Another thing that is important to know with lock is that you can toggle the knockback on eldrich blast in the passives tab. Really good thing to do when fighting a boss in a sketchy spot so you dont lose your loot.
Ran into one of those shambling horde things in act 2 walking around with over 600hp. Didn’t even realize you could run into enemies that big not named Raphael. He was wiping my whole team until Wyll blew him off the side of the cliff. Hope it didn’t drop anything nice.
So, a nifty little interaction.... If you pick up the Spellsparkler staff in Act 1 and go with either Blue or Bronze Draconic Sorc, your Eldritch Blast will also deal lightning damage allowing you to add your Charisma modifier a 3rd time due to Elemental Affinity. Not sure if this is intended or a bug, but it was working as of a week ago.
Just did some testing of my own. It appears sorc is not needed at all for what you're describing. I had pure warlock with the staff and it does some insane stuff where there 1 lightning damage it's supposed to do gets your agonizing blast added to it and when it does the 1d8 damage that also gets your agonizing blast added to it as well.
@@xavierdoesntmatter but the level 6 draconic bloodline subclass feature will add your bonus on top yet again. And there's a necklace that does that again if you deal elemental damage with a cantrip. And the robe adds it again. the stacking gets ridiculous.

My take It’s a bit pedantic and depends on difficulty. I did lvl10sorcerer lvl2warlock Lvl 1 sorcerer: Con save proficiency and natural armor from Draconic. Any race is fine but preferably one w/ shield proficiency Lvl 2-3 warlock: EB, agonizing blast and repel OR replace repel for devil’s sight to see through and cast spells from darkness to be untargetable SPLIT: find bracers of defense at this point Lvl 4-5 warlock: lvl 2 spells for Misty-step&hex & feat Lvl 4-5 sorcerer: lvl 5 spells later and more sorcery points Lvl 6-12 sorcerer: most valuable metamagic is quickened & extended, maybe twinned. Max CHA to 20 Equipment: robes and hat as described, any staff but find legendary one in Act 3, boots w/ Misty step, jewelry for preferred but maybe ones to restore spell slots, quickened gloves Preferred spells lvl5-1: any lvl 5 spell as are situational, Wall of Fire to divide enemies, Fireball duh or Lightning-bolt if combined with create water for lightning vulnerability, Haste w/ extended can be much better than quickened EB, counterspell as explained, Blur is ok but concentration, Darkness if devil’s sight, Hold person is quite valuable, Misty step if needed, mirror image if spare slot, Shield, chromatic orb lightning creates water surface for lightning vulnerability, and magic missile or feather fall if still have a slot
I suggest once you are about to multiclass to Sorcerer, that you respec again and start with Level 1 Sorcerer to gain Constitution Proficiency for your Saving Throws. This makes it so you are less likely to lose concentration every time you get hit/damaged as you get +2/3/4 added to your rolls, depending on your Character Level (not class level)
Potent Robe (+7 damage with 24 CHA) + 1d8 Lighting Damage from Lightning Charges (Spellsparkler Staff) + 1d6 Necrotic Damage from Hex + 2 Radiant Damage from Coruscation Ring (cast light on yourself before) aaand if you pick dual wielding you can also use Kereska's Favour from MARKOHESHKIR which is always pretty handy :) Scorching Ray (pick red dragon ancestry) and Magic Missile are also amazing for this build.
There is a necklace that adds an extra target to your cantrips and uve been finding that going poison bloodline mixed with elemental adept vastly out damages eldritch blast, as long as enemies are not immune of course. But very gear dependant of course.
My MC is 8 Lightning Dragon Sorc/2 Warlock/2 Tempest Cleric. 24 Charisma. With Haste + Elixir of Bloodlust I can drop 3 5th lvl Lightning Bolts in a turn, and guarantee max dmg with 2 if using the Amulet of the Devout for 2 charges of Destructive Wrath. First turn I twinspell Haste, take out a low HP enemy with Eldritch Blast, then group a bunch of enemies up with a bonus action Blackhole and drop a Create Water to get them wet. Second turn I'll bonus action Blackhole again to regroup all the enemies then drop a couple max dmg 5th lvl Lightning Bolts on them. Anything left I can clean up with my other group members or take out with Eldritch Blast. Very fun build, 10/10 recommend 😂
Absolutely hate how all the builds people make are for endgame. Like, let's play this 50 hours as a subpar member of the party, but then decimate the tail end of the game. Would really love build guides that make the /entire/ game fun. I swear people just sit down and make the best build for the last fight of the game and don't consider anything else. If your build requires unique magic items and 5+ level dips, it's one of these builds.
Look for Crpg Bro builds for complete game builds . He tends to obsess on initiative but he has a point and he always considers your usefulness at any given level. Nothing against this guy's approach but Crpg Bro is solid imo .
Yes , pretty much this. Your are looking at all these padlocks , or adjuration wizards + armour of hadar combo or some other crap and realising that it will bad/mediocre for like 2/3 of the game. Waste of time.
IMO 9/3 or 10/2 are both better than the 8/4 advocated here. Yes you lose a feat- but you get 5th level spells which more than makes up for the lost feat. 10/2 gets more spell slots, 9/3 gets a pact so more or less a toss up there.
Yeah .... I'd had a 5th edition Sorcerer for 3 levels... and then wanted to dip into Warlock for 3 levels for Agonizing Blast & Pact of the Tome for the familiar that can give me advantage on it's turn... since it's invisible... and then be able to burn the Warlock Spells into Sorcery Points if there are any leftover.... Don't get the reason to go to lvl 4... that's kinda weird.
Use the potion of angelic rest after converting all lvl 1 and 2 into sorc points. The potion will restore your warlock slots and your lvl 1&2 slots. This can massively amplify your stockpile of those resources
There is also an item that gives you +1 eldrich blast rays to take you from 3 to 4 that I've seen mentioned in other videos but don't remember what/where it is.

