I’m 60 and my wife 54 we are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. Saving and investing lifestyle in the stock market made it possible for us this early even till now we earn weekl
Look, there’s a lot of investing options (real estate, airbnb, stocks,cr.ypto,ETFs) my best advice is get a pro who will lead you to a profitable one. I recommend you reach out to my CFA Jennifer Alaine . Hr method stands out from any other manager i have come across so far.
There are many independent advisors to choose from. But I work with Jennifer Alaine and we've been working together for years and she's fantastic. You could check her if she meets your requirements. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with
Ally! Wow. Never would have known you weren’t a native speaker of North American English. You’ve really done your homework and have such a warm, soothing tone. I appreciate you both and take so much inspiration from y’all as I test the waters of early retirement at almost 60 🙏🏾🙏🏿🙏🏽
I wish that young adults today realized that we all started out in "watermelon" couch mode and they were happy times. They want to start out at the same level that mom and dad are at now, and it makes them discontent with life instead of adventurous. Man my first apartment had a shared bathroom! Fun times!
I have lived, as they say, "high off the hog" and lost it all several times in my life. From taking limos and staying in a luxury suite at The Four Seasons to being broke and homeless, and then doing it all over again and again. I never budgeted until I turned 60, was deep in debt with nothing saved for retirement. Now my motto is "eyes on the prize" and it's amazing what you can do when you have to. You just need to prioritize how you want to live and be willing to consistently do what it takes to make it happen.
Absolutely shocked that English is not Allie’s first language. You are more articulate than many native speakers. That speaks volumes about your resolve in all things. Your combined mindsets made everything possible. You both rock and that’s why I rock with you both!
Thank you for sharing your story and your struggles. I think most of us have been there. I would never have known that English is Allies second language. She speaks so clearly and no hint of an accent. I think you guys are so popular on RUclips because you are both so open and honest. My husband and I have a saying “Do what we can with what we have”.
We consider you two to be "must see tv". A lot of your videos are inspiring, but this one was extra. Thank you for posting it, and thank you for inspiring our future life trajectory!
Every time you post a video they just get better and better and this video just tops them all. Thank you for your heartfelt honesty, bravery, and transparency. You two are an inspiration and I thank you so much!!!❤❤
Hello fellow Californians (I think, not sure of your now home state). I found you on your train channel. I so enjoyed this story. I wanted to travel early on so after back packing in the 70's on $5 literally a day, I then got a teaching job in Europe for $6,000 a year. I was able to travel all over! My priority has always been live within my means. Your channel proves it works. It has for me and I am a lot older than you two. Congratulations on what you have achieved. Allie, I thought English was your first language well done. PS My son in fluent in Japanese, go figure.
Greetings from Atlanta! Allie! I can so relate to translating my thoughts in my head! I grew up in an English speaking community, but as the only Latinos in the area, my parents insisted that we only speak Spanish at home. As kids, my siblings and I started school not speaking very much English but at that age, there are no inhibitions and we made ourselves understood as best we could as we learned the language. Thanks for all the great content you and Rob share with us!
Wow! I never knew Allie is a native Spanish-speaker! We definitely can't tell that English isn't your first language, Allie! That's awesome! Great advice at a time I deep down feel I need it... work with what we have and do the very best with what we've been given, with the gifts we've been given. Informative and encouraging. Thank you. 🙏🏽
When you come to the US as a younger person, under 15 then the accent of your native language disappears. Older age? No; no matter how well you know English and your speaking and writing abilities in English can far surpass native speakers around you.
@@thirstingknowledge oh, I totally understand. While my native tongue is English, I was born and raised in Jamaica and migrated to the US at age 10, with regular trips back home every year throughout my older childhood years, and I can and have definitely assimilated depending on time and place.
So inspiring! You two really are my favourite RUclips couple because you are so honest and straightforward and humble. That “secret sauce” made from a loving relationship and hard work will get you through the thick and thin every time. You are role models and so deserving of your success.
This, by far, is your best video yet! I love the advice you both give! I never would've guessed that Allie had English as her second language. She/you speak it better than most English speaking Americans! Rob's talent as a photographer is awesome! Keep making these videos, please! Like you keeping it real and personal. It's totally relatable! ❤❤❤😊
Love that you share your story. You come across as very relatable people and I think it serves you well for the channel. Happy for your success - keep it going!
The struggle is how you feel you earned whatever the goal is. If it were a walk in the park you’d never enjoy it, you’d feel guilty, like you have to do still more. But when you look back at what you actually went thru, while you were in a position to do it, it feels more like just deserts.
Allie and Rob, I have watched probably 80% of your videos, but nothing has touched me more than this video! As an immigrant divorced mother who was an independent contractor all of her career, I so relate to you!!
The interesting thing about life is that it shows you more than it tells you. You can either be prepared for the hard times or not. So many people today think they can "hack the system" and avoid pitfalls.
