Wisdom is a she in scripture, because God created she, Eve, as a helper to Adam. Wisdom is a helper to us and is displayed as such.

Proverbs 8 sounds like the description of the holy Spirit. I'll pray for wisdom on this one. Is there a feminine in Trinity God the Father the son and the Holy Ghost ?

Right? But the Holy Spirit is referred to as a "He" in the New Testament. It makes sense from *our* perspective for the Holy Spirit be a woman. However, I don't think it is. Solomon was inspired by the Holy Spirit in writing Proverbs, but that doesn't mean he's actually referring to it in Proverbs 8 - despite the connection that can be made. I personally consider how, if we're made in "God's image," and we all have a mind, body, and soul, maybe God's equivalent is Father (mind) Christ (body) and Holy Spirit (soul.) I have no idea if that's even in the ballpark though.
Have you not heard of the feminine aspect of the Holy Trinity, the basis for family? The pronoun was made masculine later. Dig deeper.
I don't personally hold tot he trinity doctrine however you are correct that the Holy Spirit was originally seen as feminine. When, you realize that, it makes sense why princess Zelda is always the bearer of the triforce of wisdom in the legend of Zelda games 😆
If you read Wikipedia and see the related pictures of ancient times about wisdom only a woman is shown representing wisdom not a man. Also, you took up the question if if she is not applicable then why (he) or (it)was not used

Why do many teachers use wisdom interchangeably with Christ? Seems very confusing since wisdom is personified as a woman in Proverbs. Jesus is definitely wise, an understatement, my thought is that teachers should not use Christ and wisdom interchangeably. Or are there scriptures that support using the two interchangeably?
Hi Janice. You can literally google the question 'Is Proverbs 8 about Jesus?' or Who is Proverbs 8 about?' and get a bunch of links from different people and different denominations saying that it is. (About Jesus)
Wouldn't generally interchange Jesus and wisdom, however, there are verses that link the two. 1 Corinthians 1:24 calls Jesus "the wisdom of God." Also Proverbs 8:30 which calls Jesus a "master worker", ties in to verses that explain Jesus' role in the creation. For example Hebrews 1:2: "...THROUGH WHOM he (the Father) made the system of things." And Psalm 148:5: "He (the Father) commanded, and they were created." (Capitals mine for emphasis)

In the old testament there's a female angel in a vision. In the beginning lady wisdom watched the lord make all things ... so I'd have to dismiss besides there's a few examples of female demons in the Bible but there can't be male or female angels? Please

but, the etymology of Proverbs 8:22 presents an intriguing breakdown. According to the NET footnote, the Hebrew word קָנָה (qanah) has two distinct meanings: "to possess" and "to create." Older English versions were unaware of the latter meaning but suspected its necessity in certain passages (e.g., Gen 4:1; 14:19; Deut 32:6). Ugaritic texts confirmed the existence of this second root. The earlier translations used "possess" to avoid implying that God lacked wisdom and therefore created it at the beginning, as they wanted to assert the eternal nature of wisdom. Arius favored the idea of Christ as the wisdom of God and thus chose the translation "create." Athanasius translated it as "constituted me as the head of creation." In Proverbs, the verb appears twelve times with the meaning of "to acquire," while the Greek and Syriac versions use "create." Though the concept is that wisdom existed before creation, the parallel ideas in these verses, such as "appointed" and "given birth," support the translation of "create" or "establish" (R. N. Whybray, "Proverbs 8:22-31 and Its Supposed Prototypes," VT 15 [1965]: 504-14; and W. A. Irwin, "Where Will Wisdom Be Found?" JBL 80 [1961]: 133-42).
To summarize, even if Yeshua is not the "Wisdom" referred to in Proverbs 8:22, both translations of "qanah" (create or attain) still suggest that the Father once lacked wisdom. There's no way to avoid this implication. Therefore, it is logical to attribute that honor and joy to Yeshua, the firstborn creation, the first Word ever spoken, the Logos, fulfilling the role of Wisdom for the Father as described throughout the entire chapter of Proverbs 8. Arius was correct, and the sooner we acknowledge the validity of Arianism, the sooner we will reclaim those who have been led astray by actual deceptions like Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Oneness Pentecostals, Unitarians, and others.

