      Thank you sir, I really enjoyed this one.
      This place just kept going building after building. And once we got down into the inner workings with the generators, it was amazing

    what state is this in?

    very cool, I can tell by the graffiti this is CT somewhere... or Western Mass

    • @richdiscoveries
      @richdiscoveries  Месяц назад

      Yes Sir, Ct. Good call. 😊
      This place had some refreshingly good artwork. So used to seeing kids just paint dicks and racial slurs. I never understood that🤷
      This is talent I never possessed. I'm the guy you call when your car doesn't start. But if you need it painted, I'm not your man Lol..
      But I always thought if I could create artwork like that I would paint fun and sometimes questionable pieces.
      Not just make a mess of lines, slurs and symbols from the past that we have long figured out and moved past.
      I'd want to create beauty in dark places. And some of the stuff that's out there is just freaking mind blowing that it could come from a handful of spray cans. Especially when they add depth to it. 😊

    Hey Rich, do you know if those railroad tracks are still in use? Also, was there a random broken toilet sitting on the floor in one of the buildings? Very interesting place to explore and awesome video!! 👍👍

    • @richdiscoveries
      @richdiscoveries  9 месяцев назад +1

      What's up brother..
      The tracks had a very slight shine on them. We were there a couple of hours and unfortunately didn't see one train pass. That would have been cool to film from inside one of the abandoned buildings on the site. I would assume it's just a lightly used freight rail.
      I don't remember exactly where it was, but I'm pretty sure I saw a toilet or two where there used to be some bathrooms and walls. I think it was in the office area at one point.
      This place was huge and a lot of fun.
      It started off like any other old mill or factory with some huge empty buildings. But then we got down into the workings of the place and found all those beautiful old generators. Probably spent an hour climbing around those alone.
      Hope all is well my friend, always nice to hear from you.
      And it looks like we're finally gonna get some nice weather around here. It's been raining the last 2 months LOL.

      @@richdiscoveries it’s crazy how people vandalize these abandoned places! I personally wouldn’t try to move around some dirty old toilet or try to break it lol.

      @richdiscoveries  9 месяцев назад +2

      Yes, there was a few unsafe areas, specially that beam that was holding on by a thread. I just look up and don't go under anything. Then I get out of those areas quickly

    Warren Buffet put all these vintage American Industrial Revolution Factories into Trust & issued Property Insurance packages for each one of the lovely buildings. Finished Business, lets go on.

    • @richdiscoveries
      @richdiscoveries  9 месяцев назад

      Such beautiful history in these places. We can read about the business's and what they did there.
      But these buildings show you the history. You can't read about. The floors they walked on, the updates to the building and electrical ect, a random nail or hook in a wall.
      I always wonder who did this for who put this there.. It's just the regular everyday people like you and me that we will never know. Long gone people that were just coming to work to provide for their families which have gone on to raise families of their own by now.
      I don't.
      I dont know, my mind just starts going when im in places like this.
      On a side note.I had to look it up to see if he was even still alive, that man is ninety three years old now.. still running his company
