This is dumb. Crowds are just players who decided to show up. And as wel all know, CSGO players > Valorant players. Therefore, CSGO crowds > Valorant crowds.
unfortunately in all VCT (valorant's majors) streams the crowd noise is always suppressed, you can hear the full noise of the crowd on some of the in-person costreamer's streams. I noticed this when on the official VCT stream the crowd sounded quiet while on Tarik's stream you could barely hear him speak over the crowd during VCT Lock In
The thing is, that the stadiums for the current Kick off events (besides Pacific as always) are super small as well. The Americas kick off looks like a internet Caffè while pacific has a pretty bug stadium. It's weird to me
I've been playing cs since 1.1 or 1.2 and I've never played valorant but you can't compare a Japanese crowd to a Brazilian crowd, with the utmost respect to both cultures and countries, you're comparing the most well mannered, well behaved public to the most passionate and party happy people. Even if you compare the crowds in the same sport, like football or f1, the Japanese are going to be enthusiastic but reserved and the Brazilians will be energetic and going crazy. The other valorant crowd looks like what a crowd at a tournament of 1.6 or GO would look like 10 to 15 years ago, when the scene started to move away from totally wild Lans to a more professional, legitimate E-sport. Plus the crowd was smaller, you get a small cs event and the crowd will be tame too, ie. when they play in Malta, where between 8 and 50 ppl show up for normal games and the final pulls in 200.
the crazy abilities and the sensory overload causes dopamine levels to go to a new peak and when the basic stuff happens like someone getting a kill, even though you may receive a dopamine hit, you will be nowhere near that peak
I was at VCT LOCK//IN final in São Paulo. The crowd obviously gets more intense just by being brazil other than europe, u know? But I feel that even by this factor, the crowd could get more intense. Im a shy guy, but when it comes to competitive sports, I support like a true fanatic, to Man. United, to BR Valorant teams, to my college team matches and etc. And I felt that the ppl around me was just shy to get the fucking ass off the chair and scream for their team. I was crazy screaming for LOUD at each good round and I asked myself: am I over reacting, am I the crazy guy right there or these people just never got to a stadium before? like ppl, cmon stand up and support our team. You can see me standing up and screming bad words after a decisive point for LOUD in the stream VOD xD
and yeah, BTW, the auctor of the video could just search more for valorant crowds other than just typing in the youtube search bar for... valorant crowds
and, nAAAh, that cassidy effect its not really whats going on, Valorant still has some true abilities to show off and get the crowd hyped. More than CS? of course not, but still has.
That's why I love being Brazilian, here our fans are always absurd when there are Brazilians playing, we always have a huge and beautiful party to watch, whatever sport it is...
CS has had decades to develop their history and fans. Valorant has only had 3 years and only one with crowds due to the global pandemic. Comparing modern Valorant to modern CS simply isn't fair, but regardless, both are doing just fine.
this is 100% what i was thinking, i will now be attending every Valorant tourney with a trumpet and my country flag on my back. time to make these crowds so much more entertaining
I'm a valorant player tbh i don't get the comparison. Like for one valorant has a goddamn story and the skill of it's agents are explainable. just because it is fps it doesn't mean generally that it is the same with cs:go, if there's one that should be compared with cs:go it is crossfire, every time I see any cs:go going "valorant sucks because of skills cs:go better" I'm like dude it's meant to be like that it's even the reason some cs:go pros decided to fcking switch.
Exactly. Csgo has like over 20 years worth of fanbase. The comparison lacks. And im a 100% CSGO fan but one day it will be like that in valorant events aswell.
@@Crypted542csgo pros switch because they could find an opportunity to win on valorant tournaments when it came out. other reason is because they were just not too skilled enough to face against the top best team and players. and it has been a few months since cs2 announcement, and considerable amount of former csgo pros are returning. the switch is switching back.
Also worth mentioning that the reason Valo has way less memorable reaction moments as of now is because when the Val Esports scene first started it was during COVID, so we're only now getting big LAN tournaments, meanwhile CS has had them for over a decade.
Fun fact, every CS tournament sounds like that. I will admit, Valorant crowds do have some loud moments, but not nearly as many. (Source: I’ve been to both)
6 screens actually make sense. It's all about crowd distance, if you're far back, you naturally align your vision with the biggest screen since it's bigger and higher up, lines up perfectly. Vise versa, the closer you are the smaller and lower the screen is so you won't break your neck looking up
Honestly most of it is just that CS:GO is super easy to understand. It’s hard to tell if something is impressive in Valorant because of all those flashy abilities. When played well each character is going to look completely different. In CS we know EXACTLY what impressive gameplay looks like and it makes it way more easy to get excited because every single person in the crowd knows exactly what they’re looking at.
I've been lucky enough to attend a game for at least one of all the major sports in America. CS crowds aren't as loud just because of the difference in attendance but man is everyone in that building passionate and screaming their head off.
I will say Japanese crowds are supposed to be very polite even if they feel excited, so someone can be performing a hype song and the Japanese crowd will just sit and watch
I literally got into csgo because I was watching a streamer watch a tournament. It was so hype and I loved every second of it. I was glued to my screen like usually I have shit on second monitor but watching it I put it on main screen with no gaming nothing just stream.
Why are we all overlooking the two main reasons? I dont Get it. 1: Csgo tournaments, players and teams have competed for years, and people have been watching for a long time. 2: Csgo tournaments literally serve alcohol, and 50% of the people hyping are drunk off their asses
its not like valorant crowds are banned to do so or i dont think that it is. Also Its been 3 years since valorant release if it cant stay relevant with people it wont last long
@@B4SS1L1SK bro there were no crowds until 1 year ago, and also YES they are definitely not allowed to drink alcohol in the venue. this is riot we are talking about
I loved the crowds when the old Virtus Pro with Polish players was playing. Legit after every single kill, the polish fans were cheering like they are gonna destroy the whole building.
Its funny how Japan is the most hype Valorant crowd, when they put so much afford and value on constantly being humble and respectful, trying not to bother others. And i get what the other guy said. Valorant is like a michael bay movie. You need calm before the storm in a way.