What an inspiring video with great life lessons all of us need to learn from. While we didn’t retire as early as you two, we did retire before the usual age. It was all due to paying for a car with cash and having no debt or mortgage when we did retire. Thanks for sharing your story; it’s important to let others know it’s possible. I really enjoy your channels and am truly impressed with your language skills. It puts the rest of us to shame. Keep up the great work.
Inspirational! I often say when I am making budget decisions that I am not denying myself some short time thing, whether it's dinner out or new shoes, I choose to put my priorities elsewhere with the money I am not spending.
Wow. This video took me back. I remember having to decline our sons birthday party invitations as we did not have the $$$ for a present. We sold many of our possessions in the 90s to keep ourselves afloat. I started side-hustling as I held low-paying jobs and my wife would work double shifts at the airport (airlines pay is very low). Somehow we raised four children on a wing and a prayer (lots of pasta and finding ways to make three meals out of a chicken). We never had new car, nor bought new furniture. In our 60s now, it took us awhile to find our way financially. We always take trips outside the US (airline flight benefits) because it is so much more affordable. California, especially, bled us dry.
I think we may be at a point (like most of us) where we have a golden handcuff situation, but the goal is to take the next step and be happy, assuming there are no health issues. Thanks for sharing videos and encouraging us.
So appreciate you guys sharing your journey, the couch, the cameras, staying in the rental car… my husband and I furnished our home from resale shops and the side of the road 😂. Three years ago I brought my elderly mom to live in a ($600/month) hotel in Mexico. She has amazing, 24/7 personalized care that we pay for separately, and I come visit each month. Now, in her 4th year, I’m spending more time in Mexico than in the U.S., and have given up paying for housing there, since friends always need house sitters and I’m flexible. You’re providing such a valuable resource by sharing your knowledge-🙏🙏🙏
Ah!! I always thought you might be a fellow Latina! You have zero accent (neither do I) but I had noticed your pronunciation of certain Spanish words was so good. 😂❤
You are an inspiration for me and I’ve rejuvented my sleepy RUclips channel and started creating and chronicling my life health turn around. I am keeping positive and appreciate the support you give us here!
Thanks for another wonderful video and all of the fresh inspiration! I started my YT channel today in large part due to y'all illuminating the path. Thank you!🎉
This just gives me more to look forward to! My focus is to get as many points as I can. This is the perfect way for me to see all the places I want to with no worries about where to stay, what to eat etc. You guys have a beautiful story to encourage folks to have hope. Thank you so much for sharing your story.!!!
Been there done that - and even though I could afford more now, one of my favorite couches is a $20 Goodwill gem! There’s all this pressure to live up to the Joneses, but the Joneses are struggling silently sometimes too. Or just using their credit cards for everything and not telling you. Things are not always what they seem! So just do your own thing & so the best YOU can!! I’m talking to myself right now too lol.
Wow, thanks so much Allie and Rob for sharing you journey, it is inspiring. I am 54 years young and looking forward to traveling the world like the two of you.
This is the 2nd vlog that I've watched from you. The 1st one was about your visit to the Philippines. Both of you are humble and simple, which gives you much character. Thank you for sharing your life experiences.❤
Loved this video! I can appreciate your struggles and really love how you persevered through it to achieve your long terms goals. That which doesn’t break us, makes us stronger, right?!
THANKS so much for sharing and opening up. I believe the secret sauce to your success is grabbing life with both hands, and supporting that with intelligence, energy (this is king!), hard work, good communication and a lack of contrivance. For fans of the Law of Attraction, you greatly exemplify the correct way of attracting good things. You reap from the Universe what you sow.....and it sounds like you sowed a lot. 😊 As for being shocked, I guess the vast majority of those of us growing up in the 1960s and right to the early 90s, ie, pre-internet, are NOT. We constantly searched for ways of improving our lives and living despite the inconveniences including not having information literally at our fingertips like today. That sort of drive, "can-do" and wonderment are largely missing with most younger people these days.
So glad y’all are telling this story…. One of my viewers called me rich! Rich? Naw…Just because I was on cruises. What they don’t know is that driving to Brooklyn from KY used to be our vacation. It always takes a big struggle to “come up”. Plus watching other people succeeding in their interests… teaches you how to see your interests in another way. Financial information on RUclips like investments and point hacks also help all of us to “live larger”. So don’t make assumptions yall. Lol just keep an open mind. Watch success stories like this one. Make a plan. 😊
My face 😮 when you hablabas español Allie! I would never have guessed English isn’t your first language. And now I’m curious as to your family’s background. We love a diverse Queen! 💛
Of all the many inspiring videos you have made, this one is the best. I think anyone who watches this video will be affected positively by your story. I have made many parallel choices that you have made and I am looking forward to my traveling retirement too.
