Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on RUclips. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. Some have referred to this as a rehearsal and I will be happy to be corrected by someone who Knows but I found out this was no rehearsal but a scheduled performance with recording this performance being the purpose. KORK is the Norwegian National Orchestra known as the Norwegian Radio Orchestra & I don't believe I have heard this performed with this arrangement with these particular members in a live event. She did do a live performance of "Summertime" with the full Orchestra. Correct me if I'm wrong. I have recently learned that KORK actually contacted Angelina for the purpose of this recording plus several others. I'm guessing National Orchestra requested her because of her talent and because she was declared by Norway as a National Treasure shortly after winning Norway's Got Talent. I believe this booking was arranged for the purpose of this recording. It's on her Album as well as others for a project KORK was doing. Thus the scheduled time slot. I'm guessing the arrangement was made ahead of time and each party was working with this. Angelina was informed the night before I believe and had the night and next day before the performance to make the changes. I believe she worked on it that evening but didn't quite finish it. She visited an amusement park on the day of and before the performance. I've watched video of her in an interview at the park with a friend. It looks like they had the whole park to themselves. She finished the lyrics on the ride to the recording session. The remarkable thing is that the lyrics fit so well they had no need to change the arrangement. I believe this performance was the second take. Again I will be happy to be corrected on this if I am wrong but regardless this performance was typical Angelina Magic. Thanks for your first reaction to my all time favorite musical artist, Angelina Jordan Astar. The day before this recording session, Angelina's mother read the Amy Winehouse lyrics and told her daughter she couldn't sing them. Undaunted, Angelina went straight to work, writing completely new lyrics. She went to the recording session and only needed two takes to make this video. Angelina was 10 years old. We have seen countless musical prodigies, but I don't know of any to compare to Angelina. Not only did she teach herself to sing, but she always creates her own arrangements and instructs the musicians how she wants the song to go. Now at age 18, she has told us she has written more than 100 songs and we have been blessed by 13 of them so far. I am certain most angels (fans) will request either "I Put a Spell On You" (11 million views) or "Bohemian Rhapsody" with over 100 million views, for your next reaction.

Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on RUclips. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz.
Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.

At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on RUclips went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on RUclips. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Angelina Jordan is 10 in this "Back to Black" video, in which she modified quite a bit of the lyrics, as her mother Sara didn't like how the original song had parts that were bad for an under-18 year old. She's playing with the KORK Orchestra, which is an orchestra based out of Norway.
She's a quick producer. She has 200+ songs and many more clips of other songs, totaling over 500+ on RUclips. Her birthdate is January 10, 2006, as she turned 18 earlier this year.
Her first television debut was on Norske Talenter, or NGT, when she was 7, and she turned 8 when the contest was over. She sang four songs, and she won that contest, by the way.
Now, as far as why she was barefoot during the performance, she hasn't worn shoes on stage while she's performing after her incident with this girl she met while she was in the Middle East when she was 6. She was with her mother when they passed this girl, who was maybe 7; she was on the side of a street, and she was weighing people for money. She walked over to the girl and took her lime green boots off to get onto the scales, and she noticed that the girl didn't have any shoes on and that one of her feet had cuts on them. Towards the end of her time on the scales, she told the girl to try on the shoes, as she said that they were a little too small for her. The girl turned her down at first, but with Angelina's insistance, she put them on. She totally loved them. They talked for awhile before, during, and after, and the girl asked her what she wanted to do in the future, and she said she wanted to sing and become a superstar. She asked the girl the same question and found out the girl wanted to become a doctor, but she couldn't because her mom and little brother had passed away, so she had to work to help out her other brothers and sisters. Angelina Jordan told the girl, "Don't be sad; never give up." The girl said that she would always pray for Angelina Jordan. Based on what probably happened within’ a 1/2 hour of time, Angelina Jordan decided, at the age of 6, that she shouldn’t wear shoes while she performed in the future, so that she could help out people like the “princess in ruins,” which is what she gave as the little girl’s nickname in her book.
That’s a very shortened and paraphrased version of the story that she had transcribed from her journals when she was 6 to where she became the author of a book called “Between Two Hearts,” which was published when she was 9. That just shows you some of the empathy Angelina Jordan has, but that also gives her the name "The Barefoot Princess."

