Why the skittles are different colours under neath:
Skittles are made using machines, the skittles are flavoured before they are coloured.
Sometimes the skittles flavours get mixed up :)

Hey wengie! I don’t work for skittles, but my older cousin has a job at the original skittles factory in Chicago, and has told me all about the color differences. Originally, they all start out as a type of taffy, so the original color before they even get painted is a pale orange color. They then get a thin white sugar resin coating (which is the white part you see after dissolving the color) and then they are colored in their rainbow coating. However, obviously not all the skittles are perfect, so some of them get a lighter, or no white coating at all from being at the bottom of the batch, and that is the color “mix up” that you see 😁