Our first couches were salvaged from being thrown out as well. My car is still a complete wreck but financially doing decently now. Lots of saving and living below means.
Wow Allie. Your English is fantastic. I’m fluent in Spanish. My wife is Thai, English is her FOURTH language. Thai, Lao, Japanese, English. And now learning Spanish. I second the thought to start a Spanish language channel! Huge market potential there. Plus we can all laugh at Rob. I mean laugh with Rob!
Your channel is now my favorite! I love how you share all the details that helped you get to where you are today. I have learned so much from your channels. As a single parent of 2 from the age of 21 I have ridden the struggle bus for a long time, but was fortunate to have decent employment and have always tried to squirrel away even $50 a paycheck, and this was long before high yield savings existed! Now in my 50’s I’m fortunate to have options I never even thought of thanks to your channel.
Wow- that such a great thing, money saving wise, to have never bought ‘em a new car. We have had 2 new cars but have driven the first one to 220,000 miles and our 2 nd new car is a 2012 that we are still driving.
Aww, thank you for sharing your story! 💛 My husband and I love watching your videos. We enjoyed learning more about your journey and related with many things. We couldn't believe that English is Ali's second language- that's amazing! 💥 Wishing you all the best!
I could definitely hear your effort! I knew you were a native Spanish-speaking person. I have heard you roll some of your words which is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your amazing and humbling story. Blessings to you both.
I can definitely relate with having a family young. My first daugther was born when I was 21. Things have really changed since then. Appreciated getting to know y'all more. Thank you for sharing! 💚
Amen to all that you said! I am always thankful to sit down and pay bills because I remember well when I could not pay my bills. I'm thankful to be where I am. But I'm also thankful for how I got there. Overcoming struggle is a great teacher! 💯 I would have never imagined that you guys had such humble beginnings. You deserve all the blessings that you have now! Thank you for this honest, encouraging video! ❤
I subscribe to all of your channels and you always have so much useful information and sometimes just really interesting stories. I've sent your videos to so many people and hope that your channels continue to grow. I was so shocked when you mentioned on the Philippines video that you were Hispanic and then to find out here that Spanish was your first language. Mind blown this week.
I absolutely love this video. You to are so wonderful to let us in on your story. So much respect for continuing to push through. I pray God blesses you richly. 🙏😊🙏😊
I enjoyed your content. And the reminder that I have came a long way. And I have many more beautiful miles to go. I am very fortunate that my early retirement I get paid to be foot loose and fancy free. My budget is a tad bit less than yours and I am still saving money. ❤
Hi Allie & Rob, you have a beautiful family. I’m watching the replay. Thank you for all the good information you share on each video. I’m taking notes. 😊
Hi guys, your stories are always so interesting, and your journey was a tough one. Your success is well deserved, and I appreciate you sharing your experiences with us. Allie, we had no idea that English wasn't your first language (couldn't tell). My Spanish is horrible (need a ton more practice) but if you did a Spanish-language channel, I (and I'm sure many others) would totally subscribe to it. Have you considered doing one?
Bingo! Not ever having a car payment is such a “wealth” hack👍🏼. People are paying $500-700+ per mo every months since birth practically. Imagine investing that over 20-30yrs. Omg 😳
I've been waiting for "your story" video! Your children are so beautiful! Love all the humble beginnings and that you still "pinch" yourself to see where you are. Love to hear why you decided to homeschool your children too
I loved this video and smiled the entire time watching. You are a beautiful couple and have a special bond that only working through stuff TOGETHER can bring. The watermelon couch and Flinstone car have brought good memories. Our behind the 8-ball situation was my husband had child support and we had a very tight budget before that outgoing check! we sent our kids to Christian private schools which was also a sacrifice. Our son had a bedroom with exposed plumbing and peeling wallpaper because we tried the "sweat equity buy and old house" concept. But currently we are millionaires and I retired at age 55. I am curious, did you rent or own the home during the tough times?
I appreciate this video so much. I was a young parent and had hand me downs and a similar sofa. That made me smile. I love your attitude and perspective on life. I so enjoyed your back story. And Allie, I am so impressed with your diction. Amazing. And the story of the Grand Teton photo so inspiring.
I just adore you two. Thank you for this video. I’m also here to support the call for Allie to start a Spanish channel! 😊 Like others, I’m in complete awe that English isn’t your first language.
Also, Have you thought about making a Spanish language channel? The one thing I do marvel at watching your channels is how many more things could be done In retirement. If you read there are book review channels, if you shop there are shopping market channels. I've been watching investment channels and I'm sure some retirees do that too. You never have to worry about getting bored with the channels because you're channels can change with the your interests.
