  • Scale insects are a large and diverse group of insects that are important in our North American landscapes. These sap-feeding insects attack a variety of landscape and garden plants, impacting overall aesthetic value and vigor. In this talk, we will discuss common scale insects in the eastern United States and their impacts. We will also introduce frequently employed prevention and control methods.
    Kendra Wagner, Ph.D., Research Scientist, Rainbow Ecoscience
    Kendra Wagner is a Research Scientist with Rainbow Ecoscience. Before attending Mississippi State University for a Ph.D. in Forest Entomology, she completed a BS in Forestry with a minor in Urban Forestry. She has a background in arboriculture and urban forestry. Kendra works to inspire innovative research projects and provide science-backed industry solutions.
