- Patrick Cappiello, the award-winning wine director at Rebelle in New York City, has a finely tuned palette accustomed to regularly drinking some of the best wines in the world. But here, we somewhat cruelly asked Patrick to grade Natty Ice, Milwaukee’s Best, Bud Light, PBR and Coors Light in a blind taste test. Surprisingly, he finds two that don’t offend his sensibilities.

100% going to say, “Tropical fruits, the dominant aromatic here” every time I open a Coors
🤣
i love how he always greets the different brands like old friends, like he's always so stoked
Actually, my last few short trips by Greyhound were more pleasant than trips of a similar duration by airplane.
@@pepperco100 what
@@pepperco100 oh I think you replied to the wrong comment, I was so confused for a second lol
@@Bubbles44 Sorry, I don't what happened. I do recall writing the Greyhound comment, after somebody in a video spoke disparagingly about riding a bus.
@@Bubbles44 So sorry! Somehow I posted a comment to a different video here.
Bud Light tastes like how Greyhound bus travel feels
Try some of this. ruclips.net/video/4P87n11vVEU/видео.html
Cheap and dirty
Great line.
I’ve had both before, the Greyhound bus ride is much more enjoyable than bud light.
This guy is awesome. Seemed super down to earth, not really pretentious, and good at communicating even from his high comprehension of the subject
Like my grandpappy used to say "You don't buy beer.. you just rent it."
man, that is priceless
I dont get it
@Scott Adam I would then have to ask who you give it back to lol
@@varunmj8075 you just piss it out
I love how this dude isn’t totally snobbing out. Its a good change for these types of videos
Any man who instinctively knows to make a Blue Velvet reference upon a sip of PBR is good in my book.
I want 30 more of these videos... craft, more cheap, middle of the road, IPA's, stouts, etc... I'd binge watch the shit out of that. Patrick's wine video's are great too.
D- For Bud Light and B+ for PBR?
Oh hell yeah👍👍👍👍👍
All day
Hammer Van Sickle bud light is atrocious
Love this guy! He probably has the most room of any human to be a snob, but he’s so relatable and laid back. My man 🙏🏽
I love how much he enjoyed most of those beers even as such of a beer connoisseur.
Bud Light, river water in a can
That is honestly exactly what it tastes like lol
Top choice of beer drinkers who hate beer but love to litter.
pangexp that would be strohs....or aa my homeys call it....hoes
@@_Peremalfait what kind of sus hates beer
This guy seems very knowledgeable and also doesn’t come off as douchey or pretentious very likable
When I was in college, it was either Natty or Keystone. We'd spend a little extra and get Miller Lite on Mom's Weekend.
Natty Ice is sort of an underrated gem.
Oh man! This is my type of guy and show! I love his humor. This is my new favorite channel for sure!
Where's the miller lite and busch!?!?
Tyler Kukola busch 😍
Kokanee. FTW
Busch? I'll take s miller if that's all you got but Busch? I'm just gonna stay sober
Colin Soileau Busch is much better
Sitkid no. Busch tastes like grass clippings that shits nasty
Milwaukee represent.🤟
Q: "What's the difference between having sex in a canoe and Coors Light. "
A: "They're both fucking close to water."
LOL!
Daniel Feldman you told the joke wrong
Daniel Feldman do you know what difference means?
The ad I got after this video actually featured a canoe in the very first shot lol!
now do "Sommelier blind taste tests Australian goon", I'm sure that'd be right up his alley
I like this guy’s energy
I like how he grades stuff for what it is. Like, when it´s a good beer pong beer it gets an A, even if it´s not really that good of a beer.
Never heard of Milwaukee's Best but I'll definitely be looking for it now.
"No Heineken, Pabst Blue Ribbon!"
DeMar DeRozan I bet, David Lynch probably says this every time he drinks a Pabst!
Love the blue velvet refrence. I myself tried pbr because of the line. No wonder so many hipsters drink it.
“Heineken, fuck that shit!” 😄👍🏻
PBR, American owned and operated in America....unlike bud.
+nathan rubio But but but, Bud says 'America' right on the label now! www.fastcodesign.com/3059681/budweiser-renames-its-beer-america
nathan rubio Budweiser is Union made in America. So good paying job given to Americans.
