That's because rugby league is Australia's national sport whereas in England its pretty much just a northern thing. There simply isnt enough fans to make huge stadiums that's why they need to borrow Manchester united's ground for the grand final. End of the day it Doesnt effect the match

The rest of the country is AFL territory, even with the Storm being so dominant in previous years, most of them can walk around Melbourne without being noticed. NRL can not compete with the money the AFL or ARU can splash around. PNG is considered the only country on the world where Rugby League is the national sport. But NRL clearly like to run things as professional as possible. But as you said, didn't effect the game.
The Ratchford thing is all up in the air, I can't honestly say wether it was a bad tackle or not. If he hadn't have gotten injured nobody would think anything of it. But Monaghan was just bad tackling, nobody's fault but his.

Overall presentation the game ELITE match is an utter joke! SOCCER markings on the pitch, no Super League logo or anything! Completely AMATEUR and poor sending a message out to the world in a negative vibe. Look at the NRL Grand Final and how PROFESSIONAL the whole event is! RFL are a disgrace! Nothing less!
