frames. That's crazy😯😯.
Sadly Toei disrespected his work on a future episode, sad to see him go, hopefully toei will just let a man as talented like this do “whatever he wants” in the future, man is a BEAST
quick question but what do you mean by "artworking department"? there's things like background art which are done by an art department yes, but i think you might've confused the compositing (or photography) department with something else for some of the examples you showed? it's mainly because one or two of these cuts didn't exactly require a piece of background art in it. great video by the way, just wanted some clarity on that real quick.
By artworking department I am short hand referring to everything visual that comes after Genga and Douga. This can include color designs, BG art, coloring and compositing. I also use "artworked" as a verb, meaning to bring it from a rough animation to a fully rendered animation that you would see as the final result on tv.
Yes! You might need to adapt some of the instructions i give about keyboard shortcuts / functions so it would help to know your way around the software first.
Great video thank you!! Does anyone have any good recommendations or links for behind the scenes of anime action that shows artists using reference please? There are loads of videos showing breakdowns/layout etc but the actual early process of gathering references or filming themselves for an anime action sequence are few and far between.
Very cool and interesting video. I would like to know what you think about the drastic change in animating One Piece recently. The best example I can give is the Galay Impcat by Monkey D Garp: watch?v=1CyD0cr6k6w For me its way over the top and dont know if they rushed recently or intended this style :/
Toei animator here. The works he do are all keyframes. Us Inbetweeners just clean his work and rarely have an in-between
Thanks for the insight ☺️
