    My Goodness! That Sportster is set up JUST RIGHT! Bars, V-H 2-in-1 exhaust, mirrors flipped, and the paint job are an awesome combo. I love the AMF paint scheme, especially! THIS is the cleanest newer model 1200 I've seen! 👍🏽

    After years of riding a ZZR1200, following two divorces and selling my last Harley in 2000, I understand what you said about the feeling when you got back on "your" bike, the Sportster.
    I recently bought an Electra Glide Ultra Classic and I'm in the zone myself now. Its like a new girlfriend, I can't seem to get off of her.

    Very nice bike, looks and sounds great, i suppose this is a good example of harley saying they listen to their customers, because this is a look alot of us have been doing ourselves, including 883 /1200 upgrades, will definatly benefit from a full stage one, the FP3 is moor end user focused with blue tooth to phone ect.

    I love The Iron 1200 but the issue I had when I sat on one was the foot controls. Per your vlog they moved them forward for you which is great. Having the knowledge that the foot controls can be moved forward I may have to take a second look at the bike. Keep up the great vlogs and congrats on the new bike.

    Very good bike, they did well making the iron 1200, you are the best in reviewing bikes, but still disagree with regarding the handle bars, i believe the mini ape is more suitable for this bike in particular than the drag bar, good choice with the forward control but have a question why not to try the forward mid controls if you know what i mean, they can be positioned in between the forward and the mid

    • @Motonewbrider

    I’ve had this bike for about 2 months now twisted cherry with v&H big radius pipes and high flow air intake with FP3 installed but bike is very underpowered I think this was my first Harley and I think it will be my last . There beautiful bikes but for the price I think I’ll stick to metrics.

    • @mohammedabbasdar
      @mohammedabbasdar 6 лет назад

      Abel Vasquez would never recommend a Sportster to anyone. Always start with one of the old Dyna’s or now the new Softails. The sportsters and half decent bikes for the short term but nothing long term.

    • @Motonewbrider
      @Motonewbrider  6 лет назад

      Abbas Dar I think the sportster is part of the journey on the HD range - the UK has over 6,000 active sportster riders, some of which have moved to v-twins and gone back to a sporty. However it’s all personal preference.

    • @mohammedabbasdar
      @mohammedabbasdar 6 лет назад

      Motonewbrider definitely personal preference. My riding instruction told me to buy a bike that I’ll grow into rather one that I’ll grow out of... I grew out of my Sporty within the first 6 months of riding. Personally preference would 100%!

    • @Motonewbrider
      @Motonewbrider  6 лет назад

      Abbas Dar my instructor told me not to buy a harley 😂😂😂

    • @davemaxx200
      @davemaxx200 6 лет назад

      Motonewbrider
      Sounds like you both had bad instructors, lol,
      Sportsters look good sound good and run circuls round efatlumps.
      i'm just as enthusiastic about my 48 as the day i bought it a few years ago, i think they are very much an enthusiasts brand, and moor a case of the bike growing into me , with all the time and changes made "" i know would fund a second hand hyper sports bike"" having owned them as well.
      An easily tameable bike doesnt mean not fast or powerful.
      No disrespect to Abbas Dar and Abel Vasques but in the UK there are a lot of sports bike riders have imagined themselves a centre lane no rules race track.
      As for second hand old "straight" dyna compared to new and tuned sportster, ""debatable""
      Old dyna motor or new M8 motor and overlooking the sportster motors ""why?

    @JasonV8S550 6 лет назад +1

    Conrats on the new bike, I have the same exhaust; in a world of short shots it stands out and it produces noticeably more power. Just a question, why did you go with the Iron? You’ve changed the bars and put forwards on, the 48 has a better front end.

    • @Motonewbrider
      @Motonewbrider  6 лет назад

Looking to possibly switch to these bars with a 1/4 fairing on the front to make it more of a club style bike. I also bought a 2018 Iron 1200 and I was wondering why you can lean that far in the corners? Certainly with forward controls I thought the ground clearance was not so good? Mine will be delivered next week with V&H short shots but I’m a bit worried the lean angle will be not as good as yours?

    I am so confused as to why you would even want to ride a sporty after feeling the beast of the low rirder s 117.

      GamerDann I was going to write the same thing until I saw this. We’re all so curious as to why would one downgrade and please be honest bud, was it affordability or was it just being part of the Sportster sickness group again?

      Hi fella, think you may of missed one of my vlogs a month back. I explain that I’m now a ambassador for Shaw’s so I had the opportunity to have a bike from them. On top of this I have no need for two bikes. Nothing to do with affordability - more to do with opportunity with Shaw’s and riding more with SSUK. Hope that makes sense 👍

      to be honest that makes sense, nothing will beat that 117 roar though!