I ended up not taking repelling blast and got something else still does the damage just doesn’t have knock back anymore. Also I chose storm sorcery just because I wanted to fly around because I thought it would be cool haha.
I plan on doing something similar to this except have 8 levels in sorc for meta magic, 2 in warlock for agonizing blast, armor of shadows, and armor of agathys, and then 2 in wizard for sculpt spells and additional spells to swap out for utilities or damage while dumping strength & wisdom for higher stats in cha16/int16/con14/dex12
The question here is how are people multiclassing into/for Warlock spellcasters when the slot selection is bugged till now and Warlock spells will always choose the highest spell slot (either available via warlock or spellcasting class such as Sorcerer progression) which renders the warlock learnt spells useless in many scenarios
Sculpt spell and a vast array of spells makes wizard a hard to pass option. There's a head gear in act 1 that sets your int to 17.. meaning you can leave your int at 8 and start with way more than sorc can supply. Late game its no contest as wizard will have learned almost every spell in the game. Cloud kill and eldritch will make quick work of minions and soften elite enemies for your Frontline to completely dominate right from turn 1
I do have one question, although it may seem silly: If you start as Warlock, then switch to Sorcerer - Draconic, will it affect your appearance? I specifically wanted a Draconic Sorcerer for the facial scales, and even though it may not seem that important, I want to keep it if possible. Does starting out Sorcerer make too much of a difference with the buikd, if you're just re-rolling an established character?
When you level up sorcerer it lets you choose the sub class, if you choose draconic, then lets you pick your scale appearance or if you want them at all. Doesn't matter if you respec, you can do it as many times as you want.
So Fighter 2 for Action Surge? Sounds like a fun build. I think there is a little overlap in what Action Surge and Quickened Spell do but it does give you some additinal proficiences and alternative options in combat. I like it.
Dump STR / WIS / INT and max CHA (17) then CON/DEX (15/16 whichever). Go with Ability Improvement as Feat then raise CHA to 18 and CON/DEX to 16. Next feat do the same but raise CHA to 20. With the hat, you can raise it to CHA 22.
I personally feel like level 3 spells are just too strong to give up on Warlock at 4. With Fiend you can grab counterspell and fireball. Then going the rest of the way in Sorcerer you can twin spell 6 fireballs a day while still using the counterspells. You also don't lose out how powerful EB is as it scales. Even delaying a feat until level 6 to start out Sorcerer for constitution throws and another level after agonizing blast for twin spell.

well you could go lightning items and pick either bronze or blue as your dragonblood and then chromatic orb for twin magic which does a lot of dmg if the target is wet. Which is really easy to get if you have say cleric in your party with the lvl 1 create water spell. Which like many others can be upscaled for larger areas. Rank 3 create water for example covers an entire group of enemies in water.
I go blue dragon born with sorc draconic bloodline subclass with white blood to get the amor o. A., then I get a few ice and lightning spells (other spells like fireball or something similar is maybe also good there are some enemy’s with different dmg types), but this whole thing ist is for me some role play aspect, every dude on RUclips makes some crazy powerful builds but they completely neglect the role-playing aspect, and my char has an background like in dnd uk.
Am I the only one that enjoys going warlock 8 sorcerer 4? I only need a few extra slots for hex and darkness mainly, the only thing really lacking is sorcerer points which could be alleviated by doing a 6-6 if you really want them.

