- Found this on a torrent. Apparently an unreleased Nine Inch Nails Song and Video. I've recently been told that the name is "It All Fades". My friend thinks its tapeworm, but I highly doubt it.

This song makes me feel like a million years have passed by and everyone I know and everything that mankind has ever accomplished is dust in the wind and I'm just a solitary consciousness hovering gently over the ocean.
That’s pretty spot on man

Well said.
That's peaceful 😌
Wow
Every few years I get an itch to hear this song. It takes me an hour to remember the title, and its worth it every time.
Same.
Put it in your favourites or good music playlist.
I love remembering it..
I come here often
nostalgia for a time I've never known
11 years and still don't know who the composer is. Kinda adds to the beauty of it.
13 years and you at least know it's not Trent, now ;)
www.reddit.com/r/nin/comments/x1qc94/i_created_it_all_fades_a_track_incorrectly/
Whether this is Trent Reznor or not, still a great melody
yes it is Beautiful
I want to say that this Is a NIN unreleased track because it's on the official NIN channel. It is beautiful.
@@ellamierrose1812 wait really? do you have a link pls
It totally have the blood of Trent all over the place
@@AmalekIsComing I think she’s mistaken and referring to this video ruclips.net/video/tpCgc1SsDps/видео.html
It’s not an official NIN youtube channel but it does look like one
I love that the identity of the creator of this is a mystery. Makes it feel oddly pure.
An old name, another identity.

Exactly.

It's all outside. Looks like memories of vacations spent traveling on the road, in plane, in the country side, at the beach. Memories of childhood, and the concept that they all will fade. Very depressing.
Bruce Black
I wouldn't say depressing, there is a certain beauty to it. However what I find to be extremely sad is the forgotten composer of this track (apparently this is not Reznor), they could be out there, somewhere, are they still alive? Who are/were they? What's their story? A similar idea to yours, and every good composer has a thought of there or an expression of themselves in a tune of theirs, so I wonder what the Composer was saying here :)
It reminds me of their 94 tour when they showed the movie in the middle of the concert with all the great melodic songs. I will never forget that, best concert ever saw.
This is just maddeningly beautiful. How could this not be Trent? If it isn't the artist needs to step forward and start making albums because I would like to hear more.
The Undefeated God of the Internet sincerely agree with that
Its the melody from tools pushit on the salival album played on piant and they added some nin like effects from the downward spiral and still
@@johnathanf.3869 I don't hear any similarity with pushit at all honestly
@@ToxicallyMasculinelol ruclips.net/video/ENZk1dntmeY/видео.html after 24 sec. mark you can hear how close it gets to it. Have to consider also the time of upload for both - pretty damn close.
I suspect its either a variation of it. OR OR OR **tinfoil hat** on a tapeworm leak (probably not)
to add bit further, in my search for the original composer/s I have also found a resemblence to Ludovico Einaudi - Primavera ruclips.net/video/qYEooPeyz5M/видео.html
of course, its not completly out of earth for compositions to have matching themes but Primavera could as well be inspiration for this one.
It's a original composition by remix.nin.com's user Dahak. It's called Aftermath.

This comment should be pinned!
I could have told you all that this wasn't Trent. It sounds absolutely nothing like him, whatsoever.
I don't think this is Trent but damn someone did a really good job creating something that sounds like him. Really immersive song.
this song always reminds me of my childhood... i miss all the happy days at the time and they were mostly happy times. man, i miss it soo much haha
indeed.
NIN is one of my favorite bands and I’ve never heard this song before, it just randomly popped up in my feed. This is beautiful.
Nvm I found the Reddit post, fuckin got me lol. It does sound really cool though
it has an akira yamaoka touch ....
something from the old silent hill series...
Yes... best game soundtracks ever made Silent Hill 2 !!!
+Tom Graham - Original Resident Evil 1 (not Director's Cut) Safe Room theme. Most beautifully eerie piece of music I've ever heard in a video game.
