@@illya0000 yeah, it got disturbing lyrics, talking lyrics, and droning instrumentals. if you want a carbon copy of daughters you can listen to as the sun sets as well. but there are many similar bands to daughters, none with the same feel but similar. lightning bolt, the locust, help, the sawtooth grin, 156/silence, some swans, brainbombs, mouth breather, list goes on.
I was at this show, and as sad as I was to see one of my favorite bands call it a day, these two shows were the first time I'd seen Daughters since like, 2008. And then they went and put out the best album of 2018! It's seriously fantastic to have them back.

Then in 2006 Hell Songs with Nick coming back, as well as Brent Frattini. Then Brent left, and in 2010 the Self Titled came out with the modern line up of Nick, Lex, Jon, and Sam, (+ touring guitarist).
I'm so thankful for TDEP breaking up and inviting this monumental band to perform. It is bitter sweet. But through the ashes arises a band with such force and creativity that it makes waves. Now they are selling out shows constantly with their new phenomenal album. I fucking love it. I love Daughters. I love you all

For a band to stick out opening for Dillinger, in 22004,is quite an accomplishment. They had swag and were technical even though they seemed to be moving up and down their guitar necks at random everyone was on point and it was all in perfect unison.That made me check out Canada Songs and I have loved everything since.So exciting to have new Daughters music !

to pick one out of all their songs, I'd say that the dizzying, weightless, and confused abstracted-melancholy of "Daughters Spelled Wrong" might best characterize the ketamine experience. the rest of their catalog tho, in general, ...nah.

@@jonniefast that's kind of common with the sasscore/grind bands though. not too many bands stuck with the sound. Daughters matured and expanded. so did the Blood Brothers. not everyone can stick to it and keep it fresh like the Locust or An Albatross. many of the greats (The Great Redneck Hope, the Sawtooth Grin, Charles Bronson) only stuck it for like 1 or 2 albums.

I believe they're actually just playing with pitch shifters and an overdrive or two, with maybe a little plate reverb with the effect all the way up and the decay all the way down
Maybe they're just there to enjoy the music and not possibly get hurt. I think not moshing is absolutely fine and you should respect everyone around you. Some people around you may not want to mosh or just dance alone because they're at a concert to enjoy the concert.
