you also forgot to mention that the rhythm mini-game is a pain in the ass to do if you're playing it on PS2 or Xbox on an HDTV as the input lag makes it insanely hard to hit the buttons correctly(basically CRT TVs have a much higher refresh rate then HDTVs which is where the lag comes in).
Personally I would've put FreeFall very high on the list because it takes WAY too fucking long to fly to the destination and it's really tricky to turn the plane at just the right angle to be able to catch up with the enemy plane(at least it was on the PC version) and if you fuck up it's a LONG process to try again, one time I caught up to the plane and killed everyone inside but accidentally landed on the wrong airstrip and when I tried to take off to fly to the correct one I accidentally blew the plane up and I almost threw my keyboard in frustration, that mission was so bad it made not want to play the game again for a very long time.
1:30:00 CJ kills Pulaski because he had finally outlived his usefulness to the cops and they were going to bury him in that unmarked grave too, so he no longer had anything to lose by fighting back, especially as Toreno was protecting the imprisoned Sweet now and held far greater power than Tenpenny ever could.
Not to mention, Pulaski being a total asshole the entire game who was completely oblivious to how Tenpenny was just going to either murder him or use him as a fall guy for when C.R.A.S.H. would be brought down for corruption charges just made it all the more cathartic for CJ to drive that foot into his fat face.
Yeah, I mean, "That grave is big enough for two" and "See you in the next life, CJ" are quite explicit lines. CJ is just defending himself at that point.
Which then opens up another question. Why did CJ stay to meet Tenpenny and Pulaski in the first place? The professional talks about it in his "top 5 dumbest things CJ has ever done" video.
@@thebananagamer56toreno might be more powerful than crash, but that doesn't mean being friendly towards crash has it's own benefits. cj tried to behave till the mission high noon in which he had to start defending himself
@@konuralpyldzkan1495 I guess, but why would CJ stay at the drop off? Tenpenny never told him to stay, at least to my memory. He should've just left the package and leave.

32:48 THANK YOU. My god every time I hear someone say how hard Wrong Side of the Tracks is I just think, "were we playing the same game?" I failed that mission maybe once or twice when I was a kid, and never again.
Rockstar changed some missions after the PS2 release. Of the top of my head "Life is a beach" and "Supply lines" had their difficulty lowered. For the former they reduced the target score from 4000 to 2500 and in the later, the plane uses way less fuel. So if you played San Andreas on PS2 first and remember these missions as being very hard, you're right. ;)
About Supply Lines, I read somewhere that the mission is bugged too on PS2 where the fuel would still run out even if you stay idle Screw that mission tho, I don't know how the hell I passed that
@@casualvanilla And actually there's more than one version with some or all the fixes applied, as long as these were manufactured after the v1.0 discs. I think the original Trilogy box set (2006) contains an updated version of the game too.
34:42 checking the first ambulance is actually the spawn trigger for the objective ambulance. Once you check the first ambulance, one of the two remaining ones has their occupants replaced with the gangsters you're looking for, so it is completely impossible to get it on your first try. Also, the gangsters that are spawned in don't drive. If you check your map a couple times, the stationary ambulance is always the one you're looking for
@@tyelerhiggins300 Knowing speedrun tricks makes many mission much more enjoyable or at least less tedious, those missions could have been placed higher if he knew those tricks
But the grade is for regular play through. Shouldn't have to know a obscure speedrun trick to make it not suck. It's like saying because you can skip a bosswith a glitch that they should be at the bottom of the list of how hard they are. Like no we are grading them on regular play that any regular person could find without looking it up. Like if a boss has a glitched spot that you could easily find normally then yea you can judge on that but if it's some obscure trick then no it shouldn't be considered in the grade.
The saddest thing about "Fish in a Barrel", is that it was going to be a proper mission where you had to protect Ran Fa Li from mafia members whilst he played Golf. If i'm not mistaken, "King on Exile" was part of mission string, where the other mission in it, had you travel back to LS, to save Cesar and Kendl from Ballas and the Police at the observatory. Wish someone remakes these missions.
Fun fact; the mission "Body Harvest" is likely named in reference to an N64 game of the same name, also made by Rockstar. It was an open world, time traveling, sci-fi action game where you were fighting off an alien bug invasion. Kinda neat to see it mentioned in some way back in the day.
