Suggestion to simplify things: use either Clefable or Reuniclus with Magic Guard ability and skill swap. This ability prevents any recoil damage, so you don’t have to use flame body/lighting rod/ghost type Pokémon. And since you can skill swap it onto the target, you’re free to swap into your false swiper If you’re specifically dealing with Memento, then I personally prefer Gallade with False Swipe, Hypnosis, Imprison, and Memento For explosions, I use Golduck with Damp and Skill Swap. If you’re going in blind and want to be EXTRA sure, Eject Button Imposter Ditto is easy mode.
I love this! I just completed my shiny shiny hunting team with Kingambit, Golduck with Damp, Clefable with Magic Guard and Skill Swap for recoil, Breloom, Trevenant, and Basculegion for water-based mass outbreaks!
2 pokemon that could be useful for ur squad is Toedscruel for Mycelium Might spores, and my personal fave role compression catcher is Iron Valiant with tera ghost. Taunt, trick, false swipe, hypnosis. U use trick to trick a ring target a ghost type so u can hit it with flase swipe and hypnosis is to sleep grass types. This is also really useful for hunting poltchageist
6:45 I hate to be that person, but I don't think Soak prevents explosions. It changes the target's type to pure Water if it succeeds instead. You're thinking of Damp, an ability. If you want a Damp mon you're looking for Quagsire (which can be bred down from the in-game trade without DLC) and Golduck from base game (or Bellibolt if you want HA, which I DID NOT KNOW before looking it up!), or the Poliwag line from Kitakami (either form works). The IDEAL mon would be Parasect, due to having the impossibly amazing role compression of Spore, False Swipe, AND Damp, but sadly the only game on Switch it has an ability in that it exists in is BDSP (though it exists in PLA, abilities have no effect, with only some species having ability-like effects built in, namely Regigigas and Cherrim). And assuming this goes like SwSh did, we probably won't see Parasect as the Amazing Role Compression, but it's not like using Breloom is a BAD idea by any means!
Another note before I continue: Soak is not, in fact, a bad move to have on a False Swipe mon. By placing Soak on a mon, you do turn them into a pure Water type, thereby enabling you to hit them with False Swipe!
Don’t worry! I realized this as I was rendering video 😭 trained up one of the extra shiny poliwag I caught to politoed so that will be my dedicated damp mon!
Long live Scyther, you were there when we needed you the most. Now it’s time for you to rest 💜 Also great team!! I might have to take some inspo from those builds

@@EternalRadiant o7 And thank you for the tip!! I’ve been looking to make a more versatile shiny hunting team. Right now it only consists of my first shiny Iron Valiant with False Swipe 😅
Its so funny that you named your Breloom Truffle because i named mine Truffles that I hatched in gen 6. Ive also only used Volcarona to harch eggs even in gen 6.
Hey Eternal Radiant today I finally got my jumbo shiny feebas that ive been hunting for a week on phase 69 I also got a shiny ekans as my second shiny in pokemon sleep, love the content keep up the amazing videos.
Legitimately the only Shinies I've ever lost are Gigantamax Pokémon and we all know Gamefreak shoulda made those suckers easier to catch. I've had a good track record, and if bringing this up here somehow breaks my perfect streak through the power of irony then... That... Would... *Certainly suck.*
Just in case anyone plans on recreating the Breloom build, remember that Breloom can't learn Spore, only Shroomish can. You'll have to level the Shroomish to 40 before you evolve, & make sure you never have it unlearn the move, cause it won't be able to get it back if you do
Not sure how far back it goes (pretty sure Breloom has been able to relearn Spore since USUM but regardless, I'm referring strictly to SV in this post) but you actually CAN evolve Shroomish as soon as it's available and go into "Remember Moves" in SV to learn Spore without having to wait.
a lesser known breeding mechanic is that if both parents are the same species (shroomish) and know a move that is learned from levelup (spore), the offspring will be hatched with the move already known and they'll always be able to remember it. That's how you can breed for shinies and not have to worry about remembering to overlevel the shroomish to 40 before evolving. evolve away at lvl 23 or whenever.
