I don't agree with it. IGN was told to review the film... but couldn't even be bothered to do actual research about the characters featured in it. That's just plain lazy. That and if it's not pushing identity politics, they don't want to have anything to do with it. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice had the same problem. So did Topgun Maverick (critics were calling and I quote "too patriotic"). Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire... again critics simply understand not every film is high-end masterpiece level art like Diary of Ann-Frank or Schindler's List. Some flicks just need to be fun escapism. Something the fossils running IGN/FOX/CNN/and the other film reviewers can't/won't understand.
Also, I found a steamer hating on the movie because the characters weren’t enough like their G1 counterparts or something like that, and saying that transformers is doomed because of how bad the movie is going to be. (He has not seen the movie.)
I dunno what’s making me sleep less…. The excitement to go watch transformers ONE on imax Wednesday (I missed out last week) This interesting review from IGN OR THAT THUMBNAIL….
just a little reminder that these are also the people that gave wukong a 7/10 and said it was "repetitive and uninteresting" while also giving concord a 8/10 and called it a "game changer" when it face first dove off a cliff, I think at this point people shouldn't ever trust popular people like IGN
I remember when IGN just showed what's new and upcoming trailers, and I actually did thought they were a really good source for them (in like... 2000s-2008) Now they're just filled with a bunch of m(ass) media corpo rejects that doesn't like games and thinks everything has to be a Martin Scorsese Avant-Garde film or probably thinks that playing one mario or zelda or some really obvious nintendo game makes them a gamer and acts like a know it all or those who thinks that games suck if they don't have graphics that'll melt your PC. In short, filled with people who don't care about games and movies. I really don't know how they are still running (and even worse, still manage to influence people). Thankfully, word of mouth is saving this movie.
I am totally going to disregard the guy’s critique regarding the movie & judge for myself when i see this Friday for my birthday 🎂. I do agree that Bee has been used & a abused too much. I also agree with the whole douché bag bay thing & that he is still involved with TF in the movie world. Gladly douché bag bay was not involved in any way shape or form with the Netflix Trilogy.
I said it before. Fans for the movie/franchise will give this high praise. It must be the general public/people that are either casual fans or people that just want to watch a movie that you have to convince to have them watch THIS movie. Same thing happened to Rise of the Beast movie. Fans were praising it to high heaven before and after watching the movie. The general public were just luke warm to it. There was no, "Gotta SEE IT!" movement to that movie. I have a feeling that this movie will do exactly like the 1986 movie in my area. It was playing for a couple of days, then it was gone.
I don't even look at reviews before seeing a movie anymore. Either a trailer will grab me or immediately disinterest me and no review good or bad will ever change that. TFO had an epic trailer, and basically does its job letting you know everything you need to know so no real surprises going in. While relying on a McGuffin can feel like lazy writing it's so prevalent in G1 lore that it's to be expected. Haven't see the movie yet but I'm assuming he's referring to both the transformation cog, and matrix of leadership which if you know the history of Transformers makes perfect sense because without either you couldn't really have a Transformers origin story. Bee I feel is just there to add hype, and humor for younger audiences while Elita 1 is there as mediator trying to keep the infighting to a minimal and keep them all from getting killed before Prime becomes a responsible leader. It's nothing groundbreaking but streamlined, and sensible enough characterization for the movie to work and suit most audiences. What I feel this review needs to understand most is this supposed a fun for all audiences scif adventure, not grim/dystopian Oscar bait. We already have the WFC games for that.
Those critics are lying I seen the movie yesterday and objectively speaking it’s the best transformers movie even tho I love 2007and this is coming from the guy, me who thought this movie was gonna be a generic kids movie it’s far from that it’s great, we finally got a new iteration of transformers that isn’t a g1 hybrid and if this film does well we could be looking at the next beast wars/bayverse if you know what I mean 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 this movie gets a 8.5/10 for me
Just wanted to let you know that the “If” is supposed to be “Of” “All the Cybertron lore and backstory can be interesting at times, but none [of] it is covered with enough depth….” Just something else you can check off on the ‘Why does IGN suck’ list. They’re too busy talking up companies’ DEI projects to bother proofreading. Whoever their editor is, they’re making money for nothing
They're just there to be leeches and the fun police. Leeches who would spread hate and disgust. And also, if they are talking about Elita-1, she's always an authoritative figure (sometimes since Animated was different). That's what 'Search for Alpha Trion' showed her to be at first. Ariel was the girly girl so I don't know what IGN was even trying to convey. Again, IGN was never meant to be taken seriously. As usual so I don't even know why I even wrote this. Possibly because they don't know when to quit. Like a bad habit.
Having seen the early screening and anxious to see it again, I can confirm a couple things about this unwarranted IGN score... One, this guy's description of the plot is not inaccurate, but his characterization of the plot sounds EXTREMELY biased and lacking context of the franchise. It's like he expected a deep, multi-layered plot when what the fans (and future fans) really need is a fresh start that everyone can grasp right away. This movies does that well, far better than a "5"... Two, the "McGuffins" this guy talks about are not that at all. Every tangible piece of lore has significance to the story and the greater verse, and is incorporated in a way that makes sense. When you see the movie, you'll see even Steve has a somewhat major role, which is no less than brilliant IMO... And finally in regard to B-127 screen-time, the amount of focus on each character makes sense when you consider this is the first of a trilogy. More characters will get shine over time which becomes obvious by the end of the movie, but each main character gets enough development to let people decide who to fanboy over if they chose. My daughter saw it with me and has no connection to the franchise prior, but now she loves Elita and Bee as well as the franchise as a whole... I'll stop there and sorry for the long comment but this review kinda pissed me off. Had I not been a fan of the franchise this would have made me miss out on a great experience and I give the film a solid 8.5/10. Not perfect, but exactly what the franchise needs and an all-around great film for old fans and newcomers alike.
The movie is a straight re-skin of 2007 the Bee Movie. Right down to every critical story beat from the Jerry Seinfeld movie. It does not deserve the hype, it’s just an average film.
Yeah, Like 2007 Had a Good Megatron, Had Elita-1, Bumblebee had his voice and had a massive cast. This is coming from someone who’s seen the movie, and it is nothing like 2007, The Allspark wasn’t even mentioned in the movie, and it’s actually Faithful to the Series, So i don’t know what Transformers One you’ve seen, But it’s clearly not the same one I’ve seen.
I'd give the film a 7/10 it's a toy commercial that doesn't break any new ground. It's not selling me on the toys or story, so it wasn't made for me. Certainly, imo average and for me not worth a second viewing whereas I'll still watch 86 maybe once a year.
You're disagreeing with a review before you've even seen the movie? To me, this hurts the credibility of your future reviews more than it hurts IGN. Please, don't encourage groupthink amongst reviewers. I enjoy your content (and still will), so this is disappointing.

