As a language teacher I can attest to the reading being important right away!! Get them hooked as soon as possible! Also, as they get older, you’ve gotta lead by example :) Sit down for reading time WITH them where you’re either reading a larger book out loud to them or you’re both separately reading your own books. It is SO huge for their vocabulary development and their ability to make connections across so many other subject/content areas!!

May I ask, what do I do if my baby (he’s almost 11 months) doesn’t want to be read to? He gets annoyed and just wants to grab the book and open and close it, chew on it, throw it. I really want him to love reading and we have so many good books for him, but I’m worried he won’t be interested in it.
I have an almost 8 month old so I love that Sage is a “season” ahead of her and can give us all the tips

These vids always make me smile my grandpa has cancer and he is really not well but your vids always make him smile and you are a very good person keep doing what your doing its making a big difference in the world and Sage is adorable!!!!!!

Cocomelon is actually pretty terrible, especially for young kids' development. It's been said it's hyperstimulating that it actually acts as a drug, as a stimulant. The brain gets a hit of dopamine from screen-time and it seems that the stronger the ‘drug’ aka the level of stimulation a show delivers, the stronger the ‘hit.’ If you notice, the scenes are less than a second long which can promote ADD. Lots of other alternatives available, even Sesame Street goes at a much more manageable pace for kids her age.
Thank you I really appreciate this as I’ve been a little worrisome about her watching too much of it. I’m going to try switching things up!
I show my kids Little Bear. It's super calming, classical music in the background, screens change very slowly and not too often.
@@HealthNutNutrition oh and you can also put on just a video of an orchestra playing classical music, or a ballet, or even simple cooking shows like Ina Garten 😅

I'm really late, but I was just searching for essentials for this age group for my daughter. And after you mentioned those catchy tunes of Cocomelon. I'm now sitting here singing, big blue tractor over and over and over and over again in my brain. Somebody make it stop lol. And we have been reading books from the first week of her life. The I like myself I can tell with out looking at the book!!! or yikes, with spikes all down my spine. Or hair that's like a porcupine!!!!! Have I lost it yet? And we have the 360 too. I got to say, my husband likes it, but it feels just to big on me for some reason, even with adjusting it.

I do the same thing to I have a nine month little boy and I have a two-year-old and I’m home alone every day with both of them so are used to TV wanna have to get stuff done cook I have to shower or do house chores
Hey Nikole, i have a 5 month old, we are planning to do purees and BLW. I have a doubt, so how did you defrost the purees ? I watched that video of baby meal prep, iam also planning to prepare the purees for a week or so.
Yes we just warm up the frozen pucks on the stove top and will sometimes add a little water if needed

Yes I do before putting in the dishwasher but thanks for the reminder!
360 cups are actually not recommended by speech pathologists. They develop mouth muscles that you would never use. Please look it up before you continue using.
Does Sage fall while playing and trying to stand/walk , my 9 month old are. Im worried because they hit their heads everytime.
It's normal! Just make sure someone is watching them but it's good for them to fall sometimes and learn to get back up :)
