You asked some great questions that most potential buyers should be asking. Good to see the 500 offers more features than just an extra 150cc displacement over it's 350cc model. I hope these bikes do well for Harley. I look forward to your test ride.
Great rundown of these new models. Pretty interesting when you look at equipment and tech of these, despite the small engine, has better appointment than their larger bikes costing 5 to 10 times the price.
The X500 is a nice little bike, unfortunately the seat height is too tall for my stubby legs. It's taller than my old BMW (785mm with low seat) compared to X500's 820mm. Good price, however. Super overview, Roger. Ride well. Cheers
Street 500 was a v-twin that sounded phenomenal with an aftermarket exhaust. This doesn't hold a candle to that bike. What we're looking at here is a company taking advantage of its loyal customer base by giving them a cheaper bike for the same money. Shame on you Harley Davidson.
I agree. I had a great sound on my S500 years ago. I somewhat agree with your comments regarding HD’s strategy, however in this day and age most business models follow this unfortunate trend to survive. That doesn’t make it right of course. I fully understand why costs increase each year, fundamentally though I have an issue with margin strategies. If you begin with huge, greedy margins, and then manufacturing costs increase, well then the consumer cost will never land at a reasonable point. Personally I think that most bikes on the market are way overpriced, and HD obviously play a part in that.
They look cool, like retro Kawasaki's.
Please!! 😂
You know if I were ever to go again….this is the way I’d go
The fact that you said if you were ever to go that way, gives me a glimmer of hope 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Already entered a comp to win one 😂
Go for it! ✌️
I sure hope the X- series brings some new blood to the MoCo. They sure look like a nice bit of kit.
They’ve done their homework in my opinion, albeit with a borrowed design.
Time will tell! ✌️

Thanks mate. I really believe that learners should at least take a close look at these. ✌️
Pricing is keen and on par with the competition. The 500 looks OK, not sold on the looks of the 350, much prefer the look of my Meteor 350.
Yeah, good points mate. Some tyres, grips and an after market exhaust on the 500 and it’d be cool! ✌️
Mate a suspension lift and a set of knobbiest on the 500 would be a giggle great vid Roger cheers
Yep, that would be the go
Ooh, 💯!

Yeah, odd eh?!
These things are perhaps a little over priced, however there’s plenty of value there! ✌️
Great looking lams bikes, thanks for your review of them.
Yeah, great for a learner, although depending on where and how you ride the 500 could be someone’s main bike?

Great points mate, much appreciated. ✌️
Cool little bikes 👍
💯✌️
Very nice X500 LAMS Harley! I’d love one whilst I’m on my restricted license 😁👍🏼
Yeah, they’re a nice and very well balanced bike.
Hopefully they can make a go of it. would be nice to see it in North America. Cheers
I’m confident of it doing well here in Australia, not sure about the US and Canada?
Who ever thought a Chinese buzz box would be a lead-in to large capacity V twin ?
😂😉✌️
Hey kid, come here. I got something for ya. No it won't suck you in motorcycling. ;)
😉😂
Hmmm I think NIGHTSTER design for 350cc and 500cc would have been good. Just my 2 cents thoughts only
Interesting. I think for learners they needed to go for a more upright setup, like the 500?