Then you get double blast every turn with 2 action points as long as you hold concentration Also, do you get triple hit blast when you hit level 10, even if you've put say 8 levels into sorcerer? What's the benefit of 3 levels into warlock? You mentioned going into pact of the chain but there doesn't seem to be any benefit to getting a pact, so why not go sorc then instead? sorry for the questions, first playthrough !

Is sorlock better than pure sorc? I see different opinions. Some say you rest enough so pure sorc doesn’t need the cantrips, but some ppl make it seem like eldritch blast a must have? Noob confused 😅
@@IlluminaZero I think sorlocks dip into sorc and use quicken but it costs 3 sorc points so seems kinda expensive at least early game. I made several characters-1 of them is intended to be a sorlock starting out as a warlock and another as a pure sorc. Early warlock is much smoother. If you miss a couple of spells as a sorc, you’re just left with a couple of meh cantrips and low armor and melee attack. Probably will be much better later though.
The lads and I run on tactician and I go with a 12 Sorc and we rarely do long rests (even though we can almost every fight - we just maximize buff/potion effects) nor do I encounter spell slot problems (albeit going all out on boss fights). I did run a sorlock but it got quite boring to just eldritch blast, eventually I did switch to 6 Sorc (Draconic) / 6 Cleric (Temp) as later levels of sorc doesn't really seem beneficial to me, unless you want more sorc points and higher level spells and the combo and damage you do with this build is quite fun. You can just cast haste or the potion for the extra action and just quickening when you really need to burst someone. You can play around though if you squeezed the early Acts, you can enter Act 3 at level 12 which you can try builds since there's a hefty amount of encounters in it still.
@@TheDaemon2142 yeah seems like there’s a lot of trade offs since we cans only go to level 12. I was doing an oath breaker run with the plan to dip into warlock but it would need at least a 9/3 split for pact of the blade and I’d lose out on the divine smite upgrade.

Add the lightning charge Staff from waukeens rest and it adds up to over 100 damage with 24 charisma. For single target burst 2 times upcastet scorching ray plus bonuses is way stronger than eldritch blast. So it's a waste to use it on Eldritch Blast.
Build seems strong but clunky. It suffers from what a lot of the Sorlock builds do, basically they require a lot of setup. You want Haste or Hex, maybe a shreaking sword. Your going to lose an action or a bonus action round 1, so that you can do more damage round 2. Your level 3 slots are going to twinned haste or counterspell probably. But if you twin haste it is eating into your sorc points for quickening. With the extra 2 warlock levels to get the ASI and potentially 2 levels of fighter too we are also sacrificing more sorcery points. Like a nova build this build runs out of resources (sorcery points and haste slots) pretty quickly and needs to short rest. Unlike a NOVA build though, most of this damage doesnt take off till round 2. Meanwhile the sharpshooter ranger/rogue/fighter and the throw barb have already killed everything in a round with less DPR than we are trying to achieve on round 2. I'm currently running something similar to this on Gale as a Sorclock. I picked him over Wyll because Gale eventually can get adv on concentration checks. The thing is, twinned haste goes down, a few blasts go off, and the barb and ranger have killed everything before he gets to "lift off". This is like having an "I WIN" skill you can't use till round 2 but then recharges every short rest. Problem is when you optimize heavily most of the enemies are dead before you get to go again.

