So very glad to see the Engi Open World builds over here. Spear-Scrapper was something I was experimenting with and I'm glad to see this build. Also happy that we have great open world builds that don't need to rely on grenades.
They can absolutely split the balance changes between all the modes, but i wish they would stop making changes for pve for the top 5% of players that can actually do the stupid amounts of damage. Love the video, i do like power builds for more trash mobs that dont need the tons of survivability for
If they made it so it gave some Might instead of Cripple, you would no longer need the Daze to trigger the Relic of the Midnight King and you would be able to replace it for the new Relic of Rivers for some sweet Alacrity + Regeneration.
this might be an odd question but what class would you recommend for someone who can only use a single hand? I want to play this game but I can't play very well due to only being able to use my right hand, I've tried looking up strong solo-pve builds but everything I've been checking on meta-battle requires either a huge amount of skill or extremely good use of dodges which I find very difficult to do as I cannot move around very much and press hotkeys and the mouse.
i hope if the future you may post the most up to date build links to all the builds, don't need a full explanation of them, but i think it would be helpful to see all the best builds each update at least if multiple classes are changing. would be extra helpful, then if people want they can go find the specific video for it for rotations and such. again, thanks for your time with these, i love these builds, has made me a lot better in open world
All the builds that are up to date are linked in my discord server in the pinned messages like i always mention, if anything was changed or nerfed too hard I either update it or remove it from the discord pinned messages.
I've heard that Cele is or was getting nerfed along with Necro heal... I don't keep up with this stuff, I probably should though, I'm just too busy playing the game. Looks like I'm going to be updating a few of my builds. Thank you Lord Hizen. Cheers :)

So, in other words, ANet went through all the trouble and expense to create a new weapon ... and then nerfed the only use-cases where switching to Spear would actually have been worth the bother. Classic.
I wonder how many times a player sees a nearby HP champ's health bar melting, think there must be a HP train running, rush over to join, and just see the one dude wiping his blade clean in front of the champ's corpse.
Hey Hizen. Great content as always. What are the main differences between Cele deadeye dagger and Cele deadeye spear? In terms of APM (spammy) and the damage difference that puts dagger on top. Is it that superior?... Was looking for the numbers and could. Nor find them. Salamu alaykum, bro ❤
spear deadeye damage is less than dagger, and requires more attention to the rotation loop. meanwhile dagger only spamming skill 3 for big damage and skill 4 to cleave mobs from range.
I don't have Janthir yet, so I'm curious if your specifically Spear Holosmith can easily substitute its weapons at all. Any suggestions, or should I just look at your other, older, Holo builds? Thx!!
Thanks for the new builds. Very very nice as usual. But TBH, I get confused by the incremental update videos referring to your older videos for most specs. I for one could really use a recap of ALL your recommended builds and rotations (even just as a text from your latest updates). It’s difficult to follow the flow of past videos and patch balance updates. A fresh recap would be awesome.
The reason I don't talk about the old builds that didn't change, that i already recapped all of them in previous videos. Thats why i showed those videos thumbnails so you can check them out from the channel

That said, if you could consider adding a list of older-yet-still-accurate builds (and rotations) in each new video, that would be tremendously useful for those who get confused by the balance patch lasagna. I guess it`s time that ArenaNet finally made it possible for Necro to control all of his minions the way Ranger can control a single pet or the Mechanist can control his mech. That`s imo is more important than any so-called "balance patch".