I think you have not read the epic of Gilgamesh in which there is an incidence when it is it is said that once ink to had made love with the woman he had become wise or the wisdom was in him and he had become like gods. I think this video of yours is focusing on convincing man that woman just can't represent wisdom.
I am sorry to say you need to do more research on this topic and then come back with a new video on the same topic.
Oh my goodness you blatantly change the word of God
Wisdom is often referred to as "she" in Proverbs because Solomon knew that God often gave him wisdom in the form of a woman (mother, wife, etc.)! Simple as that. More men should be aware of this because they miss out on receiving a lot of wisdom from God because it's packaged in a feminine form who they are underestimating (wife, mother, daughter, aunt, friend, attractive woman, etc.).
@1:19 - Abel's blood literally cries out to the Lord from the ground and He can hear it just like He can hear us "crying out" to Him even when we're not speaking words (Romans 8:26-27)! The Bible is way more literal than most people believe or teach. It's not wise to try to "explain away" supernatural stuff or what's hard to understand in the Bible by saying that it's only a "figure of speech" and not to be interpreted literally. Jesus told His disciples that He would no longer be using figures of speech!

Romans 8:26-27 - 'And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. '
I would agree with you about Abel's blood. It should not have been explained away as a simple figure of speech. God told Noah that the soul of a human, and even that of an animal was in it's blood. Then with Moses God reinforced the command that the blood being put onto the altar, although animal blood was to be respected because of the atoning value for their sins. Then St Paul wrote that all of this became a tutor leading to Christ, whose blood became the perfect sacrifice superior to animals and all other humans because no other human could become the Equivalent of Adam and everything that was lost for the human race because of original sin. This is why also attention should be given to the contrasting chapter on immorality.

I say what scriptures say, wisdom is portrayed with feminine words, she/her, and not just one or two places. This shouldn't be a problem for people who believe the word.
Read proverbs chapters 1 thru 9. While i believe God has both "gender" attributes, we see this in the "Father" aspects thru out the word but also nurturing "mother" qualities, (numbers 11, Isaiah 66, deut 32).
I believe these aspects are set forward for the sake of man and his understanding. To help man understand the ramifications of God's love.
God is who He is, and Love is Love. We do what is necessary for those we love regardless of stereotypical roles of male and female.
But to deny the feminine qualities of wisdom is despicable. Denying the validity of the actual wording from scripture simply because you hate femaleness and by this you make God out to be just like you. This person has the need for woman to be set second to himself and kept there. He sees himself superior to women.
God created man in His own image and man returned the favor and created God in his own image....

Wisdom is grammatically feminine in English, so are kingdoms and ships.
English doesn't have grammatically gendered words.

Wisdom is personified as a female because they were speaking about a female... A real person they were describing and this was a PROPHECY for what is to come.
She is one of the TWO WITNESSES that is mentioned in Revelations and she is called WISDOM because she will come at a time when the meaning of ALL scriptures has been perverted and interprets by man according to his own LIMITED knowledge and bias....

Her wisdom is not hers, but rather a blessing bestowed upon her by God after suffering through many hardships.... Many of which are detailed in other scriptures and ancient texts.... Including scriptures that son of man felt it appropriate to remove from the Bible.
Although the devil worked hard to pervert this Prophecy so that many would be misguided at End Times.... In these scriptures and texts remained a common theme of a specific story.
This story was allegorical but a detailed account of specific events that happened in her life and can be proven as such.
When she is commands by her Lord to make herself known, she will have with her ALL of the texts that mentioned her story along with the real human proof showing that she is but a moral that achieved true gnosis and wisdom by turning to her Creator sincerely and wholeheartedly.
Furthermore, she will have the key to the puzzle and have the ability to decide text that NONE in history before have.

In case you haven't read THAT part.... Scripture says "she was a Canaanite her father was an Amorite and her mother was a Hittite".... Those are specific details that can only be applied to human.

