Very informative and detailed review, I was looking for lost cost blade for my out door needs. For a knife being made in China it did actual very well thanks to your mods.
I took off the handles before stripping the blade just so The stripper didn’t start to eat through the handle. I left most of the coating on the tang though.
I used an angle grinder with a flap disk to blend the secondary edge then followed with a slack belt on a 1x30 grinder to get the convex. Rolled a little bit of the edge once while battening through a big piece of red cedar and hit a hard spot. Only time I chipped it was after hitting a rock when chopping a root. Both sharpened out pretty easily. I don’t have much experience with BK2 so not sure how it compares.

You got that blade really well done ,Nice Job.
Good video and that AR tattoo is super cool... Thanks.
Outstanding knife handling skills! Thanks for the video, I just received mine and looking forward to using it!
Good idea for the strop...old leather belts 👍
I don’t add the “for the money” comment any more. It’s just one of the very best blades out there...period.
Yep I agree it's either good or not for the money has nothing to do with it
For the price theres no better camp/bush knife on the market. Ive owned mine for 3 years with no issues.
Good job on the mod.
Nice Video. Thx,
That chops better than my bk9 and rtak 2. I just don't like the point, sheath, handle and recurve.
You are a CHAMPION for this! When you put on the convex, did you use a tool to measure the angle or did you just eyeball it?
Pretty much just eyeballed it.
Did you have to take the handle off to strip the black coating? I like mine too.. :)

👍🏻💯
How did u convex it?
Any chips or rolls so far?
How does it compare VS Becker BK21

I got this and Bark River Bravo Machrete
Gave the 10 away ,kept the Bark River
on a glass table, and I was thinking it was gonna break
the table, not the knife
did you sharpen it right out of the box?
For the money? It looks like it chops better than a bk9 for half the price