Love the video Although due to how i once years ago saw litwick in the anime i don't think i will be giving it a hug anytime soon as i like NOT having the life drained out of me LOL.
Omg! I remember the lumious city loop! I used a playing card to wedge my character into moving. Also, how did you get the champion of paldea mark on your pokemon, is it a renewable mark you can get consistently?
I loved that loop, they need to bring something similar in newer gen games! also yes, the paldea badge is renewable if you constantly beat the academy ace tournament in mesagoza!
15:16 OR a purple Pokeball that helps catch ghost types because they are immune to False Swipe! So many Pokeballs help with water type Pokemon it's ridiculous..
I use these: Gallade for False Swipe Amoongus for Spore Golduck with Damp for Soak, Taunt, and Skill Swap And usually that does the trick. But I also saw someone use: A Smeargle with Spore, Soak, Taunt, and False Swipe, and it was Ghost Tera to avoid a lot of the normal type moves that cause recoil. Not perfect by itself, as you really still need a Pokemon with Damp, but it’s pretty good.
Gholdengo: Blocks Double Edge and most icky status moves. Reflect, Recover, and Thunder wave. A fast Let's Go pokemon, even over water. Grimmsnarl: Prankster is always good. Golduck: Taunt, Disable, Soak, Yawn, and Damp with an ability shield will stop all the mementos and exploders, even Neutralizing Gas Koffing.
For recoil moves, but including brave bird and head smash, you can use a skill swap Reuniclus with magic guard. It'll protect against most accidental deaths
I remember the loop in X, i didn't hatch much eggs back then. I was more into chain fishing and friend safari. I did try radar but i was never good at it.
You should use a golduck with cloud nine (for pokemon that could potentially die to sandstorm) and use it with skill swap (to prevent insomina if need be), soak, and taunt Also a no guard pokemon would be a great help for pokemon with moves like high jump kick and jump kick (as of commenting this the only option for no guard is lycanroc mightnight form with its hidden ability)
Smeargle is the best. Taunt, Spore, Soak, and False Swipe. Technician for ability. Max attack, and silk scarf. Tera ghost. Catches everything outside self-destruct pokemon.
Great theme for a video, I also love the idea of using shiny Pokemon to catch shiny Pokemon. But I only have a Breloom for False Swipe and Spore, and a Talonflame and Coalossal for Flame Body. You’re much more committed than I am.
In 2nd dlc, shiny smeargle with false swipe, taunt, soak and spore/hypnosis. False swipe for you know, taunt for memento and such, soak for ghost types and hypnosis for easier catch
Very late of course, but for head smash and brave bird users i would recommend a magic guard skill swap clefable, max speed, jolly, scarf if you want to be really sure that you're going to outspeed, with Skill Swap, Moonblast, encore, and something else lol.
belibolt gets soak and damp, then breloom for most other things, technician, and scarf for normal dam. then gallade imprison hypnosis momento drain kiss
Is there no way you could condense raichu ceruledge and tatsugiri into a single “magic guard/rock head-skill swap/entrainment” Mon? Would also defend for head smash and brave bird.
So all of my mons typically have the paldea champion and effort ribbons, which are really easy to get. Best friend ribbons take a bit more time to get, so I only give them to shinies I really like!
it really hasnt ever happened to me the only shiny ive ever failed was in infinite fusion where you help porygon (it was a shiny umbreon the dark one and it was pink instead of blue)
Have you considered magic guard skill swap? That might help with recoil move options as mons with magic guard do not take recoil damage from their own moves. I would recommend Clefable for this. Although, I can see speed being an issue if the opponent outspeeds and then uses the recoil move. Learns encore and thunder wave as well. Apologies if this was already suggested or if this is not needed. EDIT: Note, does not stop explosion, curse, and similar moves that would KO itself.