Heard in one of these videos that its potentially possible to get 5 uses of eldritch blast in 1 turn that hits 4 times per blast instead of 3! Cant remember which video, as for the life of me i cant find it. I know its possible to set off 4 blasts per turn that hit 4 times but not 5! Must be some sort of gear. This build is so broken it could potentially be patched, but then again pure warlock blaster without multi classing is a bit weak if you don't take the pact of chain or blade because both rely on different play styles. If warlock gave us an extra use of eldritch blast invocation per turn like melee characters do. Those guys can attack 6 or 7 times in 1 turn with the right gear and buffs, and that's not including counter attacks or attacks of opportunity.
Does getting 2 levels on Fighter first work as well? Then 2 on Warlock and then 8 on Sorc. I'm willing to sacrifice the extra damage from the Portent Robe for the extra AC of medium/heavy armour from Fighter, apart from Action Surge which is great.
So if you have the Gemini Gloves to increase eldritch blast to four beams, you get haste and take two levels in fighter for the action surge and you quicken spell... Thats three actions and a bonus action of Eldritch blast for 16 beams right? Could you quicken spell twice in a round for 20? That'd be crazy to potentially do 20d10 + 100 damage in one round and push an enemy 90m 😂
You wouldn’t be able to quicken twice. You still only have one bonus action. Unless you could somehow also get three levels in thief rogue for second bonus action. lol

I want to try this build but bro you skipped a lot of stuff. You didn't say exactly what to take at level 1. And then at level 3 - 4 you didnt say what spells or feats to use.... I am lost
Honestly this build doesn’t really need feats as long as you get your charisma up to 20 then the rest is up to you, again with the spells it’s basically pick and choose what you like and match the element with your draconic bloodline as we won’t be using them too much we don’t need to worry about it although I will give you a tip and say instead of using hex later on you could use haste on yourself and/or someone else to get more actions if you do it on your self then you will get a lot more blasts in future turns as turn 2 if you kept concentration you can cast eldritch blast 3 times with 2 actions and your quickened spell
If you want some suggestions on spells though I will list a few really good ones here; Shield Haste Counterspell Armour of agathis for temp hp if you find yourself miss positioning a lot As well as other general utility like featherfall for exploration as we don’t use spells offensively we don’t need to worry about the choices too much. Again don’t worry about the feats and spells because as long as you get warlock to level 2 and pick agonising blast and get the robe you can’t really go too far wrong.
Does BG3 allow twinned spell to work ice knife? In tabletop it doesn’t because Ice knife has that AoE which means it works on multiple targets. Same applies to eldritch blast.
Recently rebuilt Astarion into a Rogue-Thief/Fighter-Champion. With two weapons he gets 6 regular attacks and I can use a bonus action to off-hand attack and then action surge. That's 8 attacks bro.
This build is far more powerful in D&D 5E, where quickened spell forces your main action to be a cantrip. In BG3, pure sorcerer is probably stronger due to the ability to quicken high level spells.
"Tome" is pronounced like "Ohm", not "Tomb"... Also, if your first level is sorceror, you get proficiency with con saves, which helps with keeping concentration. It's also nice to go dragonblood for that built in, non dispellable mage armor that you don't have to cast.
When I watch a build video, I want to know which levels to take in which classes. This is just a video about *why* to multiclass, not HOW. GIVE US THE BUILD BREAKDOWN LEVEL BY LEVEL!!!!!!!!!!!
I read it as the first 4 levels in Warlock, then the rest in Sorcerer. An Eldritch cannon will carry you through the first 4 levels easily so no need to get tricky bouncing back and forth.
Bro u wasted all feats. If you’re just gunna have a 22 charisma item then respec and take all your feats u can. Dump charisma entirely into like an 8 and then use the points everywhere else
A question, why not go fighter 2, rouge 3 (thief), sorc 5 and warlock 2? you can get a crazy amount of eldritch blasts off and with the cultivation elixirs (pop one, convert to sorc point, pop a different one rinse and repeat) and the angelic potions, the need for sorcery points would be met, and you could still hit 22 cha with the mirror of loss +hat. while you lose out on 2 feats that would have been ASI for CHA anyways, it would still have the other feat for anything you could want. I love build crafting and your guide was very helpful so i figured I would ask.

Your guide is not complete. You kinda stopped at lvl 5 sorc and lvl 4 lock. There's then still 3 levels to go. I guess you put those in sorc, but that would mean another feat, which you did not talk about. It's kinda what people would like to know if they are looking for a good build

how can you get this in Act 1? the reward doesn't come until completing the quest in Act 3?
Also one of the main reasons to go sorlock is to convert unused warlock slots into sorcery points before a short rest.
Though currently this is bugged and you have to use your sorcerer slots first before you can choose warlock slots.

