  • This is as fast as I can explain how I add Co2 into my aquariums. It is a little impromptu- I wish I turned my air pumps off to cut down on the background noise, but I wanted to record immediately because the Persicaria kawagoeanum was flowering...I couldn't miss that moment.
How do I add Co2? It is a plastic bottle that contains a suspended Co2 bubble. The lid is on, but there are added holes in the bottom. To adjust how much Co2 is diffused into the water, adjust the size of the holes. You can also increase diffusion by adding a flow of water across the bottom, or placing the bubble deeper(adds pressure).
Refill this with virtually anything that dispenses Co2. There is a product commonly available, an aerosol spray can, for this exact purpose.
With this system you can rid forgo the pricey regulator, Co2 tank, diffuser, etc.

Yes, in the morning. By the time the light are ready to go off the bubble is gone.
