We only caught one picture of the BlueBird Mini Bird, but we don’t know where we saved it in our computer. Gotta check. However, we love it, despite being sold.
you did say that it has a 6.2 liter diesel... correction... it's actually a Chevy 6.5 liter diesel before Chevy upgraded to the 6.6 liter Duramax with the Allison Transmission...
This is a 6.5 diesel unless it has a 6.2 diesel conversion from an old 1980s or first 1990s squarebody gmc or chevy truck or hummer h1 6.2 yes 6.2 from the 1980s or 1990s
it does not have to have a wheel chair lift to be handicapped. Some disabilities are ambulatory but require special buses, handicap buses with no lift.
Type A is the cutaway van (Chevy Van/GMC Vandura, Chevy Express/GMC Savana, Ford E Series, etc.) based bus Type B is the integrated-stripped chassis based bus (Bluebird Mini bird, Carpenter Cadet, etc.) Type C is the cowled chassis-conventional based bus (International S series, Chevy/GMC B series, Interntional 3800, Ford B series, International 3300, etc.) Type D is the transit-style based bus (Bluebird all american/TC-1000/2000, Amtran Genesis, Thomas HDX, etc.)
These were used extensively in my School district all the way until I graduated from high school.
It's the last of the 6.5L Diesel V8 (from 1993 to 2002 in the Chevrolet/GMC Van line up), not the 6.2L as it was discontinued in 1992.
beautiful school bus.
these were used in my school district for smaller town runs. I road one for years. but it was gas not diesel.

That bus was an old Crusader Mall 16, seems that bus is too small for lots of kids and it is now retired.
We have one of those at Imaginary Friends Services located at 52 Main Road, Gill MAssachusetts
Ok
I thought it was the ugliest bus. But now that i look at it for a while, it looks pretty nice.

I believe it's a Type B School Bus.
I made a 2 crew cockpit in the front of a minibird.
...and why does it have a Wheelchair icon on it? It's not a handi bus.
