I really like how the game slowly is ramping up stress. During the first competition, stress didn't matter too much, but now that you are playing more cards and dealing with more and more customers, stress is actually starting to become an issue.
This was exactly what I was hoping for. I was worried that the game would have poor balancing and cause such a hyped up mechanic to go underutilised, and that the insistence of keeping the game casual would flatten any interesting difficulty curves. Glad to see I was wrong.
14:32 - if I'm not mistaken 12% stress means when you draw a card it has 12% chance of becoming a bad card. simply roll a 100 dice and if it rolls 1 to 12 you draw from the bad pile, it doesn't actually place cards into your deck
Imagine walking into a potion shop and picking out one of the fine products on offer. But when you step up to the counter to pay, the shopkeeper starts laughing maniacally while putting on a dueldeck. "You utter fool. No customer stands a chance against the power of my superior sales techniques."
When I first saw this series I didn't think I would enjoy it so much that I am waiting every day for another episode, in fact I thought I wouldn't enjoy it at all. Loving watching the strategy aspect of this game.
This series has one thing that no other series in the past while has had, literally 99% of the comments saying how much they love it...and man do I agree
Tyler, I want to put into context just how good you are at this game. You're selling your potions for higher prices, earlier than me, with a less overpowered deck.
Ok Tyler, Luna may have some seemingly worthless cards, since they all revolve around stress. But they’re also the funniest, so you should really make the decision on what’s more important
That does make sense. The heroes that he's sending out are removing spider webs that otherwise block out the sun, causing plants and other wildlife that aren't used to UV exposure to suffer from "Overexposure".
There are actually ways to go infinite. In fact, I now have a deck that sometimes does that, and the game can't handle drawing deck. You can't reach the cards at the far left and right when that happens, because they arc out of frame. Also glad to see we got similar taste in decks (but also sad I won't get to see a different playstyle. Maybe your deck will evolve differently).
Not every word ending in -us ends in -i when pluralized! This only applies to words that are Latin in origin. Walrus comes from Dutch, being a compound of words for whale and horse. Its English plural is walruses, or walrusses or just walrus. Similarly, the plural of 'Octopus' also often gets hypercorrected to 'Octopi', despite the word being Greek in origin, not Latin. The most common English plural is 'Octopuses', though 'Octopi' does get accepted by some dictionaries due to common use. A rarer pluralization that is more true to the Greek origins is 'Octopodes', though it doesn't see a lot of use.
Well it doesn't help that even the explanation uses Octopi more frequently than Octopodes. Octopodes Octopodes Octopodes Octopodes Octopodes Octopodes Octopodes Octopodes

The way stress works is this: Every time you would draw a card, there's an X% chance to add a random stress card to your hand instead. They are never added to your deck, and stress cards drawn in one transaction don't affect the next.
hey tyler, do you think you can play more of Dredge? i thought it was a really cool game, and you left off at quite a cliffhanger after learning why you shouldn't be out after dark
Hello, Each time you draw a card, you have X% chance to generate a stress card into your hand, where X is your stress level. Stress cards never go into your draw or discard pile.
so the 3d model cats and the cats depicted in their corresponding cards have their eyepatches flipped is this our clue that the cats aren't actually missing an eye/using the sailor trick to have one eye adjusted for darkness and another adjusted for light? or are the devs bad?

gotta say after i beat this compition literally felt like it takes forevor to just give everyone a gift and then because shop has no filter that also takes so long, you do a great job cutting to the exiting bits but the time it takes visit everyone is a good 5-10 min easily skipping text. (didnt help that i had no single e ingredient as well but thats another thing)
Choose some characters to ignore, there's not enough time in the game anyways to max out the relationship with everyone. For example I neglect roxanne, the kittens and mint a lot cause i cant be bothered
So i'm guessing the Shadow Steppe being weaker is a result of the hero's guild investments? I mean it did say it had a chance to disrupt the ecosystem.
I like that haggling doesn't matter u can just sell everything in vending machine and make way too much money if u just focus on brewing instead of selling. Haggling only matters in competitions until u get so much better then opponent u insta win
the potion thing should try to brew the closest potion to the current recipe independent of the potion you choose. the choice should be only for the markings, would be pretty nice to just throw some stuff, see what comes out and try to just improve and finish.
There's a tab for that in the top left of the brewing menu, great for when you want to make max magimin potions, not so great when you have commissions and an upcoming competition.
Apparenty theres a bug in the game where you can get people to lose negative patience and you can keep it going to raise the price with the haggling. Theres a clip of this exploit on youtube lol
