    Easily the best looking amp in the industry. As a kid I grew up thinking the Parasound look and design is what external amplifiers should be.
    I wish the made a JC7 3 x channel amplifier for my front Left, Center and Right sound stage.

    I would love to see you discuss the klipsch legend series , I was a dealer in the late 90s and early 2000s.
    I own KLF20s klfc7 ksps6s and ksw300, and have loved them for almost 25 years , but they seem to be overlooked buy many, a comparison with the forte iv would be interesting
    Thanks for all the great history, love your videos

      Thanks for watching! Not sure if we will dive into legend specifically, but we plan to do a history on the origin of the reference lines where I'm sure the legend series will be touched on. Trey gets to talking and you never know where he will go though so, stay tuned. Even I don't know what that one will look like ;)

      Thanks for watching! We've unboxed the Cary SLI-80 HS in an earlier video and that's what we used in almost all of the Heritage compares. We may do some of the English Audio amps as well as they become available. Stay Tuned!

    Love the unboxings. Short and to the point. The outtakes at the end are great. That thing is a beast. Is all that power needed as a home unit especially with the high sensitivity of Klipsch speakers?
    I’m powering Heresy’s with Proton’s AA1150 dual mono amp that I bought in ‘91. A very underrated unit. Great specs for 50 wpc according to Julian Hirsch’s review and lab tests in Stereo Review 30 yrs ago. Super low THD. It has a feature called Dynamic Power on Demand giving it extra power up to 324 watts into 8ohm for short peaks. Has two large VU meters that if I play music pushing more than 5 wpc, it’s clean sound but my ears bleed.

      Thanks for watching! Happy to hear you are enjoying the content and the outtakes! I always wonder how many people are sticking around long enough to see those. ;)
      As for your question, "needed" is a relative term. Two thoughts come to mind here. First off, headroom. If you have the additional power available, you're not redlining your system all of the time to get the performance you want or need. Your amp will run cooler, more efficiently, and tend to last longer as a result as well. Next, every home is different and every listener is different. Ear bleeding to some, is regular listening to others. Room size and distance from seating will have a huge impact as well.
      Needed or not will be heavily dependent on the person and the home.

    Pow-WAAAAAAAAAHH!!
    That 2 channel JC-5 weighs about the same as my 200W x 5 channel Outlaw Audio 7500. Holy Cow!
    The Parasound website says it can supply "90 amperes peak current per channel." Do you need to upsize your speaker wire for this bad boy? Does that ever become an issue with amps in this power range?

    • @TopShelfAudio
      @TopShelfAudio  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching! Upgrading speaker wire depends on what you're coming from, what you are powering, and what speakers you are running. Pushing RF7s with 1000ft of 24awg? Probably time for an upgrade. ;) Most cases, you're probably fine though. Check out our Q&As. We did a pretty deep dive into speaker wire talk and talked about how, much of the time, a lot of that marketing and "requirements" are kinda BS.

    Hi Jason, have you tried this amp with the Perlisten s7t? Seems to be a good fit power wise. Also have you guys used ATI’s signature 6000 series amps before? If yes any thoughts on those amps versus these?

    • @TopShelfAudio
      @TopShelfAudio  2 года назад

      Actually, yes. The JC5 is what we used in PerListen reviews in season 1. It was a great pair and made for some awesome listenings. I haven't personally had any experience with the ATIs but, if you're looking for something to pair with your S7Ts, look no further. The JC5 did great!

    Question? I own Forte iv's and was curious about matching The JC5 with it? Have you tried the. Together?

    • @TopShelfAudio
      @TopShelfAudio  Год назад +1

      The JC5 would be great with the Forte's. Super clean and tons of power/Plenty of headroom. I wouldn't recommend going out the gates full blast though...may blow an eardrum.

      Depending on what you have now, would probably take them to the next level. Not only a lot of power but, super clean power as well.

    did y'all do history with the Forte IV?

    • @TopShelfAudio
      @TopShelfAudio  2 года назад

      We did a history video before the IV released, then we did a compare of the III vs the IV. The history hasn't changed though so, didn't seem necessary to remake it. For sure some interesting information though. Check it out!
