Having an SE in an iPhone 14 format doesn’t really make sense because that market is already taken by the flagship line, so arguably it wouldn’t attract many new customers. Having it take the mini form would fill that gap and bring people holding onto their older small devices to upgrade.
@@ostrovskiarturBut there’s a market for smaller phones too like a handy second phone or a work only phone that’s also as fast as the bigger ones. They should definitely make a phone like that since bigger phones are already in abundance.

They should just re-release the iPhone 13 mini with a new CPU, call it SE 4 and be done with it. I absolutely hate the size of my new 16, but my 13 mini was broken.
@@sonhuynh8222 I could have. Decided I wanted newer tech as well. Have gotten somewhat uesd to the 16 Pro, the cameras at least are great. Don't need the rest.
You're right. What will happen: The SE4 will release w/ 6.1 inch display and all base iPhones in the future will be 6.3 inches to match the new base "pro" size. This will make the 6.1 seem smaller. This is what Apple is betting on...
From a guy still using a iphone 8 and still loves it for its small form factor i do agree with you fully and looking forward to seeing such a device on the market once more
100% agree with you. I feel like a lot of people don’t get it. I have had multiple sales people in stores erroneously tell me that the iPhone minis were 6.1” so getting a new 6.1” isn’t bigger 😂Ok sure buddy. Back when I got the iPhone 6s Plus I had so many people tell me “Whoa that thing is huge, is that a table?!” That phone is smaller than my wife’s iPhone 11 body, and the screen even smaller than that. I’ll be hanging onto my iPhone 13 mini until this arms race for the biggest screen is seen as the fad that it is, and small becomes trendy again. It’s always a cycle with these things.
The SE is a niche phone. The original SE (which I still use) was marketed for those who liked the small size of the 5 and also the entry-level phone. There are no other models in the lineup like that. If they will sell the SE as a 14 without a .5 camera, it will notake sense since there really is no target market for it since they are selling the 14 and 15 which are also the same size. The mini (which I mainly use) is the sensible size since it will not cannibalize the other products and will also fill that gap for people who likes smaller phones and those who wants a cheap iPhone which is the same formula of the original SE which sold well.
Asking for 5.4" iPhone repeatedly and then the sales numbers do not reflect the demand. Not sure why would they take a bet again, when 6.1" form factors are already best-sellers. We should now start exiting our small echo-chamber of 5.4" Form Factor one by one!
@@techno_eclipse These leaks would turn out to be true, and it'll be a banger of a device (generally and in terms of sales numbers) unless the in-house 5G Modem has any major flaw (chances are low though). You'll get one, I'll get one, most should get one!
Nice one. Yea, as a fellow small hands guy its sad to see that the smallest phones made in 2024 are still over 6 inches. I dont understand why anyone would go for the SE 4 if its big
The initial SE launch was primarily marketed as the popularity of “4 inch phones.” I couldn’t even imagine a company releasing a 4 inch phone in 2025 😂😂
iPhone 13 mini. Period. That’s the “se”. Should be. ❤

They should make se line which is same size as flagship, and then mini line which is same specs as flagship but mini sized. Make us pay for small premium phones. I would still buy.
I don't know how it can be under $500 and effectively be better than a 14 in every way except missing a wide-angle lens, and that is being sold now for $629. I believe it would be closer to that price.
I just wanted to point this out; the iPhone SE is no longer an iPhone SE if it has all these new features. Then it would cannibalize the flagship lineup, as well as the fact that the whole reason and SE is cheap is because it uses an old design of the previous models. There's a reason the SE 2 and SE 3 are the budget iPhones... (ofc, because they use the old iPhone 8 design).
Nah dude... I will take the 6.1 inch display anyday coz it will also have a bigger battery. I have seen people with 12 mini complaining about their poor battery life.
the branding of the "SE" now is gone, the small size is basically what makes it an SE, eventually they just made another iPhone 14 with a different name 😂 they really know how to fool people
@@techno_eclipse honestly i rather get 14 or 15 second hand or refurbished only the chipset and AI updates don't really matter a lot in terms of normal usage
iPhone 13 mini, se4 sucks due to my legally blind eye. As for my small hands, a no go. Form & function is my name not big phones hanging over my pockets. What’s next, large pockets clothing designed for large phones, $ wasted.
Small handed people are loud af about their need for small phones but the sales never reflect this "love" And by your own words, it will not be a banger at that miniscule size just like 12 Mini and and 13 mini weren't and the 14 Plus was an immediate success. Even most tiny handed people prefer bigger screens and batteries. What's more is repair cost for these terrible mini phones is higher than regular and plus models but up-to 30%. my sister got a 12 Mini despite me voting against it. She barely ever wants to use it and always goes for her office phone with is 6.7 inches. Battery health is now at 73% and I checked prices for replacement battery, I was shocked to find that prices were much much higher for Mini variants than normal and Plus. And no getting your battery replaced by Apple is daylight robbery so that phone will probably never see a new battery at these atrocious prices. Like it or not, Tiny phones are waste of materials and they simply suck.
small phones are a niche market, was never gonna dominate sales. If it would have, then the market wouldnt be going bigger and bigger every year idk where u got ur info from but the 14 plus was not a success, it preformed significantly worse than expected. As for battery prices, though it may depend on where you live, just looking at ifixit and amazon, the prices for 13 vs normal/pro are identical, its like $20-30USD ($40 on ifixit) across the board.
Agreed. PLEASE MAKE SE FROM THE MINI.

Cost . Cheaper than the 16 . Better battery life than the SE and mini series . A good general phone for all 😊
Considering everything else besides the size of the phone, id say the SE 4 is a win for us customers

Yeah. It is very unlike Apple to release a model that has better specs and a cheaper price than a model released only 2 years back
