This is not a movie, its a history, when i watched for first time it gave me many sleepless nights, such an wonderful masterpiece. The CGI stand for several decades. Not only actors, the Director, technicians and especially Background Music scorers, did an excellent job.
The scene where a somewhat tipsy Evelyn says "I am a librarian", well that just makes it for me. What a fun line and should be an instant classic- a librarian that can kick ass!

Was he supposed to know that? He took 'em cause unfortunately for him he was the one the mummy saw first and him being alone making him the perfect target.
Right? I think it's supposed to be a cheeky little joke for the audience. Like dramatic irony (from my googling: a literary technique by which the full significance of a character's actions are clear to the audience or reader although unknown to the character) I always assumed the eyes he took was why he thought she was his long-dead princess in this scene. Later after transforming with other bodies he knows it isn't her but still is reminded of her when he sees Evey - they do look similar :)