I noticed that. I'm also kind of annoyed that Rockstar didn't do a next gen sequel to Body Harvest. That game was great but hampered by the N64 hardware. A Body Harvest game on the PS2/XBOX/GC would have been so cool
Body Harvest Moon sounds like a cool concept. Someone should make that into a game where you kill your wife and then have to hide her Body from the Police.
1:30:20 CJ isn't afraid to kill Pulaski anymore because Tenpenny and Co. can't hold Sweet's safety in prison over CJ. Also, y'know, Pulaski basically being set up to execute Carl in the mission and antagonizing him all along the chase might've just enraged Carl enough to not care.
a few interesting tidbits about some missions here: the mission customs fast track (the third garage mission): it is ALWAYS the third container no matter what you do or which order you take the containers off the ship and it is annoying. wrong side of the tracks: it is difficult for us as children or those that don't understand at all NOT to stick too close to the train, otherwise it is fairly simple to beat. intensive care: the mafia are NEVER in the first ambulance but can be in the second one, you can find out which one is the mafia ambulance because it stays entirely still while the real ambulance still moves. wu zi mu: you can bring literally anything that is a technically a car, even a tanker truck and race with it, which can make it an actual interesting challenge because a fast car will just leave those amateurs in the dust. cop wheels: for some strange reason, you cannot steal police bikes before the mission to use for the mission, you HAVE to use those four specific bikes to put them on the truck specifically. los sepulcros: you don't actually fail the mission immediately if kane manages to get into a vehicle, you can chase him down until they get back to "safe" territory. ice cold killa: you can do a lot with jizzy's car I imagine, you can do nothing, you can pop some or all of its tires, you can destroy the car and jizzy steals a pizza moped instead, you can stick a satchel charge or c4 on the car, among other things. air raid: for some reason, if you are on top of your game by shooting all the rc planes on time, the planes never change direction or tactics at all, but if you do not so well, the planes then decide to switch tactics and send planes from different directions. sweet & kendl: if you struggle with the ballas car or die or lose your homies too easily, you can get into a car instead if the opportunity presents itself, you just need to remember to follow sweet specifically during the first part, and ryder specifically during the second part, because it doesn't put them on the map since it wants you to get back on your bicycle, but you don't have to. supply lines: I like it more than other people, maybe because I played it on pc, but the fuel apparently mattered on the ps2 version or something like that, some people say it ran out of fuel way too easily or something, I dunno. but it is fun if you know what you are doing. tip: don't constantly hold the accelerate key, just let it glide unless you need to go higher, no need to waste fuel like that. home invasion: if on pc, good luck because you need to spam tap the move forward key, otherwise you move too fast by holding it down. if you get at least three of the crates and you have waken up the vietnam veteran, ryder actually won't leave you because you technically have enough crates to deliver to the storage place. breaking the bank at caligula's: that parachute jump is difficult, but apparently the jump itself has some weird laws of physics around it, since you can just not pull the parachute at all and instead of quickly falling to your death, you weirdly fly forward very quickly and then you can just somehow land on the roof without pulling the parachute, and you will be fine. just some things I find interesting personally, but gta san andreas has plenty more in it than just that. I miss these 3D gta games where you can have over the top and cinematic scripted missions, but at the same time have missions more open ended and you are pretty free to do things how you want in which order you want. it's just a shame the later games scrapped the non linear missions for the overly scripted stuff, but that is just me. as for this game, you sure can have a lot of fun in the missions alone, that doesn't even include the world itself and the optional stuff like the casino heist would be technically which is a shame. but you made a great video with ranking all the missions, even if I wouldn't put some in the same place as you would, but it is fun to know opinions of others nonetheless.
For Home Invasion, there is a "walk" control on PC you can use to move silently. It makes the mission basically impossible to fail. Crouching also works, though pushing doors open will make noise.
For Home Invasion you can kill the guy with a Sniper rifle and he won't wake up... it has to be a Sniper rifle specifically, any other weapon being fired will wake him up.
for breaking the bank at caligula's the parachute itself got a physics change in the game's code but only for the mission specifically, so if you keep the parachute and jump out of the helicopter from the highest point, you can travel really really far just diving forwards, and you won't take any fall damage when diving if you don't pull the parachute
I've only ever played on PC, and don't remember having problems on home invasion. I move while crouching to get to the crates, and once CJ picks them up, I walk while holding alt. Maybe because I've only played with silent patch for the most part, but I don't think I've had problems even before using the patch.
