As of this post I am on day 5 of cold turkey after being an opiate addict for 13 years. I have never gone beyond 3 days sober in those 13 years. I recently asked Jesus directly, fully believing He would answer my cry, to remove the addiction from my body. Not the withdrawals, because I'm a thick skulled Italian and need severe punishment to learn a lesson, but I could have as easily asked Him to remove these as well, and I know He would have done it for my sake, and yours. Jesus heals those who ask Him directly with humility, a contrite heart, and broken spirit. If anyone lacks faith needed to be healed, ask The Lord to help you with your unbelief, and He will prove Himself as the Son of the Living God to you. I promise you will doubt no more.
You are in my prayers brother. Proud of you for seeking Jesus for this. He is the BEST friend of sinners, and the ultimate healer. I too have been blessed in a similar situation of addiction. God loves you. I love you. Stay focused on the one true king! God has got you! Hallelujah!

Okay so this comment is meant to inspire anyone who'll spend his/her time to read. I'm an incoming senior high student from the Philippines (16 year-old) and I just finished my junior high. But, the thing is we don't have enough money for my tuition fee. I was praying to Him and believed that He's our Provider! A month later, a much cheaper school where I decided to transfer to has offered us a huge discount/voucher from the government. I can't believe it that the Lord is really with us. Then after a day, the most prestigious school in our place has contacted my mom and offered me scholarship for my senior high school years and gave special discount to my sibling as well. THE LORD IS ALIVE!!! TOGETHER WE RAISE A HALLELUJAH! HE'S IN CONTROL. We rest and have peace amidst uncertainty because of the certainty of WHO HE IS.
Thats exactly what happens when you take up the cross to follow Jesus. Stay on that path. God will give you the strength. The uphill is worth the destination ;)
TT what are you talking about you don’t have to be miserable to be saved ... I guess it just depends on how you interpret that verse but your teaching wrong . Because there are many that aren’t saved and the reason why the verse says it’s narrow because there is only one way to god and many people claim they are Christians but not many accept Jesus in their heart there is a difference God gives your joy when you follow him just like he’s given me .. I believe he’s saved I pray you aren’t miserable

I am praying for you and your mother I am studying Genesis and in the part with lot and Abram Lot had moved into Sodom and was caught up in a war and taken. Even though Lot had disobeyed and moved into that Wicked City without hesitation Abram gathered his three hundred and something people and went to battle against four armies to recover his nephew who had disobeyed God's laws and then after Abram didn't even scream and yell at him he just rejoiced that God had literally won the battle for him. Family is so important regardless of their choices or sins we don't have to be okay with their sins in fact we should not be okay with sin but we are commanded by Jesus to love them it's just so beautiful that you are loving God and loving the second chance with your mom

About 4 years ago I was in a very dark situation mentally. I wasn't a Christian then but I listened to this song many many times and it gave me comfort. Now I've been a Christian for 10 months and I really know that Grace will lead me home. Thank you for this song and God bless you.

I won’t deny that grace actually lead me home. I listened to this song 2 years ago, it was one of the most difficult times In my life but this song helped me get through it. It gave me hope, I only had to keep believing that’s Gods grace would lead me home, so I’m thankful❤️🌹 to a God and I find it a blessing to have someone like David Dunn doing what he’s doing. I won’t deny that grace actually lead me home. I listened to this song 2 years ago, it was one of the most difficult times In my life but this song helped me get through it.