+Joe Kerr dude.. i just went and listened to that. holy fuck!! cheers brother!!
Tom Graham - I'm glad you enjoyed the listen. Every time I listen to it, it takes me to the Autumn season. A day where Halloween is just around the corner and the mornings are brisk but a lazy sun makes an appearance at about midday. There's just something so soothing about that comforting synth piano playing in unison with those haunting synth strings. Sheer beauty. Hey, speaking of...the Autumn Season has officially commenced in North America. Cheers back to you my friend.
Tom Graham - Eerie, with no intended purposes, just coincidentally happened to notice that I replied at the exact same time I did the night before.
Imagine how beautiful this would be with some orchestral strings joining in around the middle part. Thomas Newman or James Newton Howard need to get on that!
Also, anyone else think that if Trent HAD written and remixed this it would have worked well in Gone Girl?
maybe if they had done some kind of montage. seems a bit too melodic to have fit it in any of the existing scenes. the dialogue rarely stops in that film, so most of the tracks are very ambient.
Niles Graham with Ludivico
Really wish I knew for certain who made this so I could listen to their other stuff.
a project called tapeworm that never released an album but it was made up of
maynard james keenan from tool, trent reznor from nine inch nails and danny lohner
although this song has a similar melody to Pushit (live) from tools salival
Canadian guy produced this on Jingle bells and fruity loops, he is in the video, all filmed in CANADA, Bali, and VOetnam
Still a great song after 14 years of hearing it for the first time. Thank you.
Awesome!!!!!! It sounds great. It sounds like it could have been on " The Downward Spiral," or "The Fragile."
sounds more “with teeth” to me, maybe could’ve been a continuation of “right where it belongs”
I feel like this will be death for me and trying to cross over.
Lindsey Connelly crossover to black? when you realize the lights are a freight train coming your way? 😂
+CognizantxNight. Your comment stood out,and that was before the Leonard Cohen verse.
Very much appreciated...
May you find and feel peace: )
Edgy
Nope. It’s all just black and silent.
I want my son to play this song at my funeral when I give this planet the middle finger in the air and a goodbye.
Sod that. I had it at my wedding...
Its one of my funeral song choices, but there are so many!i don't care if no one likes them.I'm the dead one.
flakyfi it's beautiful wedding song
I always come back to this..
I was 11 years old, I’m now 19
And all I want is for them to be Okay in the end.
unrealesednin is so right this is not by me at all. I take no credit. Found it in a bathroom in a NIN concert on a usb drive. Ran with it and made it a remix. Give me no credit. The author is still unknown. Is it Trent? Sounds like trent to me.
I don't care who did this the song and video together are FU
Zero-Sum (Aftermath mix) - Dahak
2024 and I still come to this cut….
How can this be unreleased? Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.
on such a dark night this song keeps me alive..... just keep breathing.
I like this comment.
This is truly beautiful and I have converted it to a mp3 and put it on repeat. Right up there with "A warm place"!
I cant get enough of this song
This song and video remind me of my youthful happiness, innocence. It pains me to watch this and realize that I have forgotten how to just look at things in awe.
i can get lost in this piece of art everytime, glad i discovered it, so emotional , awesome dont care if its reznor or not its still awesome
one of the most beautiful songs in existence
finding beauty in despite of despair is how this feels to me,,, greatness.
when there is no gravy on the mash potatoes
This is beautiful...and painful at the same time...really grabs the emotions one is feeling at the time regardless of what it may be.
Shit, I am crying ...
It takes me back to early childhood.. very dark, haunting and now a memory; the song not my childhood.
Timeless misery.
Anyone know the true artist?
Nice melody and it works well with the images whoever created this...
i met trent once and asked him about tapeworm. he said the material they put out wasn't up to his standards and they agreed to not release it. side note: i asked him if he was cool with Ogre and he said he was. that surprised me, i always thought they must have beef because i couldn't see why they didn't collaborate.
