Awesome! I had a Bombardier Global 6000 fly right over my house at about 2,000 ft today after taking off from the local airport.. An awesome bird indeed!
Thank you so much for your kind words! The Bombardier Global 7500 is indeed an impressive aircraft, featuring a range of around 7,700 nautical miles (14,260 km) and the ability to fly at speeds up to Mach 0.925. Your support means a lot! 😊✈️
@@MattsAviationChannel tThank you for responding and the details about the Bombardier. Are they made in France 🇫🇷? Ok, I’ll quit asking so many questions 😂. Now I need to get a book on this beautiful jet. My Dad was in the US Navy Air reserve for 18 years and loved planes so our family went to lots of local air shows. I miss him but he left me with a love of planes. Thank you for your channel.
Thank you for your awesome comment, Jerome! The Bombardier Global 7500 is truly impressive, known for its long-range capabilities of up to 7,700 nautical miles (14,260 km) and a maximum speed of Mach 0.925. It's one of the most advanced business jets out there! ✈️😊
😊✈️ Matt
What a thrill, to see it take off. Is this a private jet? I’m from Boeing town, in Seattle so I don’t know anything about these jets. Thank you for sharing this beautiful airplane ✈️.
Thank you for your awesome comment! Yes, it is a private jet - the size of a medium airliner, isn't it? Crazy, yes I know. The Bombardier Global 7500 is very impressive, known for its long-range capabilities of up to 7,700 nautical miles (14,260 km) and a maximum speed of Mach 0.925. It's one of the most advanced business jets out there! ✈️😊 Best wishes, Matt
Total novice here! Could anyone please explain why there was about a 15 second delay between what sounded like full thrust to the actual take-off. I always see the aircraft start to creep forward after only a couple of seconds. Interested to know. Many thanks in advance and superb footage as usual!
Most pilots would do what is called a static or standing takeoff when departing an airport with complex terrain at heavy weights. They can quickly scan engine parameters at full thrust while standing still rather than doing so on the roll and have to abort the takeoff or god forbid have to continue with a degraded or failed engine.
Thank you for your great comment! It's always a pleasure to share these amazing moments. The delay you noticed between full thrust and actual take-off can be attributed to several factors, including the aircraft's weight, runway conditions, and the pilot's decision to ensure optimal performance before taking off. I see it quite often here in Bern, Switzerland because the runway length is only 1'730 metres so 5'600 feet! 😊✈️
Thanks for your insightful comment, Glen! It's a great question. While high-bypass turbofan engines are known for their fuel efficiency and quieter operation, business jets like the Bombardier Global 7500 often prioritize performance, range and speed. The Global 7500 is equipped with advanced General Electric Passport 20 engines that provide exceptional thrust, allowing it to fly long distances at high speeds-up to 0.925 Mach! ✈️ Have a lovely Sunday, Matt
Judging by the pilot choosing to go to full power and wait with the brakes applied I'm guessing this plane is heavily loaded for a long flight. I see the runway is a little over 1700 meters 5600 feet so I'm thinking this is exactly why he waited, make sure the engines are stabilized and probably not going to fail. This technique is used when it's snowing or raining also.
Thank you for your insightful comment! You're absolutely right; the pilot's decision to use full power while holding the brakes is a smart technique, especially for a heavily loaded Bombardier Global 7500 preparing for a long flight. The runway at Bern (Switzerland) is just 1'730 metres long.

Thank you for your comment! The Bombardier Global 7500 is actually powered by the GE PASSPORT 20 engines! 😊✈️
Probably has just one lonely billionaire on board too.
Must be a boring and dull owner if that’s their choice of a color scheme for a $50+ million dollar jet. Ho hum…🥱🥱😴
Thank you for your comment! I can understand how the color scheme might not appeal to everyone. The jet is operated by Vista America! ✈️😊