4:43 Fun fact: In the "Snail Trail" mission, you can skip the entire drive sequence from San Fiero to Los Santos if you catch the train before it leaves. After that, just press W and boom, you're in Los Santos. In the same way you can get back to San Fierro after completing the mission.
1:19:06 The "distinct differences" in the chips are sunglasses and a "white stick" (a cane). They weren't mistakes, the mafia is directly dissing Woozie for being blind.
The reason why Sweet's Girl is inconsistent is because there's a bug with enemies' accuracy. From what I could find about it, if you use a car to get there, their accuracy doesn't "reset" when you exit the car so they'll shoot at you with the same accuracy as they would have if you had still been in the car, i.e. close to 100%. If you get there on foot or with a bicycle, they'll miss most shots as enemies usually do in this game. The same thing happens in A Home In The Hills, and I think it also happens in The Da Nang Thang if you exit the water and get a car to go stock up on weapons before climbing on the boat. Not 100% sure on that.
1:30:25 So, by this point in the game, Tenpenny's leverage has gone from framing him for the murder of Pendlebury to essentially holding Sweet hostage. But with Toreno looking out for Sweet for his own ends, that leverage is gone. Regardless of what he thinks, Tenpenny has nothing. Carl doesn't have a reason to not take out Pulaski anymore.
I love how a quarter of the game's worst missions were consisting of mostly driving a long distance to point B, do something mundane and then complete the mission either in the middle of nowhere or a long distance from the next mission.
Photo opportunity comes to mind. Remember when I first played sa I got all the way to that mission, and kept failing bc of how long the drive was and I kept destroying caesers car. Still one of the most tedious missions in gta history imo, up there with “scouting the port” in V.
@notimportant3737 I swear it is the worst mission like in a camera zoomed in like I forget there are more people so I'm just taking a picture of Ryder again and again

I remember this one time playing Vertical Bird on the PC and "Free Bird" just start playing in the radio. Not gonna lie, having that solo when you are dogfighting in the air is just nuts! Im excited to see your tier list for the two previous GTA's, since those are my favorites!!

I do agree that Ryder is *currently* a pretty forgettable mission but at the time showcasing the level of in game customization in an open world game was pretty memorable.
but it's worth remarking that if you intentionally fail Ryder at the first try (blow his car at the start, for example), in the second try you'll be able to skip almost-minute-long cutscene about "how important is to eat" after CJ leaves barbershop.
13:49 no lie, I was once on I-12 (runs from New Orleans to Baton Rouge, about 90 miles) and there were no fewer than 4 crashes that slowed traffic in that span… 🤦♂️
14:20 actually you can steal the van. If you recruit a homie you can get your homie into the van and shoot him from a distance and then drive the van away.
It's always weird watching rankings from people who don't keep up with the mp community or speedruns or anything. Such a different perspective It's kinda refreshing
Same, there were things he brought up in multiple missions where I was like “well if you just did the speed run strat it’s way easier” but it’s cool to see casual players these days
25:20 You need to fly the plane High so you don’t get targeted by the anti- aircraft missiles. You parachute down to avoid them, because they’re only searching for planes via heat (engines). I played this game 19 years ago and remember that.
The first mission is actually called "in the beginning", not introduction, you can see the name if you get some money, buy a safehouse and then save and load the game. Not many people know about that.
Want to add a little tip: to get shit load of money in the beginning, whack the dealers. They have cash and a gun, which comes in handy at the beginning of the game
i remember when i was little and when i got to the cesar vialpando mission and i thought it was the end of the game cause i had no idea how to control the hydraulics
Thank you for not using footage of the godawful Definitive Edition. Sick of seeing cool GTA videos that use footage of that mess, DE just looks plain awful, the originals still look great to this day to me. Love your channel man, keep it up!
