I believe this is 100% real...the thing is, it's NOT bad. It's just NOT perfect either. Mariah Carey has the singing style of someone who, on a good day can do a lot of interesting things with her voice. Sometimes it's a hit and sometimes it's a miss. In the studio, she can screw up but do it over, but in a live performance, she can't do it over, which is probably why she has all these dubbed performances. I wonder if other singers that are known for having amazing voices have done this? It would be interesting if Whitney or Aretha have videos like this...but I kinda doubt it. 🤔