the thing is its also about the teams, the most hype team was paper rex, they always did something goofy they always played goofy stuff like that, but every other team just walks on stage, pose and plays, but for some reason teams like paper rex or sentinals when they had dapr, always gets hated on
it’s pretty simple why csgo has better crowds, the games just been out longer and has a larger more dedicated fan base. compare that with valorant which only came out on 2020. It’s the same with any type of entertainment. It’s actually pretty impressive that valorant already has crowds this big. give val a couple years and maybe you’ll have the crowd going into stripper mode after a killjoy turret is placed down.
Well that's not really fair because even the old csgo crowds were pretty good and you shouldn't really count the time but more the popularity and valorant is pretty popular and a decent game too.
@@trisfaleelI would argue time plays a heavy part for popularity and therefore crowds. How would a game that is only be 3 years old be have the same level of dedication and expressiveness as one that’s been 11. Not to mention the fan base of csgo are generally more older. crowds have been very more expressive about it since they been involved in the competitive scene for longer.
@@trisfaleel old csgo crows were pretty good because there was no other game that has such a big fanbase, csgo basically made the fps shooter genre in game tournaments explode. csgo has had way more time and way more of an advantage due to its simplicity. csgo portrays something that could and almost has happened in real life, while valorant is completely made up, which makes it harder to both develop and come up with. CSGO has had more time to grow its crowd and popularity, and that's just how it is

i think it is just the fact that Valorant is a new game (came out 2021) and the E-sports scene is just not so old that the crowd is not as big as the ones in CSGO
Just recently I saw an out of this world ace from TS Jremy in Valorant, if that was with a live crowd, I think the stadium would've erupted. Also, you have to take into consideration the what kind of event that is? Which country the event was held? Which team was playing? Or, who's gameplay was showcased on that big screen? A lot of factors has to be taken into consideration if we're going to judge crowd reaction. I don't understand why people has to put drama between 2 games, can't they coexist together without the fanbase going for each other's throat?
It because people who watches valorant are actually normal people. They’re not hardcore gamers and they just enjoy the game. I know csgo crowd is wild but you know those people ain’t no normal 💀