Yes the originals... The ones that got delisted on DE's release. The ones that you can only play by owning the delisted versions prior, tracking down original hardware, or piracy. It's kinda hard/expensive to obtain the originals
Incredible you mentioned the glitch in Madd Dogg. I remember that happening the first time I played through the game and to this day, never understood what had happened or why it softlocked my game. So nice to have closure after all these years
1:38:53 - My favorite part of stowaway is the Mission Complete sequence, as CJ jumps out of the plane, the plane explodes, with CJ and exploding plane in the background, the Mission complete-jingle plays
Considering I have only been getting my GTA: SA content from a certain speedrunner, it was actually quite surprising to hear you describe the events from some of these missions. I have never seen some of the missions play out casually like the boat chase with Ryder or getting chased with the Combine Harvester. I felt pretty great being able to identify most of these missions from the intro cutscenes before the text came up. Great video and good choice of missions!
"What's the second sentence of that line" "Rolling heights Balla Country. I ain't represent the Grove in five years, but the Balla's won't give a shit." Keep in mind I haven't touched the game in a year and I haven't done a full playthrough of it since my initial one 4-5 years ago
I agree with you about Sweet, from the Homecoming mission. I always liked the mission though because it's a bittersweet "homecoming" back to your home, after so much time away
If there's any other GTA game I'd like to see ranked like this it's Vice City. Partly for the nostalgia factor as it was my first GTA experience, but also cause that's one I remember feeling like the progression of lowest point to running the city felt the smoothest.
I played it when it released and still to this day whenever I hear the song "Hollywood Swingin'" I start tapping my fingers on imaginary keys to dance.
That's the first sponsor ever after so long of content making and congrats for that dude, i don't have much to say about missions even in my fav GTA game, IV, but maybe a top 10 i could manage, let's see: That one mission where you infiltrate the military and steal the jet pack The mission where you plant bombs at the dam The mission where you have to escape a slaughterhouse with Ken Rosenberg The final mission is always a banger The mission with the shootout followed by a chase where you're on a bike with a truck on your tail Robbing a small bank with Catalina where you have to hold some people hostage and you fail miserably, idiota The mission with that samurai master dude on that boat in San Fierro The mission where you take back Madd Dogs house The mission where you go to Liberty City (i always saved before this mission so i can go back there) And finally the mission where you drive an RC plane haha no, the casino heist I'll add the mission where you kill Ryder and the one where you reunite the families as honorable mentions I may edit this comment later to add each missions name, instead of describing them lol but for now i'll go to sleep since it's 5 in the morning....bruh. I liked the mission with the sky crane too, just hate the 2nd part so much, same with the hydra mission that i'm willing to ignore their existance. Never liked "dog fighting" or how slow that sky crane is
Ah shit, here we go again. Worst place in the world. Rollin' Heights Balla country. Now I ain't represented Grove Street in five years. But the Ballas won't give a shit.
1:12:55 made me genuinely chuckle for a bit, growing up I did not know English or the game's story at all, so I just rationalized it as "Ballas disguised as Grove Street members ambushing Sweet"
I hate those Toreno missions even more now after James Woods went batshit insane and that gives me a strong urge to gun down Toreno every single time we goes on one of his smarmy rants.
Ah man, TBP went from talking about Twisted Metal, a series I love, to talking about San Andreas, a game I love. For the list though, I remember reading somewhere that Fish in a Barrel was supposed to actually have gameplay but was cut and King in Exile was the same and it involved going back to Los Santos to get something. Photo Opportunity was planned to have CJ and Caesar be in a helicopter, which is why CJ sounds like he's yelling during the photo section, but that idea was cut. The government agents in Flowers in Your Hair was actually supposed to tie into a later mission called "The Truth is Out There" that was cut. It involved going to that small section of land where the boat school is after finishing the San Fierro chapter and was the only other time the SWAT Tank would have been usable. Grove-4-Life I think would have made more sense to exist if they decided to attack that section of Idlewood as a means of getting to Big Smoke, shame it didn't do that. Surprised 555-We-Tip and Life's a Beach weren't closer to the bottom tbh. I speak Spanish so I can confirm that Los Sepulcros is "The Graves". Fun fact for Robbing Uncle Sam, while you need 6 crates there are more around the area you can break for health and ammo, Ryder will comment on how you need the crates though. For Ice Cold Killa a silencer is definitely a weird weapon of choice but I believe it was originally planned to be a Desert Eagle, don't know why they changed it though. I never thought you could jump the gate like that in Yay Ka-Boom-Boom... A disturbing little tidbit on Demolition Man; to my knowledge, it's the only mission where CJ overtly kills people for being a nuisance to him/his family. Another little fun fact, in Small Town Bank, when Catalina is held up by the cops the entirety of San Andreas is empty. No cars spawn and there are no pedestrians, at least in the original ps2 version. Not surprised to see Black Project so high, wasn't expecting it to be there though but I really do get the reasoning. If more videos like this are made for other GTA games I'd be all for it. If by chance we get a video like this or video in general for games like Metal Gear, Syphon Filter or MediEvil then that would just be the cherry on top.