IMO 9/3 or 10/2 are both better than the 8/4 advocated here. Yes you lose a feat- but you get 5th level spells which more than makes up for the lost feat. 10/2 gets more spell slots, 9/3 gets a pact so more or less a toss up there.
Yeah .... I'd had a 5th edition Sorcerer for 3 levels... and then wanted to dip into Warlock for 3 levels for Agonizing Blast & Pact of the Tome for the familiar that can give me advantage on it's turn... since it's invisible... and then be able to burn the Warlock Spells into Sorcery Points if there are any leftover.... Don't get the reason to go to lvl 4... that's kinda weird.
Use the potion of angelic rest after converting all lvl 1 and 2 into sorc points. The potion will restore your warlock slots and your lvl 1&2 slots. This can massively amplify your stockpile of those resources
There is also an item that gives you +1 eldrich blast rays to take you from 3 to 4 that I've seen mentioned in other videos but don't remember what/where it is.

Hey I have a level 7 warlock and I'm planning to put my last 5 levels into sorcerer is that viable? Or should I just go straight warlock? Honestly I just want more spell slots for my warlock spells. Like blight and hunger of Hadar
I ended up not taking repelling blast and got something else still does the damage just doesn’t have knock back anymore. Also I chose storm sorcery just because I wanted to fly around because I thought it would be cool haha.
Has it been cool? Useful? I’ve been considering going storm for fly and the level 6 free spells.
Unless I missed it you skip over 4th LVL options. U go from lvl3 warlock to LVL 5 and up sorc I am curious what feat u take for 4th LVL
I plan on doing something similar to this except have 8 levels in sorc for meta magic, 2 in warlock for agonizing blast, armor of shadows, and armor of agathys, and then 2 in wizard for sculpt spells and additional spells to swap out for utilities or damage while dumping strength & wisdom for higher stats in cha16/int16/con14/dex12

The question here is how are people multiclassing into/for Warlock spellcasters when the slot selection is bugged till now and Warlock spells will always choose the highest spell slot (either available via warlock or spellcasting class such as Sorcerer progression) which renders the warlock learnt spells useless in many scenarios
Sculpt spell and a vast array of spells makes wizard a hard to pass option. There's a head gear in act 1 that sets your int to 17.. meaning you can leave your int at 8 and start with way more than sorc can supply. Late game its no contest as wizard will have learned almost every spell in the game. Cloud kill and eldritch will make quick work of minions and soften elite enemies for your Frontline to completely dominate right from turn 1
So for sorlock if you only put 3 levels in warlock does that mean your warlock spell level don’t increase?
I do have one question, although it may seem silly: If you start as Warlock, then switch to Sorcerer - Draconic, will it affect your appearance? I specifically wanted a Draconic Sorcerer for the facial scales, and even though it may not seem that important, I want to keep it if possible. Does starting out Sorcerer make too much of a difference with the buikd, if you're just re-rolling an established character?
When you level up sorcerer it lets you choose the sub class, if you choose draconic, then lets you pick your scale appearance or if you want them at all. Doesn't matter if you respec, you can do it as many times as you want.

So Fighter 2 for Action Surge? Sounds like a fun build. I think there is a little overlap in what Action Surge and Quickened Spell do but it does give you some additinal proficiences and alternative options in combat. I like it.
Of course this was the run where i decided to be evil so i cant get the potent robe

What stats should I start off with for this build?
Dump STR / WIS / INT and max CHA (17) then CON/DEX (15/16 whichever). Go with Ability Improvement as Feat then raise CHA to 18 and CON/DEX to 16. Next feat do the same but raise CHA to 20. With the hat, you can raise it to CHA 22.
Would lock2/sorc10 be better than taking the extra feat? None of the warlock pacts feel useful to my build

I personally feel like level 3 spells are just too strong to give up on Warlock at 4. With Fiend you can grab counterspell and fireball. Then going the rest of the way in Sorcerer you can twin spell 6 fireballs a day while still using the counterspells. You also don't lose out how powerful EB is as it scales. Even delaying a feat until level 6 to start out Sorcerer for constitution throws and another level after agonizing blast for twin spell.
Im really interested in an Ice/lightning focused Sorce drsagonborn build, maybe an multiclass but I dontknow how, I really loved to play icy cold sorcerer/wizard in dnd
well you could go lightning items and pick either bronze or blue as your dragonblood and then chromatic orb for twin magic which does a lot of dmg if the target is wet. Which is really easy to get if you have say cleric in your party with the lvl 1 create water spell. Which like many others can be upscaled for larger areas. Rank 3 create water for example covers an entire group of enemies in water.
I go blue dragon born with sorc draconic bloodline subclass with white blood to get the amor o. A., then I get a few ice and lightning spells (other spells like fireball or something similar is maybe also good there are some enemy’s with different dmg types), but this whole thing ist is for me some role play aspect, every dude on RUclips makes some crazy powerful builds but they completely neglect the role-playing aspect, and my char has an background like in dnd uk.