csgo crowds already old and have their own lives and families, you are a virgin playing inferior cartoon game. Even washed up csgo players move there to actually win something
you should do this again after val master tokyo, japan crowds at this time still had mask mandates and they aren't allowed to shout or cheer inside closed venues, that has been lifted at the start of 2023
In valorant, the abilities and skill ceilings make the game so unpredictable. Which is why the reactions after one entry frag so mild, because everything can change in an instant and turn in the opposite teams favor.
Very late to this video but theres only been like 3.5 international tournaments with a crowd in val. (The half is masters Copenhagen where im pretty sure there were still heavy restrictions as to how many people could attend, and they only had crowds for like the last 4 matches)
in my opinion of why the crowds are so different is the age of CS, people are much more passionate and most of them are not from the US which means they probably are fans of Football and those people are the best for crowds. Like, look at VCT Lock/in Sao Paulo the Brazilians were great crowd
Speaking as an OW player, it feels really weird to hear people say that Valorant is a fast/action-packed/ADD game. OW is the game for 2-second attention spans and we know it. Valorant feels like so slow in comparison just because action is so spread out. As to the "Cassidy effect," we find moments like that interesting because normally the moment someone uses high noon, everyone is somehow behind a wall and also you just die because you have to stand still, so seeing more than a single high noon elim is actually kinda wild. It's fine to have crazy moments when all of your moments are at least a little bit crazy.
i agree, but these theres some crowds in vlr that go abusolute crazy, like VCT lock in in brazil, whenever there was a brazilian team playing it was a different atmophesre to the crowd
As a Valorant player that has been playing the game since it first came out, I genuinely prefer to attend a csgo/cs2 tournement than a Valorant tournment, althought the Valorant crowds better nowadays, CS just feels like im watching football, while i prefer the mecanics from valorant, CS is just beautiful to watch, thank god im going to the Blast open Spring finals
If you have ever been to a concert in Japan, you know the type of people that go to Valorant events. They are silent. During a Japanese concert, 99% of the time you won't hear a singular word from the crowd. It feels the same with Val. Though in Japan it is pure respect. It feels the same way for Valorant... Besides NA kick-off currently where people just scream the exact position of the last player standing on a Team. Good thing you can't hear it as a player
Its not that hard to understand why CSGO crowd is wild .... Cause CSGO its the equivalent of football in FPS Games , you cant reinvent football ,we all know how hard is this game and how skilled you are need to be, to be the best , also the toxicity is a big part of the game sometimes its funny sometimes its not but its not censored in CSGO , you can be who you really are without being banned for life like in Valorant . We all love that one Russian\Albenian\Polish\Turkish guy that shout all the game trough is 2$ mic like monkey that's CSGO , thats the vibe of CSGO , you can be who you really are in real life without people judging you or being banned we are all welcomed in CSGO , its like coming back home . Thats why the crowd is wild , cause nobody restrain it. CSGO THE BEST FPS GAME EVER CREATED . Thank you Valve and dont change it ever.

unfortunately in all VCT (valorant's majors) streams the crowd noise is always suppressed, you can hear the full noise of the crowd on some of the in-person costreamer's streams. I noticed this when on the official VCT stream the crowd sounded quiet while on Tarik's stream you could barely hear him speak over the crowd during VCT Lock In
pretty sure the same is the case for cs:go
@@fishtail2616CSGO has bigger stadium and fanbase
@@fishtail2616kinda, they treat it like UFC does, they have crowd sound lowered until they manually raise it to make it more hype
Lmao you sound so old saying that
I was at VCT LOCK//IN final in São Paulo.

LAN tournaments also started last year in Copenhagen, so literally not even a full year as passed by for Valorant LAN tournies
Also worth mentioning that the reason Valo has way less memorable reaction moments as of now is because when the Val Esports scene first started it was during COVID, so we're only now getting big LAN tournaments, meanwhile CS has had them for over a decade.
yeah but this is csgo channel and the guy in this video is the most blind folded person ever
Fun fact, every CS tournament sounds like that. I will admit, Valorant crowds do have some loud moments, but not nearly as many. (Source: I’ve been to both)

you must see the csgo Rio major crowd, those guys are insane
6 screens actually make sense. It's all about crowd distance, if you're far back, you naturally align your vision with the biggest screen since it's bigger and higher up, lines up perfectly. Vise versa, the closer you are the smaller and lower the screen is so you won't break your neck looking up
There's no differences between CSGO crowd and Football crowd, both of them got emotional spirit
when the brazillians made some noise on the vct there, some people called that disrespectful
Honestly most of it is just that CS:GO is super easy to understand. It’s hard to tell if something is impressive in Valorant because of all those flashy abilities. When played well each character is going to look completely different.
In CS we know EXACTLY what impressive gameplay looks like and it makes it way more easy to get excited because every single person in the crowd knows exactly what they’re looking at.
csgo and fighting games, the best esports to watch out of all of them
IEM Melbourne's crowd for not even a big/major event, was so crazy compared to the best valorant reaction lol
Lol the crowd at the Halo championship which was pretty small by comparison was still crazy loud
I've been lucky enough to attend a game for at least one of all the major sports in America. CS crowds aren't as loud just because of the difference in attendance but man is everyone in that building passionate and screaming their head off.
Dota2 and CSGO literally have the craziest crowd
i think maybe the age of the game plays a role cause cs has existed so long many people have more of an emotional connection to the game
I will say Japanese crowds are supposed to be very polite even if they feel excited, so someone can be performing a hype song and the Japanese crowd will just sit and watch
Look at the Brazilian CSGO crowd, it's insane
Tarik forgot that he had an entire stadium in PGL 2018 standing on their feet
Bro saw the least one and said oh yeah this is all valorants player
I literally got into csgo because I was watching a streamer watch a tournament. It was so hype and I loved every second of it. I was glued to my screen like usually I have shit on second monitor but watching it I put it on main screen with no gaming nothing just stream.
Why are we all overlooking the two main reasons? I dont Get it.
1: Csgo tournaments, players and teams have competed for years, and people have been watching for a long time.
2: Csgo tournaments literally serve alcohol, and 50% of the people hyping are drunk off their asses
Free alcohol and can screaming in public to cheer my favorite team or player? Count me in
its not like valorant crowds are banned to do so or i dont think that it is. Also Its been 3 years since valorant release if it cant stay relevant with people it wont last long