1:42:31 You can actually jump and glide much further before parachuting, the only one mission you can do that and its no longer possible outside mission.
I’d grab my popcorn if I wasn’t sick. This is a video of epic proportions. Love it. Also the only reason I’m not a Patreon supporter right now is due to personal financial reasons, nothing you’ve done. Still love your content.
Hey man, you gave me 30 bucks a month for several months. If anything, I owe you at 12 months on the house. I want to see if I can try and swing that. I'm not sure how that works on patreon.
Bruh, you just got misinformation The va for Ryder never had a dispute with Rockstar and it was all rumours made by Ryder fans who didn't want him to be a villain It could just be that the VA was busy with his music career or they really did not have anything else planned for Ryder other than to make him one of the bad guys because that's how Rockstar written him
A Fish in Barrell and Photo Opportunity were supposed to be entirely different. There are many unused scripts for these missions left in the game files. And I'm not gonna mention about missions that have been cut, such as The Truth Is Out There.
@@gaminggoof1542 In Fish in Barrel you were supposed to drive Ran Fa Li to the airport while avoiding enemies. In Photo Opportunity you were supposed to use a helicopter to take photos of Ryder, T-Bone and Jizzy. That's why CJ and Cesar are screaming at each other, although they should remain undetected. Also, if you fly to Cesar with a helicopter, you'll see an insanely large marker which can be visible from high altitude.
1:49:16 there actually is a way to get inside and roam around freely with a glitch involving a bike and the ventilation shaft near the entrance. Younger me used to do the glitch all the time to restock on minigun ammo and to look at the cool stuff around.
17:09 The whole Return to Los Santos section, between Homecoming and Los Desperados (except for Cut Throat Business) sucks because there were several missions that were planned that seemed to be more fleshed-out, and even planned on having Big Bear be a central character. For whatever reason (I guess time restraints to make more varied missions), that never came to be so we were stuck with several gang territory missions + the 35% requirement before EOTL unlocks.
43:40 - if you manage to get cash to buy safehouse and safe there - you'll see that this "mission" is called "In the Beginning", which is also the name of the "mission" in Vice City if you don't go to the marker to trigger cutscene with phone call of Sonny and Tommy.
Yeah the game doesn't display a number above 9999 for ammo. If you use cheats or buy an insane ammount of ammo you can make the count disappear on any weapon but the game still tracks how much ammo you really have.
In Snail Trail you can actually take the train if you are fast enough and you can steal a cab and drive the guy to his destination, making the mission a lot easier.
48:28 For an American to know the black adder show and reference is impressive First time I ever watched blackadder as a kid (having already been familiar with, if not allowed to play GTASA) I lost it in laughter when I heard that line while watching Blackadder with family!
Your voice reminds me of Combat Wombat somewhat. Shame he doesn't make videos anymore. Interestingly though, the last time I played SA I couldn't speak English yet so I have no idea what the game is actually about x). Didn't even remember it had a heist, so this video is basically a discovery tour for me.
I’m not gonna spoil the mission for people who are still watching this video from beginning to end but I was so happy with your number 1 pick as it is also MY favorite mission in the game.