PBR, tastes like dog piss...unlike bud.
dantemike1 Pabst is headquartered in Los Angeles and owned by a company from San Francisco. sooooo no
actually a russian beverage company is going to soon buy the rights to colt .45, pbr, and old milwaukee. look it up
"Awesome, Coors Light" said no one ever
He just did.
word bro
Sarcasm.....something you missed
McCoy coors light is a decent beer to get a slow cheap buzz of of, definitely not Budweiser, but it gets to much shit
McCoy I like coors light. Definitely better than bud light and miller light
The Blue Velvet Dennis Hopper line and Bowie shirt sold me on this guy’s opinions.
Never been a fan of Budweiser products, personally but cold PBRs right off the ice on a hot summer day - refreshing and delicious
Coors always knew who they were and never gets enough respect. This dude called it:
"Party Water"
Hell yeah
Wisconsin knows how to do it. Best beer brewed here.
Blues Saraceno is the song.
Really underground but awesome.
Rock, Dark Country etc.
This was awesome
I’d have liked to see some Miller Highlife - the Champagne of beers....
Maybe because we have relatively strong taste beer here in México that i really enjoy drinking budlight.
Hearing someone say Pabst Blue has a nice long finish is the highlight of my day.
YES!!! The second he said "it smells sweet" I was like that' Bud Light! haha. Easily my least favorite of the cheap and cheerful beers. haha.
I try to try a new beer everytime I go to the store, except the ultra cheap ones because they give me a bad headache. My favorite is dark, sweet, Mexican beer!
Pabst is genuinely great
I wasn't sold until he called it "The Beast". And no love for Miller Lite?
2:54 we got a lynch fan
PBR is usually my go to for pong. Will have to try the Beast again cuz I don't remember what it tastes like
Good tasting notes
Needs more Yuengling
yeessss i can't believe how cheap yuengling is compared to how good it tastes. idk how the other guys stay in business (and i work for budweiser lol)
Volaire Larp much harder to find
It's rampant down here in Georgia
Volaire Larp I know out here west of the Mississippi I have literally never seen it outside of liquor stores/speciality shops, kinda sucks because it's great stuff.
Volaire Larp agreed
Awesome video
The "sex in a canoe" joke is originally a Monty Python joke about American beer in general. It's also told often in Canada. I'm rather amused that this joke has transfered over to Coors Light in the USofA, because that's about the wateriest American beer I can think of.
Now I'm curious about your opinion on Canadian "party beers." Molson Canadian, Keith's, Moosehead, Labatt 50, etc.
Spot on with the bud light
BEAST!
Yeah, he rated Milwaukee Best above the Pabst... some "expert"
it's true though... some edgy 16 year old you are though
well considering he won awards and was rated best sommelier of the year I think he is more qualified than you to talk about what is good and what isbt
Lmao, the close to water joke cracked me up
Yuengline, Miller, and NattyLite are by far the top three most consumed of my college experience, where they at?
Edit The Sink you must be from the east coast because I miss yuengling so much from my stay in Alabama
Granted I'm usually hammered when I'm drinking cheap shit but Patrick's palate is incredible, I don't remember anything but that vague flavor I can only describe as "beer" drinking any of these.
On Wisconsin!
there is ice beer everywhere in Canada, id drink them any day over an american style lager
How could you forget Busch Light
love milwaukee's best. i really think its an underrated beer, i drink ice beer though.
my fav beer to play with is abita purple haze
Here in Holland we have our very own 'Schultenbrau'
When I saw the Bud Light bottle I instantly laugh my ass off!
At 2015071 there were only cans
This was fun to see an expert talk about. Although I'd be very curious to know his opinion on the mouthful of pennies Natty Ice turns into once it drops 1 degree below refrigerated temperature.
You really can't go wrong with Pabst Blue Ribbon or Budweiser on draft. I love IPAs as much as the next guy, but if I see either of those two titans on draft at a bar, I'm ordering them. However, I'm slightly perplexed because I love them on draft, but I also (and I don't know why) think they taste like straight piss out of a can, or just passable out of a bottle. They genuinely taste different to me on draft.
How would these beers compared to wine from other countries like Heinaken/Stellar/Asahi?
Those are more crisp and complex. Especially the Asahi. Heineken's pretty bitter, but complex. Also worth considering for BP is Tecate or Corona.
I'm surprised he likes Milwaukee's Best. I couldn't stand that malt and cardboard taste. PBR for me when I don't want to pay much at the bar.
PBR is actually very nice, when you dont want to pay much. coors is good too when served from the tap. PBR and Natty Ice along with the dixie cups just screams beer pong.