it’s pretty simple why csgo has better crowds, the games just been out longer and has a larger more dedicated fan base. compare that with valorant which only came out on 2020.
CSGO has had more time to grow its crowd and popularity, and that's just how it is
@@toiletpaper3487 lol clearly you are young here. This sounds like cope more than anything. Time really doesnt matter, I've been to early LAN of csgo, not even a major, its still hype af. The crowds are just that good. I've been to valorant champion once in Istanbul, its not even as good.
we just gonna ignore this 1:24💀
Japanese casters indeed the best valorant caster out there
Spanish caster are also very good
i think it is just the fact that Valorant is a new game (came out 2021) and the E-sports scene is just not so old that the crowd is not as big as the ones in CSGO
0:10 Litrelly me when my team gets a kill
Going to Iem cologne last year was so amazing
Just recently I saw an out of this world ace from TS Jremy in Valorant, if that was with a live crowd, I think the stadium would've erupted. Also, you have to take into consideration the what kind of event that is? Which country the event was held? Which team was playing? Or, who's gameplay was showcased on that big screen? A lot of factors has to be taken into consideration if we're going to judge crowd reaction. I don't understand why people has to put drama between 2 games, can't they coexist together without the fanbase going for each other's throat?
The thing is though the CS crowd is *always* like this, regardless of venue, event, team, etc.

Valorant crown is like british audience watching cricket, clap then silence.
19+ years vs 3 years .
In valorant, the abilities and skill ceilings make the game so unpredictable. Which is why the reactions after one entry frag so mild, because everything can change in an instant and turn in the opposite teams favor.
Have you ever played Valorsnt for a bit more than 10 hours. Clesrly not cause you dont understand shit about it
Very late to this video but theres only been like 3.5 international tournaments with a crowd in val. (The half is masters Copenhagen where im pretty sure there were still heavy restrictions as to how many people could attend, and they only had crowds for like the last 4 matches)
Europeans are wired for football and Americans for american football and baseball. if my sports were that boring I'd probably be a boring fan too
nice video length
Important thing to note is that FGC crowds go hard on fights
The commentators are hyped for the crowed
9 months later, we were at Madrid on our way to Seoul and then Shanghai, get back to us when cs2 makes it to the other side of Europe at least
and they get mad at brazilian crowds for being more like cs
Wait until they realise that it's Just a french crowd vs non french crowd issue
in my opinion of why the crowds are so different is the age of CS, people are much more passionate and most of them are not from the US which means they probably are fans of Football and those people are the best for crowds. Like, look at VCT Lock/in Sao Paulo the Brazilians were great crowd
Cs have better crowd but these clips are cherry picked
Na crowd is also great don’t forget Boston , Atlanta and Columbus were one of greatest majors of all time.
Brazil crowd was the best in valorant
Speaking as an OW player, it feels really weird to hear people say that Valorant is a fast/action-packed/ADD game. OW is the game for 2-second attention spans and we know it. Valorant feels like so slow in comparison just because action is so spread out. As to the "Cassidy effect," we find moments like that interesting because normally the moment someone uses high noon, everyone is somehow behind a wall and also you just die because you have to stand still, so seeing more than a single high noon elim is actually kinda wild.
It's fine to have crazy moments when all of your moments are at least a little bit crazy.
Its because the same people in eu who play cs, are in the soccer crowds
i agree, but these theres some crowds in vlr that go abusolute crazy, like VCT lock in in brazil, whenever there was a brazilian team playing it was a different atmophesre to the crowd
Ninguém vai torcer pra time gringo aqui no Brasil, igual vocês que também não torce pro times brasileiros 😅
Valorant succeded as a game but the main thing it aimed to defeat csgo in was Esports and that it failed
The entry clip was crazy but normal high ranks could do it even low ranks (but low ranks would die in the first 2 seconds of being in site)

Ngl, i think if you want to get the full espors experience, watch some of the most hype tournaments in csgo. I lost my shit when Cloud 9 won 2018 Boston Eleague tournament.
Context: from what my memory can tell this was the first time Competitive North America won something as big as this tournament. Cloud 9 were not just the underdogs, they were expected to loose by a lot of people and be one of the first to be kicked out. Only then to say "hold my beer" as they went and win the entire tournament. Mind you this is not just an NA thing, Every major team that could qualify was there. It had one of the longest and nail biting grand finals as they kept going into overtime as both FaZe and Cloud 9 refused to give up. With the entire crowd chanting
