I’m so impressed with his acting in this one. Ever since Daechwita. No wonder he got sent scripts afterwards. 😢

Everyone keeps talking about his acting (which, yes, so right) but every time I see him interacting with the director I think about how much I'd like to direct him. He just takes direction beautifully. Checks that he understands, looks for clarification, takes notes really well.
I think they probably all do, BTS is so team-focused and everyone loves working with them. It just really struck me this time, watching him filming. The way he takes direction - even if he came in unsure about his acting, a good director could absolutely get him to this place.
I don't direct for film, just audio, but working with actors is a thing I do. The ones who take direction well make it so fun and we create beautiful things together - it's not like I just tell them what to do, it's a partnership. He would be such a joy to work with. I didn't know how much I wanted this until now 😂

Suga will be on The Jimmy Fallon show tonight Monday May the 1st. Interview and Performance. Did you see Jimmy Fallon's promo for tonight. He is in the green room getting coffee. So there is the choice between cream and Suga plainly written on the canisters. Jimmy stirs in Suga. Inside Jimmy's coffee cup is a cream design of Suga's face. Guess who days hello to Jimmy from inside his coffee cup? You guessed it. Suga! So funny!

Your comments about the comfortable room he's laying in (on the couch) are on point, because numbness for the time that you're stuck in it, your mind may NEED to numb itself, to numb your conscious reliving of it each day, to stop us from thinking about traumatic events constantly bc you can't bear the pain of it every day. So in order to survive & keep going, a person's subconscious holds back, contains & numbs the pain to an extent, for a TIME. But it can not hold it in forever.
The breaks from the pain allow a person to function on some level.but eventually, when you're strong enough that the inner self knows you can now handle it better & are ready to confront the pain, process & deal with it & try to let go of it fully, THEN you'll find yourself grieving thngs that happened long ago that you thought you'd been over but in fact you never did heal from it.
This iswhy when you're doing better in your life (than maybe EVER before) suddenly the trauma is thought of & experienced, grieved, felt again.
The reason WHY we need to do this eventually is; when you're stuck in that NUMB place, you ALSO have been living with all the other emotions NUMBED down too, you can't feel other emotions fully either and you NEED your happy feelings too very much. The numbness of emotions happens so slowly to a person (especially if the trauma was continual throughout childhood or maybe in a long marriage) that you don't even realize it you just think you fight depression all the time. But one day you realize you don't recognize yourself anymore, you remember how joyful you once could feel & see that a BIG part of you has been caged due to trauma. You NEED that PART of yourself to FEEL your life, all the GOOD feelings fully so you can be happy in life AND to balance out the rough stuff in life.
This part of a person who's depressed from trauma, this missing part of themselves (their FULL ability to feel al of their emotions) is what makes it hard for someone with clinical depression to see WHY they should keep living and fight for their own mental health, because they can't feel any happy inside when affected like this. ,If you can't feel your HAPPY at times, you don't have the necessary ingredient that allows a person to deal with all the up & downs of life. Most depressed people CAN NOT FEEL normally or fully their positive emotions, bc they're all NUMBED down & it's so important to grasp that so we can understand this is why it's SO hard for them to fight for their own lives.
They usually need help to recover from the numbness, therapy, group sessions & some need antidepressants to help their brain's chemistry kick in so they can begin ro return to feeling EVERYTHING more notmally. Then it helps them be motivated to save themselves and recover, get better, and learn better coping mechanisms now that they are olderand can do that.