The 'Unreleased' songs (That constantly appear) were made by a mixture of Trent, Tapeworm and a couple other bands I can't remember... Basically, they all got together and started a 'jamming band'. None of their work was said to be 'Published' as such. Though, (As legend has it -- if I can say that) all the songs they actually fully completed, made it onto the internet. Though, all those songs are very underground and unheard.
This song reminds me of my life changing experience I felt on the road to Albuquerque... alone... after leaving The Love of my life Sarah Marie and My youngest son Sebastian in California. The uncertainty I felt the Loneliest and Saddest most insecure feeling and Empty broken heart I don't know why I left but I Loved Her so much I miss her so much... Yet this song is the best description of my feelings at that time when I was just thinking that I had no hope yet there was a light at the end of the tunnel... I think that light is The one I only get to see when I turn around and Look back at where I left from...
beauty and despair melded together
A STORY OF LIFE, AND EVERYTHING THAT COMES AFTER, AND ALL THOSE LEFT BEHIND. THIS SONG SYMBOLIZES THE LOSS OF A VERY VERY CLOSE PERSON. REGARD IT SUCH, BECAUSE IT DESERVES PEACE.
regardless of who really made this, it's a beautiful piece.
Who composed this??? Please compose more! I beg you.
Trent Reznor. Nine Inch Nails.
Some may have heard of him.
These a remixes by a number of people on nin.com/remix. Non Sequitur is one of them.
doesnt sound like trent at all
It is like a Reznor produced Thomas Newman piece...
Its beautiful
Nice... Love NIN. Since 1993. Junior in High School. A ROCKER Thru and Thru... Love it
The entire product is hypnotizing. Love it.
This sounds like a silent Hill soundtrack
Not really. Go back and compare, it's too clean and lacks that raw edge. What it is not is a NIN song.
@dossod I thought the same thing
its songs like these that make you realize trents really passionate about his music
It all fades & it all clarifies all at once....indeed.
Sounds very NIN influenced no doubt. That piano screams Trent no doubt, as do the synthetics. It's possible it's a Tapeworm song, I wouldn't be surprised. Of all of Trent's music that I've found and heard, this is one that I've never come across.
On that note, if it is a Trent Reznor song, kudos on discovering it ;)
this is amazing..the song an video go so beautifully together,..thank you!!
What beauty is this song... wow... I love this
brillant song reznor just keeps geting better
Reminds me of the aftermath of my dad's passing.
Or off the "All it could have been" album, which is apparently quite hard to get a hold of.
It sounds like something that he would have made probably extremely lately like around Ghosts. It also has the kind of once and a long time profound notes that is present a few times throughout Ghosts.
actually yeah, it does sound like NIN. he made this about the same time as "And All That Could Have Been...". This piece is actually just a transition/segue between two actual songs.
This sounds like it's lost between The Fragile and With_Teeth.
That chill in the background is giving me shivers
Looks and Sounds of How It Would Be When The Spirit Leaves The Body !
I wish this was longer...
Who ever said in stone this song was about the actual death of a human life? What if it is about a single moment passing? Just one moment in time. There are several. This video breaks up those moments and redefines time as most people in this world live it...in the linear light.
Sorry, but this is not a Trent Reznor Song. It hasn't even a touch of Trents usual melody structures
it is a Trent Reznor song actually, just a remixed version of it, original song is aftermath from the quake 1 soundtrack
it's more of a mashup than a remix (the piano is from somewhere else). Quake soundtrack was pretty badass, I bought the game just for the music (like another halo), still listen to the opening track all the time
Violence Machine Aftermath sounds nothing like this
Christian the Wizard I do believe you are correct...Aftermath/remixes are called that for a reason! To be honest i don't really care that much as it is such a beautiful song in it's own right'
ME LOVE YOU LONG TIME 3 years late lmfao ruclips.net/video/tpCgc1SsDps/видео.html but here you go
i think i have never listened to a song whose video represents so much what the audio expresses, if i only listened to the audio of this video i would imagine the same images that are shown, it's perfectly done
the acceptance of Death, of a dying person.
not so sure this is Reznors piece. its beautiful never the less
It's missing something to be Trent I can't put my finger on it. But it's something I'm going to listen to from know on. It is music I like, that's what matters.
