Getting the bindings figured out is a never-ending process. I like to look at all the available bindings, make a list of all the ones I might like to have on the HOTAS, and prioritize that list. Then start to place the high-priority stuff on the HOTAS. Play with that configuration for awhile, figure out what didn't work, and change it. By the time you've played through all the available content for that plane, you might have a half-decent binding profile. Then you'll come back to it a few years later and wonder what the hell you were thinking and start over.
Do you use voiceattack or did you map Everything?
I mapped pretty much everything. I think only RWR volume adjustment and communications with wingmen and ATC were on the keyboard.
Then i have to streamline my mappings. I just startef with dcs and lesrn what i need. Using a rented warthg hotas.