That’s a great solution for recoil moves! To make it efficient do the skill swap first turn, they won’t die that way, then swap in your false swipe pokemon for catching :]
why not use Jolteon in place of Raichu, has volt absorb thunder wave and false swipe also ogerpon (well spring) has both water absorb and false swipe which can cancel out wave crash
Breloom works a lot better with toxic orb poison heal for catching. It prevents the other pokémon from causing status and heals for sustain in long battles. Some people like to run substitute instead of swords dance as well. OH! And give chandeure curse as well, since ghost types can K.O. themselves with it. Also sorry if any of this is literally not possible or needed I haven’t played any of SV 😂 I’m just giving pokemmo knowledge lmao glgl
The amount of people who don't understand you can evolve Shroomish as soon as it's possible and STILL get a Breloom to learn Spore in SV is baffling to me (you can literally go into "Remember Moves" in the Pokemon's status screen to get it).
The only failed shiny I've ever had was a Solrock in Pokémon Go, and I ran away from it as soon as I could not realizing it was shiny and it disappeared Idk if it actually was shiny or not since it happened so fast but I think it was
I am currently beating myself up because I completely forgot about this skill swap harvest berry strategy and beldam only knows I think headbutt and I struggled with it during the DLC, I mean I had the phantump in my box.
I always like to say the best Pokémon game is Pokémon Home because you get to send hunt and send Pokémon from other games back and fort and that makes keep playing them and hunting worth it way more
looks like I need *damp* instead of *soak* LMAOO I trained up a *politoed* for the team off screen that I will use for those explodey doods

Thank you!! I have been enlightened about the hisuian decidueye scrappy tech, need to build one soon haha
Kricketune - Wide Lens
- False Swipe
- Sing
- Taunt
- Screech
The GOAT shiny catcher! (It's not but it's fun to use Kricketune lol)
I love the self awareness haha, sounds like a really fun set
I did something similar to this! But there’s a more efficient way. My core is…
Breloom @ Silk Scarf
Ability: Technician
- Swipe
- Spore
- Worry Seed
- Mach Punch
Golduck @ Eject Button
Ability: Damp
- Soak
- Taunt
- Yawn
- Encore
Gholdengo @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Good as Gold
- Trick
- Memento
- Thunder Wave
- Make It Rain
Hisuian Samurott @ Eject Button
Ability: Sharpness
- Soak
- False Swipe
- Encore
- Taunt
Talonflame/Volcarona
Backline with type immunity abilities and weather setting, if you’re being extra careful with recoil moves and weather damage: Azumarill + Quagsire + Ceruledge
This offers a safe pathway through any encounter with any lead… and fast runners, swimmers, and fliers.
That sounds like an amazing team!!
Your the best like it’s been idk three days LIKE 3 DAYS. The GOAT
Hehe yup, I’ve been grinding :) hope you’ve been enjoying the content!
I realized this as I was rendering video 😭 trained up one of the extra shiny poliwag I caught to politoed so that will be my dedicated damp mon!
also this is an insanely good tip!!@@CybernetCatgirl
Long live Scyther, you were there when we needed you the most. Now it’s time for you to rest 💜
Also great team!! I might have to take some inspo from those builds
we will miss you scyther o7 truly an OG and shiny hunting legend
also go for it! Make sure you get a damp Pokémon as well, that’s one of the few things I’m missing
@@EternalRadiant o7
And thank you for the tip!! I’ve been looking to make a more versatile shiny hunting team. Right now it only consists of my first shiny Iron Valiant with False Swipe 😅
*Encounters a shiny*
Time for my secret technique! Lobbing Luxury Balls until it’s captured.
Based 😭😂
Its so funny that you named your Breloom Truffle because i named mine Truffles that I hatched in gen 6. Ive also only used Volcarona to harch eggs even in gen 6.
Twins :D
The endurance needed for the Dewot hunt
get a smeargle and sketch head smash, brave bird, and imprison! that'll deal with those other two! :D
you need h decidueye for false swiping those ghost types
Soak turns Pokémon intoo water type
Hey Eternal Radiant today I finally got my jumbo shiny feebas that ive been hunting for a week on phase 69 I also got a shiny ekans as my second shiny in pokemon sleep, love the content keep up the amazing videos.
Phase 69….noice 😂 congrats on your shinies!
Never happened to me. They tried, but Save Scumming (fuck explode, all my homies hate hunting Minior) and Quick Balls are hard counters.