For the missions where you mentioned the long trip back to retry when dying being irritating, saving your game nearby to the mission and just reloading is always an option. Great video though, watched the entire thing :)
Freefall was certainly an interesting mission but honestly there were several easier ways to intercept the hitmen gunning for Salvatore. Meeting them on the ground and using your imagination from there, for instance but hey I've never designed a video game objective before
Fun facts about Saint Marks Bistro: - There were meant to be more context as to why CJ was sent there - he was sent to assassinate a high ranking Forelli member named Marco Forelli. - Despite only seeing a small part of it in the cutscene, about 40% of Portland exists. It's literally Rockstar reusing the map geometry from GTA 3 as it has the same models and textures (minus the snow added, obviously). - The city itself, in technical terms, is located in the interior universe high above CJ's garage in San Fierro. You can see a funny quirk of this in the mission itself where the number plate on the Sentinel parked in the outside courtyard has a San Fierro license plate. - Can't confirm this because I think it was just rumors, but back around 2004 - 2005 it was speculated that an extended version of this mission was planned where you chased Marco around on the streets of Portland, hence the extra geometry. I don't think Rockstar ever confirmed this though nor was it ever made if we're going by the mission source code leaks. However... - Tightened'reas (a mod) recently showcased the new Saint Marks Bistro mission that took this concept and recreated it. It adds about five or ten minutes at most, but seeing more of the Saint Marks area in GTA SA was pretty cool.
I love that you placed Snail Trail near the end of the list. I failed this mission recently when diameter of spook-o-meter suddenly expanded after reporter got into taxi. It was almost physically painful to follow this train again.
My top 5 favourite missions in san andreas: 5.a home in the hills 4. Pier 69 3. End of the line 2. Breaking into the bank of calligulas 1. Black project
11:05 i hated that mission as a kid, i spent over a week trying to finish them, i was even thinking of using cheats to skip them entirely, but i ended up finishing them.
Breaking the bank at caligulas you’re not supposed to open the parachute, they changed the physics for it and you just glide over there like a wing suit
42:00 I can't believe you said the rancher is your car of choice! Mine too! I remember when I was a kid I kept failing it with faster cars until I tried using a random rancher I carjacked on my way to the mission. So interesting that it's not just me!!
There's a trick behind the Snail Trail mission. Instead of following the train all the way to Los Santos, you can drive the bike to the train moments before it arrives and you can get on it.
the reason why people have issues with 27: supply lines is in a few versions of the game that were released the fuel meter is broken and drops faster then intended. it's suppose to work by reducing fuel while the accelerator is held meaning you could glide without using fuel but it's glitched so it drains even when gliding
16:00 I assume at some point there was an actual mission since Toreno does say offer them a dollar and kill them. The fact I spent full price on it annoyed me.
1:30:00 That mission also wasn't really supposed to be like that originally i forget who was it maybe vadim M did a great deep dive into leaked and datamined stuff including on that mission which showed a lot of things about that mission were basically thrown together or changed at the last minute so either the mission was a victim of a lack of time or last minute changes like other missions in SA rushed late development.

you also forgot to mention that the rhythm mini-game is a pain in the ass to do if you're playing it on PS2 or Xbox on an HDTV as the input lag makes it insanely hard to hit the buttons correctly(basically CRT TVs have a much higher refresh rate then HDTVs which is where the lag comes in).

I really do love Saint Mark’s Bistro. Seeing Salvatore followed by seeing part of Portland in San Andreas graphics.

So if you played San Andreas on PS2 first and remember these missions as being very hard, you're right. ;)
Also the versatility of a mouse makes Air Raid easier.
Supply Lines fucking sucked. I didn’t realize they lowered the difficulty on it after the ps2 release
About Supply Lines, I read somewhere that the mission is bugged too on PS2 where the fuel would still run out even if you stay idle
Screw that mission tho, I don't know how the hell I passed that
These changes are actually on PS2. Just the Greatest Hits version. Sucks for those with the black label, but the GH version did get the fixes.
If you check your map a couple times, the stationary ambulance is always the one you're looking for
Yep. I only know this from watching speedruns.

Pro strat for Intensive Care. After you ram the first ambulance, check the radar and see which blip is stationary. That's the one Johnny is in.

Imagine if "Cleaning the Hood" was a mission where you just started a carwash and lived a productive life of owning a small business.