I only need a few extra slots for hex and darkness mainly, the only thing really lacking is sorcerer points which could be alleviated by doing a 6-6 if you really want them.
Since, Warlock level 3 and 4 do not matter that much, can i subclass them into Fighter for action and armor proficiency?

Is sorlock better than pure sorc? I see different opinions. Some say you rest enough so pure sorc doesn’t need the cantrips, but some ppl make it seem like eldritch blast a must have? Noob confused 😅
Same. You get more eldritch blasts via leveling as pure Warlock so doing this splash specifically for more eldritch blasts seems a bit odd.
@@IlluminaZero I think sorlocks dip into sorc and use quicken but it costs 3 sorc points so seems kinda expensive at least early game. I made several characters-1 of them is intended to be a sorlock starting out as a warlock and another as a pure sorc. Early warlock is much smoother. If you miss a couple of spells as a sorc, you’re just left with a couple of meh cantrips and low armor and melee attack. Probably will be much better later though.
The lads and I run on tactician and I go with a 12 Sorc and we rarely do long rests (even though we can almost every fight - we just maximize buff/potion effects) nor do I encounter spell slot problems (albeit going all out on boss fights).
I did run a sorlock but it got quite boring to just eldritch blast, eventually I did switch to 6 Sorc (Draconic) / 6 Cleric (Temp) as later levels of sorc doesn't really seem beneficial to me, unless you want more sorc points and higher level spells and the combo and damage you do with this build is quite fun. You can just cast haste or the potion for the extra action and just quickening when you really need to burst someone.
You can play around though if you squeezed the early Acts, you can enter Act 3 at level 12 which you can try builds since there's a hefty amount of encounters in it still.
@@TheDaemon2142 yeah seems like there’s a lot of trade offs since we cans only go to level 12. I was doing an oath breaker run with the plan to dip into warlock but it would need at least a 9/3 split for pact of the blade and I’d lose out on the divine smite upgrade.
You missed out the fact you donr ability improvement feat on lock 4 to raise dex / charisma

Add the lightning charge Staff from waukeens rest and it adds up to over 100 damage with 24 charisma. For single target burst 2 times upcastet scorching ray plus bonuses is way stronger than eldritch blast. So it's a waste to use it on Eldritch Blast.
This is funny but I also called my draconid Dark-Urge as Rhogar (9:19)
Build seems strong but clunky. It suffers from what a lot of the Sorlock builds do, basically they require a lot of setup. You want Haste or Hex, maybe a shreaking sword. Your going to lose an action or a bonus action round 1, so that you can do more damage round 2. Your level 3 slots are going to twinned haste or counterspell probably. But if you twin haste it is eating into your sorc points for quickening. With the extra 2 warlock levels to get the ASI and potentially 2 levels of fighter too we are also sacrificing more sorcery points. Like a nova build this build runs out of resources (sorcery points and haste slots) pretty quickly and needs to short rest. Unlike a NOVA build though, most of this damage doesnt take off till round 2. Meanwhile the sharpshooter ranger/rogue/fighter and the throw barb have already killed everything in a round with less DPR than we are trying to achieve on round 2. I'm currently running something similar to this on Gale as a Sorclock. I picked him over Wyll because Gale eventually can get adv on concentration checks. The thing is, twinned haste goes down, a few blasts go off, and the barb and ranger have killed everything before he gets to "lift off". This is like having an "I WIN" skill you can't use till round 2 but then recharges every short rest. Problem is when you optimize heavily most of the enemies are dead before you get to go again.

Heard in one of these videos that its potentially possible to get 5 uses of eldritch blast in 1 turn that hits 4 times per blast instead of 3! Cant remember which video, as for the life of me i cant find it. I know its possible to set off 4 blasts per turn that hit 4 times but not 5! Must be some sort of gear. This build is so broken it could potentially be patched, but then again pure warlock blaster without multi classing is a bit weak if you don't take the pact of chain or blade because both rely on different play styles. If warlock gave us an extra use of eldritch blast invocation per turn like melee characters do. Those guys can attack 6 or 7 times in 1 turn with the right gear and buffs, and that's not including counter attacks or attacks of opportunity.