Oh no….I salute to you o7 let’s hope you didn’t manifest anything terrible LOL
Is that Katamari on the rocks I hear?
YUPPP
@@exxy9931 Got a shiny breloom without spore and couldn't relearn it in SV, but they actually fixed that when Indigo Disk released.
Love the video
Although due to how i once years ago saw litwick in the anime i don't think i will be giving it a hug anytime soon as i like NOT having the life drained out of me LOL.
I remember that scene o.o thanks for the support :)
Omg! I remember the lumious city loop! I used a playing card to wedge my character into moving. Also, how did you get the champion of paldea mark on your pokemon, is it a renewable mark you can get consistently?
I loved that loop, they need to bring something similar in newer gen games! also yes, the paldea badge is renewable if you constantly beat the academy ace tournament in mesagoza!
always a W when eternal posts, keep up the great work eternal.
appreciate the kind words :D tyty
15:16 OR a purple Pokeball that helps catch ghost types because they are immune to False Swipe! So many Pokeballs help with water type Pokemon it's ridiculous..
I use these:
Gallade for False Swipe
Amoongus for Spore
Golduck with Damp for Soak, Taunt, and Skill Swap
And usually that does the trick.
But I also saw someone use:
A Smeargle with Spore, Soak, Taunt, and False Swipe, and it was Ghost Tera to avoid a lot of the normal type moves that cause recoil.
Not perfect by itself, as you really still need a Pokemon with Damp, but it’s pretty good.
That shiny shroomish wasn't even from the sandwich
my false swiper is my garchomp with swords dance(for those pesky normal type resists)
Trevenant, my good friend. He was the best SOS Hunter in USUM.
your team is so heavy on fire types, and ghost types
Bro I love the videos, been here since day 1 ❤
Glad to have you :))
Love ur vids but quick question u stream in yt or twithc
twitch! but thinking about making the switch haha
For recoil moves, but including brave bird and head smash, you can use a skill swap Reuniclus with magic guard. It'll protect against most accidental deaths
Always love the content, keep it up ❤
Will do! Thank you for the kind words!
I remember the loop in X, i didn't hatch much eggs back then. I was more into chain fishing and friend safari. I did try radar but i was never good at it.
Are you me? I had the exact experience but in Y... I don't think I'll ever get the hang of radar.😭
You should use a golduck with cloud nine (for pokemon that could potentially die to sandstorm) and use it with skill swap (to prevent insomina if need be), soak, and taunt
Also a no guard pokemon would be a great help for pokemon with moves like high jump kick and jump kick (as of commenting this the only option for no guard is lycanroc mightnight form with its hidden ability)
I used a talonflame named Sam for most of my early shiny hunting myself in x. Makes me happy thinking back.
Glad to hit you with the nostalgia feels too :)
Noctowl, Decidueye, Mew and Galarian-Moltres and -Articuno all learn brave bird + imprison. You could use protect + disable for head smash.
Oooh nice tech
Babe wake up EnternalRadiant uploaded a new Pokemon video
Moon :D
Eternal :D
I call my shiny raid Breloom Mario, and a normal one with false swipe Luigi.
Great video as always
thank you!!
Thank you so much!!! That’s still a great team, breloom and talonflame carry for most of the hunts
The dewott catch scene had me cracking up
In 2nd dlc, shiny smeargle with false swipe, taunt, soak and spore/hypnosis.
Got a shiny rolycoly full odds no shiny charm no sandwich 🎉
GIVE THEM ALL THE TREASURE HUNTER MARK
Da shiny squad boutta go Brazy u gotta give them like stats I think it would be funny to see how many shinies they got u
Ooh good idea!! I’ll keep track of this from here on out haha
Omg i had a trevenant with that build back in usum! Good memories
Charcadette’s shiny line is an affront to all Pokémon fans. Even a pallet swap would have been better than what they gave us
Nooooo Scyther!!!
Save my mans 😭😭
o7 gone but not forgotten!
When I saw the OT name of your scizor I realized we both have the same name 😆😆
Oof, that Dewott seemed annoying. Congrats on finally catching it.