Can't even imagine how much work this must've taken. Kudos for finishing it, definitely a fun and informative watch as a fan of the series
it's just playing the game once while recording then doing a ranking? not so just maybe, but still nothing too crazy
@johanoberg1157 you really dont understand how recording and editing a 2 hour long video would take a long ass time?
a few interesting tidbits about some missions here:
the mission customs fast track (the third garage mission): it is ALWAYS the third container no matter what you do or which order you take the containers off the ship and it is annoying.
wrong side of the tracks: it is difficult for us as children or those that don't understand at all NOT to stick too close to the train, otherwise it is fairly simple to beat.
intensive care: the mafia are NEVER in the first ambulance but can be in the second one, you can find out which one is the mafia ambulance because it stays entirely still while the real ambulance still moves.
wu zi mu: you can bring literally anything that is a technically a car, even a tanker truck and race with it, which can make it an actual interesting challenge because a fast car will just leave those amateurs in the dust.
cop wheels: for some strange reason, you cannot steal police bikes before the mission to use for the mission, you HAVE to use those four specific bikes to put them on the truck specifically.
los sepulcros: you don't actually fail the mission immediately if kane manages to get into a vehicle, you can chase him down until they get back to "safe" territory.
ice cold killa: you can do a lot with jizzy's car I imagine, you can do nothing, you can pop some or all of its tires, you can destroy the car and jizzy steals a pizza moped instead, you can stick a satchel charge or c4 on the car, among other things.
air raid: for some reason, if you are on top of your game by shooting all the rc planes on time, the planes never change direction or tactics at all, but if you do not so well, the planes then decide to switch tactics and send planes from different directions.
sweet & kendl: if you struggle with the ballas car or die or lose your homies too easily, you can get into a car instead if the opportunity presents itself, you just need to remember to follow sweet specifically during the first part, and ryder specifically during the second part, because it doesn't put them on the map since it wants you to get back on your bicycle, but you don't have to.
supply lines: I like it more than other people, maybe because I played it on pc, but the fuel apparently mattered on the ps2 version or something like that, some people say it ran out of fuel way too easily or something, I dunno. but it is fun if you know what you are doing. tip: don't constantly hold the accelerate key, just let it glide unless you need to go higher, no need to waste fuel like that.
home invasion: if on pc, good luck because you need to spam tap the move forward key, otherwise you move too fast by holding it down. if you get at least three of the crates and you have waken up the vietnam veteran, ryder actually won't leave you because you technically have enough crates to deliver to the storage place.
breaking the bank at caligula's: that parachute jump is difficult, but apparently the jump itself has some weird laws of physics around it, since you can just not pull the parachute at all and instead of quickly falling to your death, you weirdly fly forward very quickly and then you can just somehow land on the roof without pulling the parachute, and you will be fine.
just some things I find interesting personally, but gta san andreas has plenty more in it than just that.
Crouching also works, though pushing doors open will make noise.
yeah supply lines is glitched on some versions where fuel drained consistently. holding the accelerator or not
For Home Invasion you can kill the guy with a Sniper rifle and he won't wake up... it has to be a Sniper rifle specifically, any other weapon being fired will wake him up.
for breaking the bank at caligula's the parachute itself got a physics change in the game's code but only for the mission specifically, so if you keep the parachute and jump out of the helicopter from the highest point, you can travel really really far just diving forwards, and you won't take any fall damage when diving if you don't pull the parachute

I believe body harvest also has this but not 100% sure
54:05 i just noticed that Zero sells GTA Vice City and Manhunt figurines in his store

I do agree that Ryder is *currently* a pretty forgettable mission but at the time showcasing the level of in game customization in an open world game was pretty memorable.

I think the problem with some of the bad missions (Freefall, Wrong Side, etc) is poor design where game doesn't hint you the right way to do it
Two hours of TBP? Hell yeah brother.
Bruh, you just got misinformation
The va for Ryder never had a dispute with Rockstar and it was all rumours made by Ryder fans who didn't want him to be a villain
It could just be that the VA was busy with his music career or they really did not have anything else planned for Ryder other than to make him one of the bad guys because that's how Rockstar written him
A Fish in Barrell and Photo Opportunity were supposed to be entirely different. There are many unused scripts for these missions left in the game files. And I'm not gonna mention about missions that have been cut, such as The Truth Is Out There.
What were Fish in a Barrel and Photo Opportunity supposed to be? I’m curious especially about the former.
@@ArtKoval Fuck those sound fun, like The Truth is Out There. I wonder why they were cut.
Can I just say thank you for not using the defective edition for footage here. The graphics on that version are distractingly bad.
