I did this poncho in greens and creams . So many people loved it and asked me for patterns that I wished you had posted the written pattern for it because they didnt want to follow along with the tutorial. Love your simplicity. Thanks for the awesome video!

Thanks for the Tutorial. I've made Poncho before making 4 granny squares and sewing together. Then sc around the neck and bottom ending with fringe. I used Tee Shirt to help with my sizes. Happy Crocheting everyone.
Absolutely love this pattern thank you so much for posting. I was able to use it as a guide and adapt it using the Primrose stitch which is my very favorite stitch. It’s kind of my go to stitch anyway thanks for posting this video.☺️❤️
Made my first poncho by using your pattern and I love it, posted it on facebook and gotten a lot of compliments on it also been wearing it and I hate coats of any kind but love this poncho...Thank you for sharing

Mando's Studio Thank you for this lovely video. I made one for my 8 year old daughter and she loved it, and I feel super Mama 😊 With all thanks to you! Looking forward to more of your videos. I am a beginner and find your instructions easy to follow.
I'm wanting to try this but with size 6 super bulky yarn. Any idea how to convert your pattern to that? I'm fairly new to crocheting and confused about how to convert patters for different yarn weights. Thanks!
I have not tried to convert it. But I’d say 1 stitch with a P size hook would prob equal 2 stitches on mine. So chain 41, follow the pattern. Slip it over your head & see if it needs to be larger.
Love your video will start mine tomorrow when I get my yarn Easy for a beginner like me to do ❤️Ina Finished my poncho it turned out great wish I could post a picture
I made one for myself . It was my first poncho. It was so easy and so very beautiful! Thank you so much! I dont know if this was your pattern or not, but kudos to whoever designed it. It really is a super simple project that looks a lot more sophisticated than it is!

Grace DiStasio thank you so much! The patternnis actually listed below in the comments. Just copy & paste into a document to print. Ty! Happy hooking!!!
Ooooh, Yay!!! A southern gal teaching CROCHET!! You sound like you're from the Carolina's by accent....but I could be wrong (usually Ga, Ms, Al have a thicker drawl than the Carolina's, but maybe I'm just a biased Carolina gal😜). Anyway, love that I found a fellow southerner to follow! Love the poncho! Thanks for giving the count for the various sizes too. And I thought you did great with your camera/CROCHET work! I don't think I could do it...I'm doing good looking at it directly and still miss, I'd really be OF if I had to look through a viewfinder or a screen! So, honey, you did great! New sub! Looking forward to more of your vids and patterns! Bye (in that beautiful southern bell drawl)! 😉
Hello Mando’s Studio! And thank you for the wonderful crochet tutorial. I am asking if you could please please make a tutorial on how to crochet an African Flower Tortoise. I cannot find a video tutorial anywhere! I learned how to crochet simply by looking at videos, so my pattern reading is not great. I did look at your other videos and I see that crocheting is not your main thing, but I would appreciate it greatly if you could make this tutorial! Love from South Africa xxx
Amber Gets thank you for the kind words. I’ve never made one of the tortoises but have made the African Flower. My guess it’s just an assembly of those but I’d have to look more into it. Unfortunately, I’m having a neck procedure today & praying it helps get my feeling back in my hand enough to do more crochet. Currently I’m not able to do much. I can still paint, because it uses different muscles in my hand, but I have zero feeling in my thumb, partial index & middle fingers. I will def look into this while I heal up!! Blessings!!
Romy Espy i just keep going on mine & it self striped like that, but you can cut your color at the start of a new row, but you’ll have a lot of waste that way
So glad I found this video. I plan to make a poncho here soon. Can you please tell me where Roth found the black yarn at? I can’t seem to find any in an ombré style coloring.
Phoenix Marine you would divide the stitches between each V. (35 stitches) and decide on how big of a hole you need & how high up on the poncho you want the sleeve to start. Once you decide that & size, you divide the amount of stitches for the hole (say 24) to 12 on each side of the half of the 35 stitches from V to V. Chain the 25 stitches & attach w slip stitch to the 25 stitch from the beginning of the chain. Repeat on the other side. On next down when you reach the chain, do the cluster sequence from previous rows. Once poncho is the desired length, go back to the arm holes & reattach yarn & work in rounds.

It's awesome

I am at row 20 and my poncho is looking good except it is curling at the edges. How do I prevent this?
Carol Davis it will until it gets some weight holding it down. Keep going. Try not working too tightly.
awesome video!!!
Janis Ridgway thank you!!!
If I chain 61 do I still make the first corner on the 35th stitch??
Mimi A no it’s half of the chain length, so 30 stitches
I bought 2 cake pop. How do you get the stripe colors exact on each row? Does it just automatically align because it’s variegated?
Romy Espy i just keep going on mine & it self striped like that, but you can cut your color at the start of a new row, but you’ll have a lot of waste that way
So glad I found this video. I plan to make a poncho here soon. Can you please tell me where Roth found the black yarn at? I can’t seem to find any in an ombré style coloring.
Rebecca Moss the black ombré yarn I believe is a yarn cake by The Yarn Bee sold at Hobby Lobby.
Thank you! I’m definitely going to look for it or something similar and make a poncho out of it.
How many rows do you suggest for toddler and baby poncho?
Ellen Lowery I usually measure the baby/toddler from neck to waist. Which most toddlers it’s like 12 rows. Babies 9 rows.also depends on hook size. :)
Yea !!!!! I found the written pattern for this poncho 😁
if I were to put a sc edge around , how many sc in the ch. 2 spaces at corners? Love this poncho! Good tutorial.
patty b thank you. I normally do 3 sc in the ch2 space so it keeps the V.
Thank for the pattern
Norma Hussar very welcome!!!
My ponch doesn’t match from the back and front. How can I fix that
Thank you for your prompt replied .........I can't find Cake Pop what flavor did you make this Poncho. .....Thank you
Alba Kambouris cake pop by Caron Cakes. That’s the flavor. Check amazon
i just got the caron yarn how dose one pull out the beginning from the center or the outer THANK YOU
Alba Kambouris grab a pinch from the very center & pull it out. The end is in there. Make sure the label is right side up.

mucha grachia (lots of thanks)
My ponch doesn’t match from the back V and front V. How can I fix that. Where is the pattern for this
Wow.. Im trying this!! Blessings
If someone wanted to add sleeves to this, how would one do it?
Anyone have any idea how many chains for a size 2x?
I wear a 2xl & my K hook with this pattern fits me fine. But you can always add another 6-10 chains or go up a hook size. I tend to crochet loose.
Thanks 4 sharing !!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️💜💜💜💜
Hi , thanks ..........which color did you use for the one demonstrated. Thanks
Alba Kambouris cake pop
I finished it! How do I add a photo?
You can post it to my FB biz page Facebook.com/mandosstudio

Could you please send me a picture of this poncho? I would like to attach it to the transcript that I have printed. Thanks a bunch!
When can we change our colour and how. Do,we do,it
Michelle Burnett yes you do it at the beginning of any new row
Great, easy to follow tutorial! Have you used cotton yarn for this poncho?
Could you crochet in every stitch and not have holes and do the six dc were you need them
Debra Reakes I would just double crochet in every stitch & at the V do two dc ch2 two dc then repeat around. Good luck
Thank you very much 👏👏👏👏👏
Patricia Brusset you’re welcome