I'm happy for you to be living your dream , but it frustrates me to hear stories like yours because I've had a RUclips channel for 6 years now (I'm the same age as you); I've worked very hard, and I feel made a lot of improvement over time, but my growth is so incredibly slow. I started my channel while I was still working, but then I was forced to retire early because of an injury, and had hoped to live this same life. We sold our house, and almost everything we owned, downsized to a modest rental (my youngest has two years of high school left), used points & miles to travel as much as possible, made an abundance of content, and we were so happy to be traveling so much, but the views just didn't come, and we ran out of money within a couple of years. Now we're back to struggling day to day and wondering how we can travel even once or twice a year. I don't understand how very similar channels get the views and earn the money and others don't. It feels very unfair. Oddly, my son's channel has almost 20,000 subscribers and his videos get thousands of views, but he earns even less money than I do from his channel. RUclips success eludes us.
You should double down on all the travel stuff but in SPANISH!! That way you're covering a lot of bases and it helps people who are also like you and feel more familiar with Spanish vs. English!!!
I’m 60 and my wife 54 we are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. Saving and investing lifestyle in the stock market made it possible for us this early even till now we earn weekl
Great job ! I bet you’re living your best life right now.
I’m a young dad, I’m really glad to hear your story it inspires me. Please how did you achieve this milestone.

How can I get more info about her offers ?
Ally! Wow. Never would have known you weren’t a native speaker of North American English. You’ve really done your homework and have such a warm, soothing tone. I appreciate you both and take so much inspiration from y’all as I test the waters of early retirement at almost 60 🙏🏾🙏🏿🙏🏽

Congratulations on your success! Your humble attitude and grounded determination are inspirational!
As a 32 year old woman I am thankful for this channel
I had a roadside couch I slept on for probably 10+ years. At a place now I don't struggle like that. So now traveling is my next goal.
The family pic is too cute! Awesome video too. Thanks for sharing!
OMG! I love you guys! Your story brought me to tears. It is so full of hope and positivity. Thank you!
I legit almost cried!

Thank you! I keep reminding my young adult child that he won't START his adult living as well as his parents.
Well said

This, by far, is your best video yet! I love the advice you both give! I never would've guessed that Allie had English as her second language. She/you speak it better than most English speaking Americans! Rob's talent as a photographer is awesome! Keep making these videos, please! Like you keeping it real and personal. I had a “flintstone” car as my first car!! Loved just being able to have transportation.
Amazing story. Wishing wonderful years together. Well deserved.
Me encanto cuando te escuche hablar tu lengua nativa.😊 Ustedes dos son una maravilla!❤
Love that you share your story. You come across as very relatable people and I think it serves you well for the channel. Happy for your success - keep it going!

Allie you do a great job for English being your second language. I have watched for years and never had a clue.
Beautiful and humble family 🙂
Wow- that such a great thing, money saving wise, to have never bought ‘em a new car.
We have had 2 new cars but have driven the first one to 220,000 miles and our 2 nd new car is a 2012 that we are still driving.
Aww, thank you for sharing your story! 💛 My husband and I love watching your videos. We enjoyed learning more about your journey and related with many things. We couldn't believe that English is Ali's second language- that's amazing! 💥 Wishing you all the best!
Wow…your English is so good. I had no idea you weren’t a native English speaker.
I would have never imagined that you guys had such humble beginnings.
This was wonderful! Very affirming for people dreaming of what could be. Congratulations on your success and thanks for sharing your gifts.
Glad I found you guys. I’m hooked. Great looking family.
Awesome! Thank you!
I thumbed up for the flannel couch! 😂
Omg 😳
Car notes have not always been that expensive. My last car note was $360 per month that I purchased brand new 11 yrs ago. I still drive it.
This video is so inspiring
Thank you for the share
I love your channel. This may be my favorite video yet. You are both so positive and encouraging to others.
Really enjoyed this video. You guys made some great points about struggles and strengths. Inspirational!
You are both so inspirational. Thank you for sharing your story.
I keep passing by your picture every day. You are "hanging" in the hallway of DSS😂
I just adore you two. Thank you for this video. I’m also here to support the call for Allie to start a Spanish channel! 😊 Like others, I’m in complete awe that English isn’t your first language.
I love your honesty and transparency. I always look forward to each new video. Keep it up guys
Very inspiring.
Thank you so much for this video! You guys are such an inspiration
This was a wonderful, relatable video that gives hope. Thanks for all you shared here. 😊
You should double down on all the travel stuff but in SPANISH!! That way you're covering a lot of bases and it helps people who are also like you and feel more familiar with Spanish vs. English!!!
I find it very reasonable
Thank you so much for sharing. I appreciate the honesty and truthfulness that the both of you always convey.
Excellent video. Just started watching you two. Love your honesty and sincerity. What country do you live in? I'm looking at Frsnce and Portugal
Thank you for sharing your story with us.
Definitely every glory has a story, awesome video!
