I also want to insulate my doors. Is that possible without taking everything apart? or does that differ per model and year? Can I reach enough by simply raising the panel slightly?
There is a guide that says you can get away with only detaching the glass, but not completely disassembling the lock and the handle. Essentially, there is a tape on the edge of the door card, that holds the locking mechanism to the door card and if you cut you can leave the lock and the handle attached to the door. It's not the perfect solutions but definately better than detaching everything from the door.
The inside handle snapped on my car and I need to change it. Thank you for the guide. Looks like a fairly long job!
This must be a common problem on these great advice next time I will try to fix myself 👍👍

Perfect description, tnx:)!
I want to insulate my doors. Can I access it without having to disassemble the entire door? for example by leaving the glass and door handle in place?
Great help - thanks - will be doing that today - cheers
Do not dissasemble the entire door to replace the handle.. it is a terrible headace to return everything after.
