Lmk if I missed any links
Also did you notice when Mark gets out the plates to make dinner he instinctively brings out three instead of two 🥲
Oh crap. I could've gone on unbeknownst to that for the rest of my life but yikes😭
"and Shrinking Rae becomes the NEXT MEAL WE TALK ABOUT"
was an absolutely hilarious transition. The timing is so good.
But hey that’s just a Theory, A Food Theory!
Bon Appétit! 🍽
Sounds oddly familiar swear I have heard that somewhere 🤔💭
I like food
Finally someone talking about Amber and not just giving her unneeded shit. Also Shrinking Rae is your favorite? You're the strongest of us.
I liked your analysis of the first season, but you really out did yourself with season 2. Your take on Amber was pretty refreshing bc ik that many people, myself included, thought they completely rewrote her in season 1. Eve and Adam representing optimism and realism just makes so much sense and is why the audience in that scene knows that Adam is right even of they hate his reactions to Eve. Debbie having to chew Oliver's food before giving it to him might hint to their closer relation or possibly her manipulating Oliver to be more like her.
I literally saw your first Invincible food video in my recommended yesterday and found you channel from there. Talk about perfect timing
I just realised I watched that on a different account too but YT still recommended this to me as soon as it came out
@@DarwinskiYT you gotta comment with the alt account now to drive up Engagement
Dude your analyses are so master class! This deserves way more views and I was JUST as traumatized at Rae’s death as you were.
*Certain* People don’t care how well-witten Amber is because they don’t like the change of her being Black. She's been forced into the "Angry Black Woman' Stereotype. She def has a right to be mad at Mark, but that will always be ignored...
I should add that, even in the comics, Amber wasn’t well liked. But the vitriol that the wider fandom has for Amber has multiplied since she’s been changed to a Black Woman, and its obvious.
FUCKING
THANK YOU
I'm saving that particular argument for a later video either addressing that stereotype itself, or Mark and Amber's whole thing, whichever comes first. You are absolutely right, it's part of what has me so angry about this stuff in the first place.
I cant lie, the last one helped me gain an even deeper appreciation for the show than i already had, Very excited to watch this one!
Shrinking Rae may have ended up being a meal, but she was a snack on her own before
Pizza is now cannibalism! I do not know what it is but damn this long video is so good on telling me how food can connect to everyone.
Thank you a pipe in my house burst and my whole family was running around in a panic trying to turn it off and now afterwards I get to eat this!
Potential Spoilers
Allen's girlfriend isn't the mole in the comics. Its one of the computer aliens at the front desk. They could change it.They've changed many things. Thats just how it goes in the comics.
Honestly, I don't really see the Viltrumites using a spy that wasn't their own species, considering that they're, well, them
@@hairlessgrizzly559 Im just saying how it went in the comics.
In the show, not all the workers at the viltrumite prison appear to be viltrumites. Its not that out of left field for them to use other species for menial tasks.
Plus (spoilers), in the comics its revealed that viltrumites are endangered. There aren't many of them left
Great sequel! Sad you didn't include when Rudy and Monster Girl went to get burgers. It's such a sweet little scene of her teaching him how to be human and the greatness of the simple pleasures in life. I actually think they do a lot with such a short segment. Maybe next time :)
Yeah I agree, I also really wish I caught Shapesmith with the frozen pizzas, could've helped my case for the "lack of awareness" take a lot. Odds are I'll bring those up for Season 3, it wouldn't add much to the plate and would be pretty fun
I think this is the best invincible video on RUclips
This video means a lot to me. It helps me remember that all my feelings are valid, and it helps me remember all the people that have told me I’ve helped them.
It reminds me that despite all the ways I’m down on myself, all the flaws I have, all the trauma I’ve experienced, I still love to help people just for the sake of it; and when normal people love to help others for the sake of it.. they are heroes in their own way despite their flaws.
Thank you, I’m showing all my friends your analyses of my favorite show. I can tell you’re a hero too, despite your flaws
Never before have I been so excited after the words "We need to talk about this cabinet"
Also, I'm glad someone else thought the same thing about Theo, because my initial thought was "Wait, wasn't this the *main rule* of the support group that he's now breaking? If anything bad happens it's his own damn fault"
i mean i feel like the hate towards amber stems from two main moments
Td:lr 1. the show made amber seem completely in the right for something that was more complex and 2. joked about how mark learned how it felt to be lied to after mark nearly got killed by his own father.
1. the way the show made it kinda seem like amber was mad at mark for running away from the robot zombie when he didn't run away and acually went to solve the root of the problem.
