I'm gonna forever hate FTWD for killing off Jake, Troy and Nick. It's like they were aiming to make me quit the show. I love Alicia and I'm sure other characters both new and old will be entertaining but Jake was the 'good guy' who's change throughout the show would have been amazing to watch... not to mention his relationship with Alicia and Troy both which were left unexplored. Troy was a psycho but a REALLY likeable psycho and Nick would have balanced him really well given time. And it would have been utterly unique to have someone with such a skewed morality on the 'good side'. As for Nick... well he was hands down the best character on the show in terms of morals and just how easy it would have been to take his character in ANY direction. So much potential wasted and all because FTWD wanted a higher and more dramatic kill count that TWD.
I seriously couldn't agree more, it's like you're reading my mind. I stopped watching the show after the killed Nick, I just couldn't bare to watch it anymore. I love Alicia but I couldn't bring myself to watch it just for her. I kinda like Strand as well but again, not a good enough reason. Season 4 went to a new low with ratings and it's so clear to see the show got a new writers. They made it into TWD which obviously didn't work. I don't understand how could they think that would a good thing. And killing off so many amazing characters with so much potential that were also fan favourite? That's just straight up dumb

They're dark and twisted and represent the saying 'actions have consequences' but blatantly just getting rid of characters who showed sooo much promise and then carrying on as if those deaths never even happened is just plain stupid. If they absolutely had to kill off Jake then his death should have affected both the storyline and Alicia and Troy way more. As for killing off Nick and Troy... well there was legit nothing that could ever make that action make sense. Killing Troy off in maybe s6 or 7 was something I would have hated but at least accepted. It would have made sense even, if done right but barely giving him a storyline and just killing him off for no reason?? Like what even was that. As for Nick... he's sorta the Daryl of the show killing him will never make sense unless it was in the last episode and his death resulted in world peace and the end of the walkers or something.

I understand that killing him was necessary because Frank wanted to leave but the way they killed him was again just stupid. Honestly I feel like since they already knew far ahead Frank was leaving they should have let Nick die on the dam, it would make more sense it would give him heroic death he deserved. I always felt like Jake would die, I wasn't happy about it but I sort of expected it sooner or later so it didn't shock me that much but they definitely should make his death matter more and affect the storyline and other characters but that was just so subtle it was barely noticeable. I just feel like a lot of mistakes were made but it feels like no one has learned from them and they keep making them again and again...

In FTWD, they killed Chris, Troy and Nick... The characters that could've done so much more... And don't get me started on TWD... Killing Carl was such a bad decision... And it killed the show.
Troy was really badass. So badass that he endured all kinds of injuries, lost people and was killed so coldly, in the series finale... That reminded me of Shane in part: stabbed in the stomach, bled to death at the hands of Madison (killed by a main character, as Shane also did). And this time Troy doesn't link at the beginning of his series like Shane, but he links at the end of his series, in a cold and stupid way You was the best character for me Goodbye Troy...
je ne regarde plus fear depuis la saison 4. je ne suis pas facilement touchée par la mort des personnage dans les séries mais la, Troy deux ans après je ne m'en suis toujours pas remise et nick... je crois que c'est juste la première fois que je pleure devant ma télé...s'ils ne sont plus la quel est l’intérêt de la série? je les aimais tellement tout les deux, les voir mourir comme ça sans raison, alors que Troy DEVAIT survivre c'est trop dur, c'est injuste. il y avait encore tellement de choses a faire avec ce personnage, on commençait juste a le connaitre et a découvrir son coté fragile et humain... je suis écœurée de cette série, je ne peut tout simplement plus regarder ça sans eux.

I freaking love him; every role I've seen him in, he does really well. Troy is a psycho for sure, missing a few marbles and has severe mommy issues but he was likeable!
