Need to get that boy some sunglasses before he goes snow blind!
Those KO2s are great in snow!!
I have had 4 sets of KO2 on different Trucks and they work great in snow and highways while icy in Northern Ontario. If it is icy and at freezing, nothing works, stay home.
I've ran BFG K02s. I've ran BGF original AT/KO, I've ran Falken Wildpeaks 3W (these were good btw), and I've ran Bridgestone REVO"s ( NEVER AGAIN)..., all A/T tires and with Snowflake symbol (not sure if original AT/KO had snowflake though) Regardless.. Up here is Quebec Canada, NOTHING beats a DEDICATED WINTER TIRE in heavy icy snowy, slushy, compacted plowed streets, (you name it) roads.. Ya deep fresh soft snow like in this video is easy for any AT Snowflake picto tire. But NOT the same on ice and dense compact snow, or ice with frozen snowy streets in -20 degree weather.. True no tire EVER will steer you like rails on ice.. BUT... dedicated winters DEFINITELY perform better..
My original KOs had the 3 peak snowflake symbol on them as well
I run dedicated winter's now with studs and I will never go back to M+S
There's definitely something to be said for not feeling like you're about to slide off the road into the ditch on every corner.
Thanks for sharing, I was actually not sure if anyone had the asnwere to this. That said, I'll stick with dedicated snow light truck.
I had a set of k02s and they were great but not so great on icy roads.
I run Falken Wildpeak and they are better than the k02s at everything.
Hell yeah need actual winters, I got blizzak ws90 for wifey suv, awesome tire btw, BC 🇨🇦
Awesome, I just loadedy Subaru Ascent with some KO2, game changers
Come to northern MN or Canada we frequently have 8+ inches of snow test it here
BFG has been the answer in AT tires since the 70s. They aren't passenger cars tires with a tread that looks like an AT tire, they are an AT tire. Seems like many of the tires that are presented as competitors today are really a different class of tire. It you plan to drive at any speed on dirt and more importantly rocky surfaces, you need puncture resistance. The class of tires that have an AT tread but a light weight sidewall/carcass are going to let you down, sometimes in the first mile or two of use on sharp rock, unless you like to drive around near idle speeds.
I think the KO2’s are by far the best tire you can put on a Tundra. I have tried 4 different brands on my 08 tundra and made a mistake of trying the Cooper AT3’s this time around after being really happy with the BFG’s. I fell for the hype. I will be going back to BFG
I've got KO2 tires on my 2010 Raptor SVT. I just got it in August of this year, so I'm glad that these are going to be dependable in the snow. Thanks for doing this video. That was my biggest question. Looks like they won't disappoint when the time comes.
The KO2s have a snow tire rating of three peaks on the tire. So they are a good tire in the snow.
@@MrWhoevr that's awesome to know, I've not gotten a chance to use the truck much in snow this time, but the tires are practically brand new, so I will get a lot of life out of them yet. I drive OTR and I'm only able to drive the truck one week out of the month, but these tires seem to do pretty good in the mud as well. I've got a 6% or steeper grade on my driveway getting out of my place, the four wheel drive is a huge help, especially after it rains. I don't think I want anything but the KO2'S on that truck to be honest. They are such great tires to be sure. Thanks for confirming about the tires though. I thought that same thing about them.
What vehicle is that
Has anyone had both these and the new mickey Thompson Baja boss at? I'm extremely impressed with everything I've put the bb ats in. They've done exceptionally great in deep snow, wet, dry, mud ( I try to keep it a pavement princess) and everything. By far the best tire I've ever ran but these things are also heavy. I have 275/55r20 10 ply on a 20x10 wheel. 04 yukon denali that weighs roughly 7k pounds from the extra weight and I tow often as well. Have 50k miles on them with 13/32 left out of 18/32.
I'm considering trying the bfg ko2 out since its lighter but I've heard wet traction sucks and they wear more since the original bfg kos. If anyone has any input that's ran both I'd greatly appreciate it
Boss AT is a newer more superior tire than the KO2, stick with the Boss don’t downgrade.
@@Seattle808 I was looking at them because they are a 8 ply tire and was trying to split the difference between the previous 6s I've ran and these 10s. I can't go back to a 6 with as much weight as I've added in this thing and as much as I tow now. I doubt they'll perform better. I've been severely impressed with these.
I ran BFG AT'S originals and KO'S for 22 years on all my trucks ford rangers all way up 1 ton trucks and I put two sets on my wife's SUV'S trust me I definitely put them to the test of heavy hauling deep snow, mud, sand ice, I never had never had a problem with them even on wet roads or hydroplaning in deeper water it will pull you to one side but that will be expected for any Tire I work construction and I own farm now I'm running Firestone destination XT because they where cheaper they perform the same as The BFG AT'S I live Northeast Wisconsin hopefully the answers your questions
Have you experienced the KO2’s on plowed snow,,,compacted,,,,,,, I have and it was SCARY….they are only good with deep snow,,,,on plowed streets slippery like ice!
That’s what these people don’t realize. Traction through slightly deeper snow is one thing. Traction on ice and the ability to actually stop and turn on icy, compacted snow is another.
Ice, is ice! No tire is really going to be that much better on it! K02s are really awesome, when aired down 20- 40lbs.
@@freespirittransport5139 then u haven't driven on dedicated winter tires...
@@jay.0621 Studded snow tires? No. Illegal in most states, though.
@@freespirittransport5139 nope,just regular winter tires,any brand.
studded winter tires are illegal in most Canadian provinces, too.
Serious question, can I put these on my toyota corolla?
Im honestly looking for the most durable tire possible. Price is no concerned
If they fit, then yes. Go to the Bfgoodrich website and see if they make them in your size.
Get Michelin cross climate 2.
🤦♂️
I don't think it was the tires it's the power of Yota
Yeah all 200 of it lol
@@2KCamaroZ28SS 😂 I wrote that when shopping for tires. Bought some ko2 and here we are a year later and not impressed. First 6-7 months they where great now they are ok I guess. I mean they aren't trash but not the hype that everyone puts with them
