I would like to thank this humble man for all his help the past few months, I recently installed a new WUR and FD kit on a Audi 2.5i 5cyl with CIS Kjet. After answering a million of my questions and going through every fault finding step as to why my engine would not fire up from the obvious kjet system to vacuum, fuel rate, pressure settings etc and everything in between it started up. I appreciate all the help via whatsapp at all times of the day.We don't have any KJet specialists in my country and rely on whats on the internet for info, so I give you the credit for getting my motor running again. Thumbs up for Grey Goose Restorations 👍🏻
Currently using an audi coupe with the 3A engine for a daily. Car sat for 16 year's in a garage. Only issues I have had with k-jet is the car starts up on the first crank quite aggressively and then taps whilst the lifters fill up. On the odd times that it will crank 3-4 times and will start alot smoother. The car always has rough idle aswell. I hope it is just pulling air past the injectors and new seals will solve the problem. Thanks for the videos. Really helpful in learning the k-jet systems.
All my old Audi´s have been sitting for years and not a single one refused to start with fresh fuel. That said you need experience to troubleshoot the system if faulty.
Reliable yes. They dont really like to sit much longer than that. I have a bunch that have gotten unhappy sitting. I definitely recommend a stabil type additive if it going to be sitting especially if there is any questionable fuel in it. I got a dormant 450slc running and it was good but I only addded 5 gallons of fresh fuel to whatever was in it. It ended up sitting for quite awhile at my shop and now it has serious issues i haven't gotten around to figuring out. Looks like clogged injectors though.
Very, I service them on a regular basis for exotic cars, such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, and others. Usually what happens is the enthusiast fires of parts cannon at the car and then it gets really expensive so you’re here at the saying “k-jet is crap” When in reality it would have been cheaper to let a qualified shop do the repairs.
At least a mechanic said he was Renault trained and knew nothing about kjet. So I walked 😊. Thanks for all the videos. I learnt alot and fixed my issues.
My Scirocco lives outside and started today first turn of the key after 4 months sitting idle.

Cool, hopefully it's just the injector seals or something simple like that
Yes, very reliable due to its simplicity

Very much so...I put 478,000 miles on a SAAB Turbo and it had a lot more to give but I had to sell to get out of jail.... Wish I had it back...
Thats some mileage, SAAB Turbos are pretty rapid too
Good to see. Was that e10 or e5 fuel, note you mentioned just normal fuel. I sometimes put e10 in my corrado when I cant find e5.
Would have been optimax don't tend to use anything else

Exactly, I've worked on many cars where that has been the case, garages who don't understand CIS and fling parts at it.

It's as reliable as the fuel condition.
My golf dont prime when the ignition is on, but starts and then primes none stop, how or what can I do to fix it?
Just don't leave ethanol gas in a pressurized system more than z few months without running the car. It gums up quickly.
What exhaust do you have on your car bud?
Its a LHD ABF tubular manifold, custom 2-1 down pipe then a trackslag 2 box performance system
How do I bleed my kjetronic system?
It's a self bleeding system, any air trapped in will just get pushed through and out the injector
Mine won’t 😞
That's no good