Amber was completely valid in how mad she was but the show portrayed mark as uniquivicly the bad guy when in reality it was a complex issue that was framed black and white
2. the moment after mark's beating by nolan when she jokes about how mark learning how it feels to be lied.
which is just an asshole move. mark was nearly killed by his own father who slaughtered hundreds of people, called his mother a pet. he found out everything his father has told him about their their alien origin was a lie. this was something that was so monumently world shattering that it cant even be compared to mark's lies about his SECRET identity and being a really shitty BF for 5 months
i was one of those people who really hated amber but after hearing you talk about it, it softened my views. the EMS thing you brought up made me understand more. maybe it is because i haven't experienced anything similar to this and i too hope i dont have too but i still feel like the show framed a bit strangly.
amazing video as always, you've quickly become one of my favorite channels
throughout season 1 and then season 2, there are multiple moments where mark "loses it" and has a tantrum, like he goes beserk, and all of it culminates in angstroms last scene. i'm interested to know what you think about that, what the implications might me and where it will lead, or maybe what those tantrums symbolize
I mean, anger issues are a common thing with growing Humans, it's possible Viltrumites have a similar deal. If we wanted to pull something more meaningful from it, there are any number of nuerodivergences and mental disorders (bipolar depression, ADHD, lots and lots of things lead to anger issues and mood swing) which would make sense with his "nerdy" interests as those also gravitate to people of said nature.
Actually, every time he gets that mad, it's because someone gets hurt or is being threatened. That might be a nod to the mentality Humans have of "mess with me, not my friends and family." It leads him to do very destructive things, which could be a statement of "this is a potentially toxic mindset" in that it's basically saying you don't matter enough to get that angry for yourself? I think that's my bias talking, but the whole "get angry for others" thing is def what they were going for
YESSS THE FOOD THEORY PART 2!!!!
Should I sleep before work or watch this new video thats out?
Hmmm... sleep is overrated.
YES!!! I WAS HOPING THIS WOULD COME OUT 🙏🥰 amazing video always!!! Your analysis are so in-depth yet easy to take in :) keep up the great work!!!!
Finally someone that apreciates good old ice
Time to binge
Oh poor Debbie, well at least she raised a good son...which makes you wonder what was the difference between our Debbie and all of the other Debbie's in other dimensions?? So many others joined up with Nolan- was our Debbie stronger, less heroworshippy?? And we've never met her parents, Mark's grandparents- are they in the comics?? And love this little series btw, food in film is always important, symbolic- the restaurant scene in "Reservoir Dogs" is full of bonding and peacocking and posturing and hard funny truths, the spaghetti in Lady&TheTramp will always be the eptipme of romance lol, the meals in Tarantino's "Inglorious Bastards" are all fraught with tension and falling oranges will always ALWAYS remind me of death...and now I'm hungry😂😂
I've been having a really rough night tonight thanks to my own disabilities and am very thankful for such an awesome vid to be the perfect midnight snack I needed to pick me up. Thank you so much for your amazing analysis, hilarious delivery, and sincere expression in regards to some important lessons I think we can all benefit from being reminded of. ❤
Your first food video poped up in my recs. I do like me some food. Eating right now, in fact. Mmm, yummy chicken.
Subscribed.
The lizard league bugged me because ray + knife or some glass and done
@@sneezingidiot301 Fr, hell skip the weaponry and just go for a brain hemorrhage
the amber thing really is just that one scene she says she knew the whole time. it made it all not makes sense
As someone who will never concede that the season 1 Amber break up scene was dogshit and that she was a bitch in it, Amber in all of season 2 was fantastic and its break up scene was heartbreaking and really well done, I can't believe anyone could hate Amber after season 2 unless they're racist/sexist
this is lore
YES MORE FOOOODDD I WAS WAITING FOR THISSSS
I was waiting for this 🎉

People don't like Amber and Mark's relationship (and rightfully so) because Amber is a BAD CHARACTER in Season 1. Like, How Not To Write A Character 101.
In season 2 she feels like an entirely different character that treats Mark and her relationship with him with a HELL OF A LOT more nuance. And its far better written. However, because of season 1, her tone shift is entirely unearned.
Wonderful video! I still disagree on the alcohol point. There are things you can’t understand without experiencing people who have experience with alcohol, or experience with alcohol yourself. It creates the same black and white thinking that can happen with folks hating amber due to lack of experience. I appreciate the energy and thought behind it but I respectfully and firmly disagree. Alcohol and its related nuance go really deep, and without that capacity to empathize with people struggling with it, it’ll never give them a fair assessment as characters, as people who are characters in the media we consume.
This is just a waste of a video
And a comment, apparently
