I've been watching tons teaching vlogs lately, because I am a junior in college majoring in early childhood education. I must say that you have such a unique vlogging style!! It's making me so excited to become a teacher in the future :)
Thank you! It seems like I made this video ages ago haha. I've been daily vlogging for a while now and trying to be creative and unique. Are you going to be starting your student teaching next year for your senior year?
Yes keep the creativity and uniqueness!! It's so much more entertaining and fun to get ideas from! And not quite yet, I just wrapped up my sophomore year so I will be a junior in the fall.

I really liked the tip about setting a 10-minute timer in the morning. That was some really good advice as I do often get sidetracked in the morning. I will definitely try that this coming fall.
British teacher here just graduating and starting my first class in September! LOVE the timer idea! I get overwhelmed first thing in the morning and don't know where to start so that's such a good idea to get focussed. Thankyou!!!
No problem! The timer does really help me and I find that I get much more done when I set one.

I am currently majoring in early childhood education, and I must say your channel is helping me. I am one of the only males with this major and also in my town there are no male elementary school teachers. When I go on youtube, there is only female teacher vlogger. I am hoping to become the first male kindergarten teacher in my town.

First 20 minutes here. Can u break it down more and show more details? I pulled a small group today and had everyone working on making words, but each game board was at the level of each child. They LOVED it! You would have been so proud!

How dependent are your kids? I'm thinking about doing teaching as well as film at university but i'm not sure what age level to do.
do you do small groups based on ability level or another way? is math and reading groups organized differently? do you have bins for workboxes for math and seperate ones for reading?
not many male Kindergarten teachers. my neighbor teaches 4th grade and he says that there is a stigma concerning men and young kids. i never really thought about it myself. i had only one male teacher in all of grade school and he was great.

I love how big ur classroom is I going to school to become a special ed. Teacher I have mild cerebral palsy so I would love to have a big classroom so I can move around because I have cerebral palsy I have to be physical active because of my stiff and tight legs how did u end up with a big classroom

By the time i’m done with my bachelors in elementary education I would be 38 or 39 years old is that too old to be a early childhood education teacher

it is weird to see a boy teacher teach i normally have Girl teachers it is so cool that you wanted to be a teacher when i grow up i want to be a teacher too.😀

Once you get into middle school, you'll start to see more male teachers, especially in High School. I remember back when I was in elementary school, there were only two male teachers. I only had one of them as my teacher. But once you grow out of elementary school, you don't really pay attention to what gender is your teacher is.

Very true. We only had 1 male elementary school teacher. But middle and high school was a good mix. Personally I really enjoyed my male teachers, they usually made class a ton of fun!
You don’t see a lot of male elementary school teachers. But once you get into middle and high school, you will see more and more. I have 5 teachers right now and 3 of which are males. :)
What did that parent have to say about the field trip thing? Just curious.
The parent did not say anything at the time but I spoke to her at conferences and she agreed with the consequence. Since that time the student that could not go has been MUCH better!

I have to ask, how do you overcome a kid's math anxiety. A lot of people struggle with math later in life. The very word itself sounds so unpleasant. A five-year-old has possibly heard their older siblings or cousins complaining about their math homework or how they barely scrapped a C on their report card for whatever math subject they took.
Instead of "ignorance or defiance" I use the terms "skill or will", same thing but mine rhymes and has fewer syllables ;)

I see you have tattoos, did you ever have a problem finding a job due to that? Not judging just wondering.
My tattoos can all be covered up easily for job interviews so it was never a problem. Although now I feel that I would not want to work at a school or for a principal that wouldn't hire someone due to tattoos. In fact my first principal had more tattoos than me haha.