@LeviathanoftheDanube your right, it is an unreleased song from that exact album
Actually, this song sounds like a near replica of a remix done called "The Aftermath", which would blow away anyones mind to listen to. It is on the nin official site in the remix area.
There is so much symbolism in this video. I love this song.
Great call on the true detective comment. Perfect song for that series...which wasn't nearly long enough
I want to put this song on repeat. I showed it to my friend who didn't like it just because it didn't have lyrics, but I think that lyrics would have ruined the song.
the 'bassline' of this reminds me of tools 'intention' riff at 4:00...it could be a tapeworm project taken to the next step.. who knows
feels like my current life situation and that is the day that all hope feels so far. I'm losing all
Reminds me of a silent hill song love it
I don't really relate this to nin, but I would listen to this for hours
+DreamerX333 I get a very Still vibe off it.
I actually don’t want to commit suicide after hearing this eargasm
@KedViper Sounds much more like the Still era to me. Look up "Adrift and at Peace", "Gone, Still", "The Persistence of Loss", and "Leaving Hope". It's much more the style of those songs than it is of Ghosts.
o guys, this IS NIN, yes, and to all those out there thinking it is NOT NIN go actually do some research, yes it is unreleased, and it happens to be the now "fabled" disc two of the still side of "And all that could have been"
Thanks for making this clear ( and bringin this track to my iPod ;))
@GenineM definitely agree on the "beautiful and haunting" part.
Sounds very cool. If it isn't Trent, then it is someone who is OBVIOUSLY heavily influended by him.
Nice work. Wish it went somewhere more, but that just puts it in line with must of the "Ghosts" ep.
Deep! Love the name, too. Kulkulcan was the Mayan version of ol' Quetz, extra aside superpflous fact bonus
@Rane909 tell me more about this "fabled" disc two. I bought the two disc collectors edition the first disc having all live shit and the second having another 9 tracks of various new songs with different/studio versions of older tracks plus some new ones so I thought it may be "hidden" but is no where on there. Where the hell did this song come from? Why does it have no title? Irritating! : ) BTW disc 2 is amazing, makes me cry almost everytime...
@Picoguns I love how easily you put how I feel.. You're good.
„The sound comes on and it all fades“
yes-yes-yes. i absolutely agree. this piece of music just SO sounds like reznor. i can't hardly believe i just found this. it's already been uploaded more then THREE years ago. what the fuck?! now i am happy. this is beyond words.
The video created for Beautiful nightmare actually moved me to tears. Lol I am in a delicte place. It was nice though.
The story about composer(you) and trying to impress the girl from art school was sad, how she did not like this and you? The song itself is like the rejection you have got from that girl, kinda relatable.
It Begins.....
It sounds like the best of me has passed and what I'm left with is loss.
Where's the video itself from? I like the style. Doesn't look like one of NiN's videos, at least none that I could find look like it.
This video and song is like tje green mile, except somewhere there is such a beautiful silence inthe midst of so much discomfort, the end is just the begging, the river Styx has a theme to it.
this song would have been the perfect ending to 'all that could have been - still'
it just fits right in that album, especially as an ending piece.
this is definitely Trent's work. it's as if he even intentionally didn't release it on the album, but left it to be found.
It's the recollection of a US service member who was KIA. These are his last thoughts, images. The soldiers face appears at 2:50. Shortly after, you can see the carpet bombing like waves crashing. Interesting and very well done.
never seen it that way .intresting,ty
The music you hear once you arrive in heaven
On the ninremix website there's quite a lot of amazing creations. It maybe comes from there. I feel a connection with NIN sound, but I'm not sure.
Beautiful.
