@@dunkemgood2463 Hey, Steev! Maybe this blog post will help: www.printful.com/blog/how-to-find-a-niche-market-for-your-online-store-115-niche-market-ideas/
Honestly just the SEO alone made me interested in Printful. The moment i search print-on-demand, I got a bunch of listings for videos by you guys. Hardly any other people, let alone competitor brand. The only one to show up was Printify, but not only is it dated it also hasn't been updated with wordpress. Plus you guys have all the great free content, and good UI.
The real issue, which i feel like a lot of people here clicked the video for, is what the profit margin would be for that $100 sales. A good bella Canvas shirt runs something like 12.85, and if you sell that at 20, that is roughly $7 a shirt. So now with that $100 sales number, your profit is $35...but you spent $50 on facebook ads....
@@TheEgyptianBackpacker The shipping cost is charged from your payment account. You can choose to charge some money for shipping to customer for securing profit + extra few money, or take it and charge free for shipping for higher conversion but profit loss.
Don't worry, experienced online businessmans don't expect any profit on first day or month. Plus most of sell actually comes from Email, SMS and Messenger marketing, often free at start. You have to wait 2-3 month before seeing High Yield Income to pop up, at least some sign.
So the actual start-up is low cost but you have to have a substantial amount of money in your account to operate? Essentially someone who is practically broke should save before starting...🤔
More things are actually missing, example paying for an LLC or DBA in your state. That paperwork is usually needed to open a business bank account. Also applying to the IRS to be able to collect sales tax can take a week or 2. In general no one can start when completely broke, it definitely requires $$$$ to start a business, even print on demand.
$55 for Facebook ads is very optimistic, not going to see much results with that, especially if you are just starting out! I would budget at least $1-2K minimum for ads unless you have other marketing channels.
Blessings everyone. Can someone please explain step number 6. From what I’m understanding, EVERY TIME someone places an order I need to have at least the cost of that order ALREADY in my Printful payout account to fulfill that order, otherwise if I don’t have at least the cost they won’t fulfill the order. If I’m correct, my question would be this: What about if I hit a grand slam and I get, let say, $5,000 worth of orders in one day and I don’t have the money in my Printful payout account, what would happen then? Do I need to wait for my e-commerce platform to pay me so I can pay Printful and then orders start getting fulfilled? I hope I’m making sense. *God* bless.
Ms. Harrison, Blessings Ms. Harrison. I read on Printful’s website on how this works. And yes, you do need to have funds to cover the costs already in your Printful’s payout account for orders to be fulfilled, otherwise the orders won’t go through. So if you hit a grand slam in one day, funds to cover all the costs must be in your Printful’s payout account to fulfill all those orders. My advice to you is to seek *Jesus Christ* and let *Him* guide you on opening up a business like this. Maybe *He* has something better for you. *God* bless.
Sounds very easy but when I am in front of the computer to do it it is not easy .., the most difficult part for me are google ads ... I need more tutorials on this.
BE CAREFUL! I wonder if anyone doing videos on POD & drop shipping will ever bother to tell their audience of inexperienced, hopeful, young wantrepreneurs that if they use more than *20%* of their available credit, their credit ratings will tumble into the low 600's? It's true. They need to be sure they know the exact date of each month upon which Equifax, Experian & TransUnion each report their debt to credit ratio, and make sure they have paid their *total balances* down to *less than 10%* of their available credit. If they are above 30% on that day not only will their rating take a hit, but their banks may lower their available credit which will in turn cause their usage % to sky rocket, leaving them in a potentially very difficult situation. I know this is boring grown up content, but in the US one's credit rating is the most important thing to master.
Switching over to Printify, these prices are way too high. One onesie is 12.75 for example, you need to charge 18 to make any profit which no mom will pay unless its an all over design which they dont offer. Such a shame as I love Printful
You also have to keep fund in Printful payout to even fulfill orders. But keep in mind that many people complains Printify's printing quality. Printify isn't good with international shipping either.
What is the very FIRST step to do? Set up e commerce platform and store OR set up a printful account?? Is there a video showing how to link your online store/ merchandises with printful merchandise ordering system? How to connect the two into one, the store website? Hope my questions are not silly.

Question: I need customers to upload their photos to my woocommerce site, I'll convert their photos and then submit to printful. Do you know how to set up a "Custom Print Store", where the client uploads a photo during checkout, then the order is in "process" until our designer edits their photo and sends it back for review to the client, and when the client accepts their edited photo, the order is released to Printful. see my canofart.com for an example of what I need to do. Thanks in advance.
Hi Nikita! You can set up product personalization for certain product types for your Woocommerce store with Printful. Here's some more detailed info on how: ruclips.net/video/98JuvBEEBQQ/видео.html However, once your client has submitted their order, you won't be able to download the image they've uploaded from your Printful dashboard. So you would have to ask the client to upload their image separately or send it to you manually for you to download and do the edits. All orders with the personalization feature enabled don't go to fulfillment automatically but need to be manually approved. That means you can edit the print files of personalization orders - delete the initial image your client uploaded and replace it with the edited version. So it's possible to set this up, but you'll have to ask your client to send the image over manually. If you have any more specific questions on how to best set everything up, reach out to our support team via email to support@printful.com
When customer order products and pay on our store, you automatically process and fulfill them when orders come through, and ship them out to our customer. Can this be manual? mean you just proceed right after we approved and sent you the new file which had visual copyright and high resolution? thanks
Hey! Manual order confirmation is something that you can set up in your Printful profile settings. Then we'll start fulfilling the order only when you've approved it. If you need any help with this, feel free to reach out to our support team - support@printful.com.

all you need to know is that communication with the public and your (potential) customers is key. if you spend more money on ads on social platforms and set your target group correctly and according to your analysis, the ad should hit the right people. no one can say how many products will be sold when spending a certain amount of money on ads- neither online nor offline.

Printful is not as user friendly as it may seem. You have to watch alot of tutorials or get help for basic things. For example, how to add products YOU designed to a 3rd party store is not easy.
You've turned something that's far more complex into bare minimum terms that are simplistic to the point of being semi deceptive, or at best , misleading. Based on my 45 years of experience, I'd suggest that if someone want's to seriously start an apparel eCommerce business that they have a minimum cash budget of $20K and a really solid ($50K) line of credit, and either a lot of creative talent/design skills & or some real business expertise. Don't kid yourself thinking you're going to hit a home run with $500 bucks in you pocket & a clever name. Sorry, it's not that simple.
What exactly would you need 20k for? Unless you delegate the entire workload to a team of people you'll hire (for design, marketing, support), what costs do you have to cover exactly with that 20k when you first start out? You don't need a warehouse, or stacks of boxes with tshirts, or employees to manage them. What do you need 20k cash ready for?
So those who have started up successful brands using print on demand on the various platforms with very little invested aside from their time don't get any credit for even having existence?