@@MrJueKa I do whenever I have to do the aquatic ruins fractals because almost all my characters are useless underwater. I can't play my healers underwater because they can't use their mandatory healing weapons underwater, can't even provide their boon underwater because half the tools needed for that are unuseable underwater. And my condition mesmer is absolute trash because the mesmer trident is the most garbage underwater weapon of all with the auto doing a feeble 1s of bleeding.
I'm kinda new to the game and I see that in most of these builds you sit in one weapon. Is this how they play on any content? Specially the Warrior and Revenant. I don't like weapon swaping. I play ffxiv and wow so I don't have a problem dealing with lots of buttons, it's tracking another 'invisible bar' during swap that triggers me.
Weapon swapping is a bit complicated in my opinion, at least to learn at first. While swapping is frequently useful on any class, some classes require it more than others and others can do without swapping a little more easily. Historically, I've struggled with weapon swapping and have learned to make do with the simplicity of just one weapon but I do admit that my gameplay is usually better when I do incorporate swaps. Also, you are able to use the same weapon type in both weapon swap places. For example, Mirage will often swap back and forth between two Staffs (plenty of options but this is just one example) to maximize the alacrity boon you get from the Staffs Mirage Ambush skill, so it may look like Hizen is only using one weapon, in reality he's just swapping two of the same weapons. And welcome to the game btw :) I hope this helps answer your question, if not, feel free to let me know lol
if you're playing casually weapon swap wont be a big issue. different weapons servere different purposes and can be used for different situations. but if you intent do play more pvp or endgame stuff weapon swap will be very important not only because of the skill cooldowns

You say that you want to stick to a single class, trust me, you won't. But if you insist, always pick a utility focused class like Mesmer, Engi, Revenant or Guardian. They can make up for almost any shortcomings in their initial kit by virtue of utility.
For Revenant: Woudnt it be better to play dual spear to use the extra swap damage from the 5? And even more of the damage seems to come from Torment, what about Rune of Torment instead of Trapper?
The damage you speak of from swapping I believe it's a bug "not sure tho" And yet I recommend using shortbow as 2nd off-hand weapon, incase you need to fight from range. The torment rune will overcap the duration + less condition damage stat.
@@LordHizen "Unleashes an Abyssal Raze when swapping weapons at maximum stacks." I didnt even know there was a bug, just thought about this sentence. With the Torment Rune one could replace the Infusions to almost get the same amount of Condi Dmg back (maybe even 5/1 rune split for +25 Condi Dmg and no othercap) for a total of slightly more Torment Duration for a bit less other condi durations PS: Just saw, i build this way ingame because Pact of Pain doesnt seem to be reflected in the ingame stats and so it was a pretty much 55% base condi duration in the Hero Menu. Thats why i overcapped 🤔

I think they kinda went the wrong direction with nerfs. They should bring everything up to Guardian spear and balance everything from there. In two weeks the rev spear went from being fun to a major disappointment and changing back to previous weapons.
I started playing this game like 3 days ago... I'm level 36... It's painful to walk around without a mount. To get something you need to buy expansions, simple mechanics like trading. Come on... I'm going back to Eso...
I wish balancing was absolutely split between pvp/wvw and pve. No balance change aimed at pvp content should even touch pve content and same for the other way around. There sinply isn't a way to balance anything perfectly for all 3 modes while maintaining the same mechanics in all of them.
@@Sac-chanit depends on how its coded Some things can be seperated and others not Example: autoattack on rev greatsword could formerly hit 5 targets. It was a problem so they reduced it to 3 and because they could not differentiate between game modes (because coding) it was changed in pve as well. But then the dmg modifiers can be changed separately in the game modes... Pretty complicated and thats also why the devs made some things extra hard for themselves 😅
I think you might be getting your wish. In the Oct 8 patch preview I believe it was stated that new tech is being implemented that increases the game mode balance split. At least, I think that's what they said (I could be misunderstanding).
I’ve been a holosmith main in wvw for last couple months and launch of Janthir they low key did small nerfs to couple skill traits… super annoying since you have thief’s with infinite invis and willbender teleporting everywhere but they nerf holosmith that has barely any mobility or easy way to get out of combat

They could easily make up for these nerfs by merely increasing slightly auto-attack damage.
The change to dagger mirage was really unfortunate. I wish they would have kept the daze for pve

Necro. It has a lot of options and playstyles. Guardian is pretty good too

the red signal means you need to stand still to inflict damage, it will miss if you move.

Personal Preference, in my opinion, i will pick mechanist since it has higher damage and has a pet that tanks for you.