Well, I HAVE seen the movie and the review is balls.
The point of the video was to show how IGN strangely has a different opinion than basically everyone else who has seen it. Along with the reasoning behind the rating seeming like the reviewer doesn't know alot about Transformers.
@@Chrisjaam to be honest, I think IGN should do with their reviews after everybody seen it because of how popular they are is everybody will believe IGN and won’t see the movie
Yall agree with this rating❓️❓️❓️
I haven’t seen the movie yet so I can’t form an opinion on it
As someone who saw the movie yesterday, I strongly disagree with IGN's rating
Hell no I haven't seen the movie yet and ign is already ruining it
No I don't, IGN is just being a bunch of hating chucklenuts.
I don't agree with it. IGN was told to review the film... but couldn't even be bothered to do actual research about the characters featured in it. That's just plain lazy. Mind you, these are the same people that said Spider-Man 2 had too much water outside the city of New York.
Wait they blamed insomniac because they accurately put water around the real world city?
The IGN formula: Love what people hate, Hate what people love.
Also, I found a steamer hating on the movie because the characters weren’t enough like their G1 counterparts or something like that, and saying that transformers is doomed because of how bad the movie is going to be. (He has not seen the movie.)
Bro is pulling a Ali Koca💀🙏
Ignorance is what they understand...

The excitement to go watch transformers ONE on imax Wednesday (I missed out last week)
This interesting review from IGN
OR THAT THUMBNAIL….
Yet they have the marvels an 8 out of 10 ign truly hates transformers
No, they hate films that don't bend over backwards for identity politics or badly written girl bosses.
It’s a corporation so they’re going to give it a stale response unlike the fans who know the ins and outs of the franchise
“Hey, IGN. My finger can transform, guess which one. I’m giving you limited options.”
I mean, it's IGN, what were we expecting?
I don’t pay attention to IGN anymore because they are one of THE most unreliable sources.
"This fool is terribly misinformed" Us to Ign
I haven't watch the film going to and seeing everyone's review I am hyped for it.

I've seen it and damn what a fucking movie! I laughed so damn hard and just loved every second of it.
As someone said before...

Same people gave the Marvels and the Flash an 8 😭
And yet their kissing the MCU ass for having shit movies⁉️⁉️⁉️
I saw the early access screening yesterday and I gotta say how the hell do you give that movie a 5/10?

Aren't these the same people saying EA is making good games recently? Their credibility is really going down the drain.
I've seen the movie and 2:30 is the only valid criticism in this bunch tbh
Remember they gave the acolyte an 8
Well, that should’ve been the first warning sign
They gave this a 5 out of 10 but gave she hulk an 8 What is going on with these critics.
I left IGN a kind note for their foolishness.
Know I understand why DOOM Fan’s HATE IGN
Let's be absolutely clear here, they don't like it because it's not full of leftist talking points.

Why would I delete a hot topic in the Transformers community rn when I'm a Transformers channel lol

And in my opinion the people that gives the reviews doesn’t even go and see the movie they just do what they are told