First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Etta James,Whitney Houston, and Adele to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, "Wow, what a rendition!" Her family and Republic Records had agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. From what we know, she is finally done with school. She had a single that came out May 5th called Love Don't Let Me Go, a new EP called Old Enough that came out Friday, July 21st, 2023, a newly released video of her new song called Now I'm The Fool, and a new album of original music which will be coming out some time this year. Angelina released her new single, Our Time, and is fantastic! She returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. Many of the fans there said she sounded better live in person and was a once in a lifetime experience. On September 22, 2023, Angelina had her first U.S. concert that sold out in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. On December 11, 2023, she was asked to come back and perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. She first performed at this prestigious event in 2014 when she was 8. On Feb.29th, 2024, she performed 2 shows on one night at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. A film crew followed her and created a documentary of her called Angelina Jordan: 10 Years In The Making which premiered on her official RUclips channel on March 29th, 2024.
Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to sing for the whole world, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. One of the reasons why we love her so much!

She had this recording session with Kork (Norwegian Radio Orchestra) scheduled and her mother got a look at the lyrics for the song and said you're not going to record those lyrics. So, Angelina, with about 24 hours to go wrote new lyrics for the song and finished them in the car on the way to the recording session. The new lyrics fit so well that the orchestra didn't have to make any changes to their arrangement.

Angelina won Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 yrs old after starting the competition at 7 yrs old. The youngest winner of any Got Talent show on the planet. She had to wait two years because you had to be 7 yrs old to enter. She started with a rendition of Billie Holiday's 'Gloomy Sunday' which she just infused with Billie's soul. She followed this by another Billie classic with a pitch perfect rendition of 'I'm a Fool to Want You' acapella. Her next performance was a beautiful rendition of 'Bang, Bang' by Sonny & Cher and performed most famously by Nancy Sinatra. Some have referred to this as a rehearsal and I will be happy to be corrected by someone who Knows but I found out this was no rehearsal but a scheduled performance with recording this performance being the purpose. KORK is the Norwegian National Orchestra known as the Norwegian Radio Orchestra & I don't believe I have heard this performed with this arrangement with these particular members in a live event. She did do a live performance of "Summertime" with the full Orchestra. Correct me if I'm wrong. I have recently learned that KORK actually contacted Angelina for the purpose of this recording plus several others. I'm guessing National Orchestra requested her because of her talent and because she was declared by Norway as a National Treasure shortly after winning Norway's Got Talent. I believe this booking was arranged for the purpose of this recording. It's on her Album as well as others for a project KORK was doing. Thus the scheduled time slot. I'm guessing the arrangement was made ahead of time and each party was working with this. Angelina was informed the night before I believe and had the night and next day before the performance to make the changes. I believe she worked on it that evening but didn't quite finish it. She visited an amusement park on the day of and before the performance. I've watched video of her in an interview at the park with a friend. It looks like they had the whole park to themselves. She finished the lyrics on the ride to the recording session. The remarkable thing is that the lyrics fit so well they had no need to change the arrangement. I believe this performance was the second take. Again I will be happy to be corrected on this if I am wrong but regardless this performance was typical Angelina Magic. Thanks for your first reaction to my all time favorite musical artist, Angelina Jordan Astar. The day before this recording session, Angelina's mother read the Amy Winehouse lyrics and told her daughter she couldn't sing them. Undaunted, Angelina went straight to work, writing completely new lyrics. She went to the recording session and only needed two takes to make this video. Angelina was 10 years old. We have seen countless musical prodigies, but I don't know of any to compare to Angelina. Not only did she teach herself to sing, but she always creates her own arrangements and instructs the musicians how she wants the song to go. Now at age 18, she has told us she has written more than 100 songs and we have been blessed by 13 of them so far.
I am certain most angels (fans) will request either "I Put a Spell On You" (11 million views) or "Bohemian Rhapsody" with over 100 million views, for your next reaction.

Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes.
Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.