@@Haha-bl3sh You'revery welcome, Iwrite commentslike that one toelpthose who are affected maybe begin to undestand WHY it's so tough for them to just feel happy, even when things are going great in their lives, even when they think they SHOULD be feeling happy.
Depression does not always look like someone who is crying constantly or withdrawn or unable to function. There ARE a percentage of cases where that's what it will look like, but a more common version of chronic depression, usually low grade, is the emotionally blunted, numbed down version of a survivor of too much drama/trauma/horrible events who has HAD tto learn to block off their thoughts, memories, feelings attached to their trauma every day just so they COULD keep going on, keep getting up & going to school or work, keep taking care of their home, their chldren, or parents
and/or themseles every day.Alot of su$%ide happens and the friends/family never even knew the person was depressed or was holdingin so much pain because they became so good at acting like they were ok, and because they are notoriously unwilling to tell others about their pain, to seek some comfort or understanding because unfortunately NO ONE ever gave them those things, or they faced negative consequences/ reaction if they EVER showed any weakness to those messed up people who have scarred them.
Alot of the time though, it's not due to abuse, neglect or any failing of a parent or guardian that damage wasdone to a person. It can happen due to things beyond anyone's control; like the death of a parent/s or a sibling while a person is young or a kid can get molested by a cousin, uncle, a neighbor or an older sibling's friends,a babysitter.
Parents need to educate their kids, starting very young that their bodies are THEIRS and NO ONE s a;lowed to touch certain areas at all. Parents need to tell their kids to TELL them (the parents) if ANYONE tries to (or does) anything inappropriate & reassure them that they should NOT EVER believe anyone's threats of harming the child or their family if they do tell their parents. A lot of kids are threatened into keeping these secrets leading to their repearedly being molested.
Another way trauma can be done is by seeing very traumatic things like a car wreck victim in awful shape.or violent acts done to others. Kids in a home with do,estic violence are traumatized everytime itvhappens, the verbal assaults too take a hheavy toll. If there's no clearly wacky family dynamics going on that people are aware of, others can think a child is fine because kids are so good at acting like nothing happened. But as I noted; they are being hurt by seeing it, hearing it & feeling all the FEAR, insecurity & sorrow all that induces. Eventually the trauma & the pain needs to come out, it stresses the human body tohold in pain indefinitely, the heart needs to be set free to feel again.

I’m happy someone commented about the set choice and that you brought it up; I had thought and wondered about it on my second watch and immediately realized it’s the comfort of the known, however painful it is, instead of the discomfort of the unknown, of the facing of trauma. Very happy someone said it out loud and that it wasn’t just me lol

I'm sure Suga was hoping to reach people just like yourself (who may not have realized yet the pain they're holding in or the way tramatic things can be still affecting us badly for a long time afterwards) with this song. Even when we thought we were fine & had dealt with the past & moved on, alot of the time we never really did, we just had to shove it down deep & keep going. It seems that's what Suga has gone through, fighting his amygdala & the fear it'll store in us, all the ways it can damage us inside.
It happens so slowly, the changes trauma can do to a person, that often people don't even realize anything's happened to them, or that they've been changed, or how numbed down their emotions are, how much of themselves they're holding in to keep that pain contained.
Once you're at a stronger mental place in your life (for many that'll mean when they're older & not still a child or teen) then all of you, your heart & brain will know when it's time for you to acknowledge some things, to fully feel how it makes (& made) you feel & then process the events, release & let go of the pain so you can be free of it, move forward, able to feel all of your joy from then on.

So you know how he keeps talking about pill poppers in Daechwita & the new album? What if it’s his August D persona talking to him? Like mocking the younger Yoongi who might’ve taken pills for his injury, etc.

    • @KathyHussey063
      @KathyHussey063 Год назад +1

I think no doubt Yoongi has had to take pain pills many times throughout his life, with his shoulder injury, car weck issues, shoulder surgery too, and all the performing they didwith him injured many times....but the way he downs the "pill poppers" I think it send a clear message that he doesn't think it's cool or a good thing for people to rely on or be addicted to meds or illegal drugs, or to be popping them for fun or something.
I'm sure he's had to fight himself to make sure that they did not become a problem for him, after all the painful things he's sufferred through. Anyone who has had to take them due to surgery, injuries etc., will tell you, it'd be so easy to get hooked on them. It can happen to anyone, which is why youngsters should not EVER mess with them, seriously, bc it does not take long to find themselves hooked on them and then life beomes a hell of physical torment facing withdrawal symptoms every day,it ruins life and the pain it causes a person is immeasureable.
So I think Suga downs it because he has likely seen or known of people who do abuse pills and he knows it destroys a person's natural personality and life usually if they get hooked on anything.. It's a miserable existence.