Wisdom emanates from God.
Wisdom was qanah or birthed.
Wisdom was created.
Wisdom is a Spirit that emanates from God.
God birthed Wisdom.
Why is Wisdom personified as a Woman, because Wisdom will ultimately rest or dwell in the heart of the chosen Woman.
"The creator/Wisdom, my maker rest in my tabernacle."-Sirach24:12
In order for Wisdom the Spirit that emanates from God, to dwell in the heart of the chosen Woman, the heart must be "hewn" first by Seven Swords/Pillars or Seven Sorrows.-Proverbs9:1
The heart of the chosen Woman will be pierced by swords, seven sorrows or pillars, and after this, Her heart is now ready, the Wisdom/Holy Spirit is now ready to dwell and rest in Her tabernacle or heart.-Sirach24:12
Who is the chosen Woman whose immaculate heart was hewn or pierced by seven pillars or sorrows?
Wisdom or Holy Spirit descended to Jesus at baptism at Jordan River, that's why He personified Wisdom, but only temporarily, after Jesus redemptive mission was finished, the Holy Spirit or Wisdom return to the Throne where the Father is. And so, Jesus said, if He ascend to Heaven, He will ask the Father to send it back, and Wisdom will look for a heart to dwell, where?
In the Upper Room, the Holy Spirit/Wisdom saw the immaculate heart of the chosen Woman, already hewn by seven sorrows, and She finally have a dwelling place where She can finally rest. -Proverbs9:1
Who is the chosen Woman, whose Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart became worthy dwelling place of the Holy Spirit the Spirit of Created/Birthed Wisdom?
I am afraid, only Catholic can answer this question, because bible believing Christian, will be shock to know, more so accept this Truth, a mystery hidden to all fools, but reveal only to those who love and behold the chosen Woman as Jesus commanded at the Foot of the Cross.

Are the keys to grasp this mystery and ofcourse Wisdom7 and 9 will help us and lead us, to understanding, that the Spirit of Wisdom who seated at the Throne, will one day perfectly,completely and mystically united to the chosen Woman, as in perfect union.
And that union was already fulfilled when the chosen Woman was assumed into Heaven, for Her to sit on the Throne, as the Sovereign Queen of Heaven and Earth.

If Jesus is the word of God, Shouldn’t this mean Jesus is the wisdom of God?
I think spirits are viewed as genderless in ancient Jewish, Hebrew faith. Sometimes a job like Angel is rendered in male terms as an honorific. Probably Wisdom is rendered due same honorific terms. The oldest woman in the village is who you go to for wisdom so kinda makes sense for spirit of wisdom to be rendered in feminine terms in either cause of poetic terms or actual angel, spirit. Spirits don't have bodies and aren't animal life so don't have gender in Christianity, at least in Catholicism as I understand Catechism.
The holy spirit is feminine. God is Duality- the Father and Mother.

He should not have loosely associated the words wisdom and sophia with a "godess" because it is obvious that some people will do that or even with false gods. But anyone who reads the Bible is supposed to view it from the start as the word of "GOD" "The True One" but many people have accused Catholics of elevating the virgin Mary to the status of a godess, but that is a misconception/distortion. He mentions at the beginning of the video, the Jehovah's Witnesses, who have gone to the other extreme and refuse any honor given to Mary and they argue that her assumption into heaven was impossible, as if God cannot do whatever He wants with His Mother. And through their arguments they keep the entire human race in an abased condition, not allowing them to believe that their nothingness is loveable enough to receive eternal life! This is also the view of many Jews and Muslims etc.... But is not true of Christianity in general and why many Christians do not accept Jehovahs Witnesses as Christians. Author Thomas Merton was one of them who did not think much good of them if anything, the way he found good in all other religions. The Jehovahs Witnesses claim that they are the only true religion and it is wrong to say that there is good in every religion. This is extremely dualistic thinking for a group who refuse to take up arms to defend their claim and one of the reasons why they are attacked so hostilely by other religions and even other Christians. Chapter 23 of Thomas Merton's book "New Seeds of Contemplation" says that God has told us that the soul of the virgin Mary was absolutely full of the most perfect created holiness. Merton explains best he could that Mary is nothing in the presence of Christ, of God but this fact is often forgotten by Catholics themselves. So, he goes on to explain how we can understand why those who are not Catholic think that Catholics are treating her as if she were on a level with Christ Himself. On P. 170 Merton maintains that Mary's chief glory is in her nothingness, in the fact of being the "Handmaid of the Lord"..........

Proverbs fits perfectly with The Book of Wisdom which is found in the Catholic Bible. It talks about how (Sophia)Wisdom was in the beginning with The Heavenly Father Himself.
She was created by The Heavenly Father Himself. It seems there was a divine family back then. The Father with son and daughter.

And Jesus after His redemptive mission is over, gave up the Sprit of Wisdom and it return to Her Throne in Holy Mountain.
Jesus overcomes death, His human soul, now shown His divinity, when He descended into Hell or Hades, showing to souls in prison, who He really is, and after His resurrection, He further shown His divinity by breathing the Holy Spirit or Wisdom, showing He and the Father can breath the Holy Spirit, because the Spirit of Wisdom both emanates from the Father and the Logos.