Heineken is pretty flat. It's similar to domestic adjunct lagers except it lacks some of the less desirable cereal notes (not all cereal notes are bad in my opinion just the ones you find in those lagers). Stella is a good clean and simple adjunct lager a more substantial than the competition but nothing to make it stand out either. Never had asahi.
2:24 nailed it "flat sweet crap!"
👑🔥👑
🥋
I'm not from the US so I've never tasted Bud Light, but from what I've heard it's like the Raditz of beers
More like the farmer with a shotgun of beers
It's fine, it's an everyday drinkable beer. I love dark beautiful craft beers. Kentucky Breakfast Stout out of Michigan's one of my favorites. But everyday macro breweries are a lot better than we give them credit for.
I miss this videos
wtf, this guys got some next level taste buds. bud light tastes sweet to him hahah that shit is water
I think it would be cool if you did another one of these 'cheap beer' blind tastes & included ICEHOUSE 5.5% alc/vol brewed in Milwaukee. That is undoubtedly my favorite cheap beer.
Damn that's a good one!
I’ll go out and get a Best Chest right after this
Hamms would've been a game changer
Jimmy Wagner so good but not easy to find for me. Give the worst beer shits tho
huge fact right here
I drink only hamms at home and if it was at a bar or restaurant I’d drink it there
Same way I would’ve picked them!
Milwaukee Best Ice was my go to
why do they use the letter scale. it's so annoying to try and compare because sometimes they will say C+, sometimes they will stick to just the letters. be normal and use an /10 scale
Daniel White because it's not that serious. Relax. Additionally leaves room for a gray area for discussion.
Nice Blue Velvet reference
These would be so much better if they were actually blind. I.E. if you didn't tell him they were all cheap beers first.
So he can look like a bigger idiot?
MrYouarethecancer hahaaaaa
His opinion wouldn’t change you pitiful philistines. Even an amateur beer drinker can tell the difference in quality between fucking Coors and craft brews.
I was looking for videos of sommeliers rating ping pong balls. I guess this will have to do.
Keystone, Busch Light, and Kirkland are the new frat beers
Max Ice is the best. $1.07- $1.50 per 24 oz can 8% Alc. Its like a cheaper 211 steel with no nasty taste.
my buddies and i tried this once and michelob ultra was our clear winner and bud light was clear last. then again this was 9 years ago
2:56-2:59 I want as a ring tone
i love beer
Nothing beats coors light
this guy is hilarious
Should do some single malt scotch too.
+HiFiReviewer That may be on it's way...
Mix of nice and bad ones in a blind taste, not straight up only cheap stuff, or only nice stuff.
I stopped drinking cheap beer when I turned 21 and had a choice.
pbr gives me duck farts
Where the fuck is he getting banana from???
bro i was thinking the exact same thing ive had beers here in canada and even in the Caribbean and never thought to myself "that hint of banana is a really nice touch"
John Flores the banana smell is an ester produced by some lager yeasts, it's going to be very faint in these beers but if you try a hefeweizen that has a much more pronounced banana character
Have you tried German Weizenbier? It's that stereotypical bavarian beer that they serve in huge glasses and it actually has a banana-ish taste and smell to it. Some people have even started drinking "Bananenweizen" which is basically a glass of Weizenbier with a splash of banana juice in it.
John Flores I think heineken has a banana taste to it
John Flores Banana is a typical note when you're smelling sweeter (cheaper) beers. More of an overripe banana smell...
This dude just proved....that anyone can be fucking professional taste tester lol
One of the last remaining ice beers??? Shows how notable this guy is.
In Ireland so oddly enough American thrash beer is slightly over-priced. Not sure what the cheapest beer going would be for beer pong. Maybe something disgusting like San Miguel in 660ml bottles. That or Tuborg.
PBR with some lime juice is always a good call
That Blue Velvet reference though
10/10 for the blue velvet reference
i agree with these assessments but yuengling should be on the list and maybe high life too.
drinking pbr since 1992
i like Coors strictly because it has zero taste. PBR is my go to although
Ice cold Coors Light is a technological marvel for its complete lack of flavor. It's not a beer one enjoys drinking, in particular, but it's one that is certainly easy to drink
Wish they did Miller lite
Not including Natural Light as a "Beer Pong Beer" is like not including your dad in a family portrait...
How do you make a beer pong video without Miller Lite?!
0:48 to 0:52 me when i am about to hate myself again
“Aw, yes!”
Why are they so small? Here in the UK all our beer cans are twice the size of that.
cans are 12oz, but you usually get these shit beers in 24 or 36 packs.
