Billy and the Kids is Bill Kreutzmanns band (imagine Phil & Friends), featuring Billy Strings

Billy Strings has guested with Billy and the Kids several times including once along with Carlos Santana. You should check out Billy Strings at Red Rocks when he premiered Thunder, the lyrics of which were written by the late great Robert Hunter. Bill Kreutzmann gave the lyrics to Billy Strings to write the music for because he thought he would be the best person for the job. The result is amazing!

You should check out Billy Strings' covers of the Who's Join Together With The Band and Traffic's Dear Mr. Fantasy from that same Red Rocks concert. Those are two world class covers as well.

The entire concert is tops and I recommend you check it out. Billy Strings is the only non-core member of the band (RIP to sax player James Casey).
They bring in guest musicians who are all worth checking out in their own right, recently including Molly Tuttle, Daniel Danato, and Sierra Hull to name a few.

Just a guess, but I'd say Billy and The Kids is his Electric band. He also does a Bluegrass band with no Drummer. Good to see Mr. Kreutzmann back there on the kit. Quite a band, especially the Sax Master. Still haven't seen Billy Strings live, he is on the GOTTA SEE list for sure. And soon. Thanks Craig, good one.

I'm a fool too then. I had seen Billy Kreutzmann's group, The Tri-Chromes years ago, my bad on the guess.

I'm not sure any song means as much to me as this one.

Really nice. But still doesn't hold a candle to Jerry