In gtav as well while the mission is called prologue you can perform a complicated glitch to get an “In the beginning” save file
"You can't stop me!" Ryder
spraycan actually has like 30k ammo instead of being unlimited .... well known fact among speedrunners
Yeah the game doesn't display a number above 9999 for ammo. If you use cheats or buy an insane ammount of ammo you can make the count disappear on any weapon but the game still tracks how much ammo you really have.
Interesting, all the walkthrough websites say it's unlimited. But what do they know?
Acktually 🤓☝️
Well you only need like 5000-6000 capacity in the can to get all the tags so 30k is basically unlimited
In Snail Trail you can actually take the train if you are fast enough and you can steal a cab and drive the guy to his destination, making the mission a lot easier.

For an American to know the black adder show and reference is impressive
First time I ever watched blackadder as a kid (having already been familiar with, if not allowed to play GTASA) I lost it in laughter when I heard that line while watching Blackadder with family!
I like how GTA:V basically paid homage to Vertical Bird from San Andreas by building it out into a heist mission in the online mode.
Meeting them on the ground and using your imagination from there, for instance but hey I've never designed a video game objective before
The problem with that is that Salvatore explicitly demands that the assassins never land in San Andreas, hence the over-the-top plane jump.
After watching your awesome twisted metal videos I didn't expect you to rank a GTA game!!
I’ll have 2 number nines, a number nine large, a number six with extra dip…
Spy: "Oh, come on...😔"
A number 7, two number forty fives, one with cheese, and a large soda
Fun facts about Saint Marks Bistro:
- There were meant to be more context as to why CJ was sent there - he was sent to assassinate a high ranking Forelli member named Marco Forelli.
19:11 I dont think anybody likes sweet, so you're good.
1:19:41 do the paramedic mission and vigilante mission to help on health issues
46:00 "The burials" is more accurate. "The graves" would more closely translate to "Las tumbas"
I love that you placed Snail Trail near the end of the list. I failed this mission recently when diameter of spook-o-meter suddenly expanded after reporter got into taxi. It was almost physically painful to follow this train again.
You can drive up to the train at the station, get in it and skip to LS
At 1:44:55 you're chasing Ryder by boat, and there is a car driving underwater under the bridge in the background!
My top 5 favourite missions in san andreas:
5.a home in the hills
4. Pier 69
3. End of the line
2. Breaking into the bank of calligulas
1. Black project
Mine is mostly the same except 2 and 1 are switched, and 5 is Vertical Bird
OK, Tactical Bacon Productions might just be the greatest channel name I've ever seen.
I always use Catalina's car. Every time i replay the game, the car will always there
There's a trick behind the Snail Trail mission. Instead of following the train all the way to Los Santos, you can drive the bike to the train moments before it arrives and you can get on it.
10:05 this kinda is resolved as Woozie mentions that he was tracking the vans the Truth was after to Toreno’s heli
Fun fact: In the mission lure, if you enter the health cheat, the doors on the rancher will fall off
11:01 yes, but learning to fly has aircraft. I think that should place it above driving school
the reason why people have issues with 27: supply lines is in a few versions of the game that were released the fuel meter is broken and drops faster then intended. it's suppose to work by reducing fuel while the accelerator is held meaning you could glide without using fuel but it's glitched so it drains even when gliding
Now we need a ranking of Vice City missions
16:00 I assume at some point there was an actual mission since Toreno does say offer them a dollar and kill them. The fact I spent full price on it annoyed me.
"...the doobie-ous illegal substance we're burning." Would have been a great pun.
I love how much I agree with this guy
You know you hate a mission when you remember its name
1:30:00 That mission also wasn't really supposed to be like that originally i forget who was it maybe vadim M did a great deep dive into leaked and datamined stuff including on that mission which showed a lot of things about that mission were basically thrown together or changed at the last minute so either the mission was a victim of a lack of time or last minute changes like other missions in SA rushed late development.
Vertical Bird is also the only mission that takes place in all 3 regions
1:19:08 nah those differences were intentional. The fake dragon had a walking stick like a blind person would to mock Woozie
Really enjoyed this, thanks for sharing + I look forward to your other GTA rankings
The catalina missions have no order, so the names don't correspond, but i agree all are fine, good list i agree on most points
Great video! It was fun reliving the missions.