Thank you! That bugger didn’t wanna get caught 😭
Hey! i also named my Ceruledge Azula!!!
belibolt gets soak and damp, then breloom for most other things, technician, and scarf for normal dam. then gallade imprison hypnosis momento drain kiss
Is there no way you could condense raichu ceruledge and tatsugiri into a single “magic guard/rock head-skill swap/entrainment” Mon? Would also defend for head smash and brave bird.
biggest flex was i battled a shiny abra in gen 7 and acc caught it
and shiny phantump in 60 eggs
MY BOY SAMUROTT AAAAAAAA YAY
BEST HISUIAN STARTER
@@EternalRadiant YES SIRRRRRR
you may need sap sipper or some immunity to grass for those recoil moves
someone thought i was watch gy crn because of your shiny hunting reactions, thanks.
I Js wanna ask, which ribbons do u give your mons. Also banger vid as usual. I use a shiny iron valiant as my shiny catcher
So all of my mons typically have the paldea champion and effort ribbons, which are really easy to get. Best friend ribbons take a bit more time to get, so I only give them to shinies I really like!
@@EternalRadiant ty ty
Man, dewott's shiny reminds me of a sodas color scheme but couldn't put my finger on it
😂😂😂
@@EternalRadiant Don't worry, I will find that soda real quick
@EternalRadiant It's like a mix between Baja blast and purple thunder flavors combined into one like "Baja thunder"? (mountain dew)
My breloom
Is iron valiant but your breloom is just as good😎
Would love to see an updated version with DLC 2 included
Hold up, LET HIM COOK ( some shines )
I named my shiny female breloom Amanita
it really hasnt ever happened to me the only shiny ive ever failed was in infinite fusion where you help porygon (it was a shiny umbreon the dark one and it was pink instead of blue)
Whoever thought it would be a good idea to make Charizard be unable to learn False Swipe while the other two can has upset me.
My first shiny in arceus was a riolu
Oh yeah, the best team, until an explosion or self-destruct works just fine cause soak does nothing xD
That intro hits too close to home 😭yesterday a lost a random shiny throh in swsh to my effect spore procing toxic before i could spore
NOOOOO 😭😭😭 that’s truly painful
Breloom works a lot better with toxic orb poison heal for catching. It prevents the other pokémon from causing status and heals for sustain in long battles. Some people like to run substitute instead of swords dance as well. OH! And give chandeure curse as well, since ghost types can K.O. themselves with it.
Also sorry if any of this is literally not possible or needed I haven’t played any of SV 😂 I’m just giving pokemmo knowledge lmao glgl
I have been here ever since 4k
I used to do the lumiose trick to get Pokémon to level 100, only diffidence is I used a coin.
R.I.P Scyther 😔
we'll never forget him o7
@@EternalRadiant o7
Can you recommend a vid for mass outbreak hunting in Arceus? I don’t know what permutations are.
The amount of people who don't understand you can evolve Shroomish as soon as it's possible and STILL get a Breloom to learn Spore in SV is baffling to me (you can literally go into "Remember Moves" in the Pokemon's status screen to get it).
the W in Dewott belongs to the de part. as in dew. Dew Otter
It just happened to me with shiny seedot
Id have at least 1 heal pulse for Brave Bird and head smash
Good call! Ima give it to my blissey haha
Scrappy hisuian decidueye is my answer for hitting ghost types with false swipe
The only failed shiny I've ever had was a Solrock in Pokémon Go, and I ran away from it as soon as I could not realizing it was shiny and it disappeared
Idk if it actually was shiny or not since it happened so fast but I think it was
I am currently beating myself up because I completely forgot about this skill swap harvest berry strategy and beldam only knows I think headbutt and I struggled with it during the DLC, I mean I had the phantump in my box.
Did anybody else notice he said “day Wott”???
I always like to say the best Pokémon game is Pokémon Home because you get to send hunt and send Pokémon from other games back and fort and that makes keep playing them and hunting worth it way more
Problem: Pokmon Home isn’t a “game” 😅
@@testerwulf3357 then how i manage to put 20+ hours in it? 😅... it has a couple of achievemenyts tho
I just got a tera-ghost Golduck with Damp, that usually does the trick for me