Does getting 2 levels on Fighter first work as well? Then 2 on Warlock and then 8 on Sorc. I'm willing to sacrifice the extra damage from the Portent Robe for the extra AC of medium/heavy armour from Fighter, apart from Action Surge which is great.
Definitely would work, you'd lose a feat (and the robe if you choose) and gain action surge. It's a great option
If you got sorc first the game will make your saving throws Con and Charisma instead of Wisdom and Charisma if you started with a warlock
So if you have the Gemini Gloves to increase eldritch blast to four beams, you get haste and take two levels in fighter for the action surge and you quicken spell... Thats three actions and a bonus action of Eldritch blast for 16 beams right? Could you quicken spell twice in a round for 20? That'd be crazy to potentially do 20d10 + 100 damage in one round and push an enemy 90m 😂
You wouldn’t be able to quicken twice. You still only have one bonus action. Unless you could somehow also get three levels in thief rogue for second bonus action. lol

Honestly this build doesn’t really need feats as long as you get your charisma up to 20 then the rest is up to you, again with the spells it’s basically pick and choose what you like and match the element with your draconic bloodline as we won’t be using them too much we don’t need to worry about it although I will give you a tip and say instead of using hex later on you could use haste on yourself and/or someone else to get more actions if you do it on your self then you will get a lot more blasts in future turns as turn 2 if you kept concentration you can cast eldritch blast 3 times with 2 actions and your quickened spell
If you want some suggestions on spells though I will list a few really good ones here;
Shield
Haste
Counterspell
Armour of agathis for temp hp if you find yourself miss positioning a lot
As well as other general utility like featherfall for exploration as we don’t use spells offensively we don’t need to worry about the choices too much.
Again don’t worry about the feats and spells because as long as you get warlock to level 2 and pick agonising blast and get the robe you can’t really go too far wrong.
Missed the robe since the game made me feel like doing the nightsong was URGENT so it fked me

Does BG3 allow twinned spell to work ice knife?
In tabletop it doesn’t because Ice knife has that AoE which means it works on multiple targets. Same applies to eldritch blast.
I would guess it does since chromatic orb can be twinned and also has AOE depending on the type of damage you choose
Ice Knife can be twinned spells in BG3 yeah. I think for simplicity they made it so most single target\area spells can be.
As a DM I would definitely allow Twinned Spell on Ice Knife, it is a single target spell, the AoE is an after effect, not the target.

Recently rebuilt Astarion into a Rogue-Thief/Fighter-Champion. With two weapons he gets 6 regular attacks and I can use a bonus action to off-hand attack and then action surge.

This build is far more powerful in D&D 5E, where quickened spell forces your main action to be a cantrip. In BG3, pure sorcerer is probably stronger due to the ability to quicken high level spells.
However, I do feel like this is more powerful than a pure warlock build.
"Tome" is pronounced like "Ohm", not "Tomb"...
Also, if your first level is sorceror, you get proficiency with con saves, which helps with keeping concentration. It's also nice to go dragonblood for that built in, non dispellable mage armor that you don't have to cast.

I read it as the first 4 levels in Warlock, then the rest in Sorcerer. An Eldritch cannon will carry you through the first 4 levels easily so no need to get tricky bouncing back and forth.

A question, why not go fighter 2, rouge 3 (thief), sorc 5 and warlock 2? you can get a crazy amount of eldritch blasts off and with the cultivation elixirs (pop one, convert to sorc point, pop a different one rinse and repeat) and the angelic potions, the need for sorcery points would be met, and you could still hit 22 cha with the mirror of loss +hat. while you lose out on 2 feats that would have been ASI for CHA anyways, it would still have the other feat for anything you could want.
I love build crafting and your guide was very helpful so i figured I would ask.
Because not everything needs the fun min maxed out of it to beat this game even in honor mode

Your guide is not complete. You kinda stopped at lvl 5 sorc and lvl 4 lock. There's then still 3 levels to go. I guess you put those in sorc, but that would mean another feat, which you did not talk about. It's kinda what people would like to know if they are looking for a good build
