I discovered this song by itself in a YTPMV in, like, 2012, and now years later I discovered that YOU wrote it! And your music library is fantastic! Look Forward got me into you as an artist recently, but discovering that you wrote 8-bit kids with Dreams too almost feels like it was fate to find your music. Thank you, seriously. You're one of my favorite artists.
i looooove this song, it's so beautiful and magical! after listening to this alot, i noticed there's a part of the song that sounds like the happy birthday tune ("happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you"), and just now i'm reading your description that this song was to celebrate your brother's birthday! xD so neat!
For some reason, this is one of my favorite chiptunes. It got me through a lot of tough times in late 2009 and early 2010, so I want to thank you for that. I wish you would have uploaded this to YT sooner!! :P Great song, bro. : )
this track really is underated, it helped me out throughout and when i moved it moved with me. thank you for making this track, really means alot to me
Today (April 14, 2018) my brother is turning 19 years old. I immediately reminded myself of this song to listen. Sadly enough he's not a fan of chiptunes like me :(
Not going to lie, thanks to CrispyYoshi 1 year and 6 days ago, I stumbled upon your song and his rendition of it. I've listened to both version at least over 200 times, it's such a happy song that still keeps me in high spirits! Your brother received a very cool present back in 2007. Sir, I am glad you are back and allowed this video to be viewed again, and I was hoping I can receive your permission to use CrispyYoshi's SNES rendition of your song in a fan mod of Super Mario World.
Not going to lie, every since CrispyYoshi ported your song. I've listened to his rendition and your original port the entire year, man it feel just like yesterday when I first heard this song (but now it's actual a year and 6 days ago). Such an amazingly happy song that always kept me in high spirits! Sir, I am glad you are back and I was wondering if I could use Crispy's SNES port in a fan SMW mod of mine.
skyline, traxinspace...is it the late 90s again? All that's needed is the knowledge that you wrote the song in an hour with random samples dictated by someone else.
I don't mean that it's bad, it's just that there are so many different iterations of this that and I don't know why people remixed it in the first place- there's nothing all that funny about it? It's just good
People make covers of this for a couple reasons, I think. It's catchy, distinct, and very enjoyable (I can imagine it's hard to look at your own work a decade later, but this really is a good track!) Usually the "humor" in the covers of songs like this come from the bizarre sources people use for the instruments. What's really most important in those covers, though, is the change in the feel of the audio with different instrumentation. In fact, a lot of covers avoid humor entirely (If you can see Lake - Pokemon Diamond & Pearl in the related videos, do give it a listen, the title is misleading)! In short, people really like the song and have lots of fun experimenting with the instruments. I think the right word would be "inspiring".
@MilkshakeManSeePee Your YTPMV sent me here. xD By the way Artuir82, I hope you don't mind me resequencing this song into SPC/SNES format. I'm crediting you, of course.
+Sims (Ssms) I have been making music as a hobby for nearly 20 years. I don't think I could truly stop if I tried. But no, nothing really release worthy.
Artuir82 well it's cool to know you're still creating wether youre publishing it or not. love your work dude, hope u start putting it out again someday 👌
It's great to see that you're still around! Is there anywhere else that you've posted your music? There were a lot of songs on your soundcloud that I missed listening too.
What a shame i’ve discovered this beautiful track only now

@Ты клоун no object havoc one was from 2014
I love how you worked in the melody to Happy Birthday at 0:33 since it's a birthday song! That's a really sweet little detail :)
The squares seem to be slacking off, some of them are only doing 52% of their duty.
Eheheheheheh, i see what chu diiiiid-
is that my lost brother
I want to cry everytime that I hear that, it's beatiful, I hear since 2014, wonderful work, Artuir.
@TheJEShow - Thank you! This was written after a several year long tracking hiatus so I was very rusty. Love of melody never goes away, though.
JEShow originally, here. Still coming back six years later. Stone cold classic.

Hey, that's okay. My brother doesn't like my music either - hence no 16, 32, 64, or 128 bit kids with dreams sequels! :D
Today (April 14, 2019) he's turning 20 years old. How time flies.
@@RoddyDev damn in 2 months your brother is turning 21... time does go fast.

Great music. Can't wait for more!
Hey! Thank you for making this, it's really amazing and sad at the same time.
happy birthday to yooou
Reddit showed me this. This music I'd say was ahead of its time before people started to appreciate 8Bit again.. Glad it's around.
this is one of the single best uses of a tracker to date, i believe. i would love to get my hands on the samples used, if only to pay homage.
Finally found this gem again after so many years!

classic,,,,,,,
Sometimes it reminds me of some Cave Story music
maybe it's just because xenophol did one of his pseudo-ytpmv things with this, but this desperately needs a jungle remix
Love it!
Oh yeah, this kinda reminds me of Boards of Canada,if you know the band. But again, great music!
